This ECOWAS must be very delusional to think it can block an exit that has already occurred and being forgotten. BigIyanga:Most countries where Nigeria airplane flies through are not part of ECOWAS. Before the founding of ECOWAS, Nigerian planes flew through those junta countries. Somalia didn't have to be in ECOWAS before Nigeria participated in its peace-keeping missions. ECOWAS is not a military organization, it is primarily an economic one. So, the only reason why anyone should lobby the military juntas is if they contribute net positively to ECOWAS purse but they don't. In short, ECOWAS is not needed in order to have a commercial or security cooperation with another country. |
