Former Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, and other notable Nigerian political figures, including Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, are attending the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, the United States as Special Guests of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) based in Washington DC.

Former Senate President Ken Nnamani was also at the Convention, while the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, was also invited, but it remains unclear if he accepted the invitation.

The National Democratic Institute, a non-profit and non-partisan organisation founded in 1983, promotes democratic values worldwide.

It supports democratic institutions through technical assistance to political parties, civic groups, and election processes, with a focus on citizen participation, transparency, and accountability.

Osinbajo’s presence underscores his growing international engagement since leaving office in May 2023.

They have seen the formula to political success and are following the template closely, but abinibi is different from ability.

Well, it is not a crime to copy in 2024 what Tinubu did in 2012. It is only testament to the fact that when Bola Tinubu was playing international politics, some were still village champions.

So Tinubu was right when he said it was his turn to rule Nigeria.

Teething problems for the current administration, together with sacrifices that must be made by all Nigerians.

There is certainly light at the end of the tunnel with the Tinubu administration.

Osinbajo would never have domiciled public funds in the bank that he had significant interests and was a former board Chairman.

Osinbajo would never have invested public funds in his own private brewery.

Osinbajo would never have lied that he quit his private job before taking up a political office, only for the UK records to show that it was a lie.

Osinbajo did not hide wealth acquired in public office in hidden offshore accounts under his daughter's name, that were only opened after political office.

Osinbajo is a bright mind that became a young SAN, not a struggling student.
