I won’t be surprised if they introduce subsidy and claim it’s invisible reforms, after all they denied paying subsidies for a long time while they were doing so. Agbado can do anything for power grab and run 13 Likes 1 Share |

Gradually we would get there. That is the effect of healthy competition and not the monopoly nature some people want to keep on practicing. God bless Nigeria and Nigerian. Good morning good people of Nairaland, God bless our day. Amen 14 Likes 7 Shares |

The problem wasn’t subside removal, but floating the naira at the same time. Now that our Chicago economist has started strengthening the naira with over $8billion and it seems the dollar has started coming down for obvious reasons, I expect the fuel to also come down. I also expected the shallow thinkers to start praising the olodo of a president. Expect the prices of dollars and the petrol to further go down until after the elections. And expect the real or new prices after the elections. Sebi una no wise ni. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

ibabz:How long will he be doing this,am a crypto enthusiast he should embrace cryptocurrency & Nigeria should have her own stable digital currency this is overdue I thought we would had created it since instead of yeye E-naira.I read somewhere of cNGN instead of holding USDT then we Nigerians even some Africans can wish to hold it & I believed it will help close the wide exchange margin btwn $ & # God bless Nigeria 1 Like |

cococandy: So you actually believe the price is coming down? Wait until after the elections. This man will do everything to make people believe his policies are working. The same way dollars went down last week, now the fuel. A simple logical explanation for this is that elections preparation is behind the corner and they must get something to use for their campaign. Pls write this down, if by mistake, Tinubu wins the second term election, dollar is going above N2000. 4 Likes |

What this people don’t know is that Nigerians are always at the receiving end of this unstable economy. Now that the price of fuel has come down to N850, you should have expected the prices of transportation, goods and services to also come down accordingly. But unfortunately the price won’t come down, and if by tomorrow the price of fuel goes back to N1200 from the new N850, the prices will be adjusted accordingly immediately. 4 Likes 1 Share |

givedemwotowoto: This can’t be far from the truth. Election is behind the corners and they must prove to the idiots that their policies have started working. The same way they have been secretly pumping money to support the naira just to prove that their policies are working. |

Nigerians are not thanking NNPCL enough. If not NNPCL holding that man called Dangote accountable and competing favorably with him, Fuel would have been sold N1500/Litre. That’s what a lot of us don’t understand, they are busy clapping for a well known monopolist because he removed N65. Nigerians will never cease to amaze you. Someone that even when BUA reduced his cement price, he refused to reduce his own and threatened BUA and IBETO. Btw, Dangote refinery is just adjusting to FX rate direction & playing a monopoly card to push out Importers. And from all economist analysis, it was concluded that our Naira is undervalued, the real value is between 950-1002 Naira. If CBN can reflect this, then PMS should be between 400-600 Naira. Then PBAT have written his name in gold in the history of this nation. I love how President Tinubu is gradually bringing Nigeria to the position we’ve always yearned for. Crash in Petrol Price, crash in food price, crash in dollar rate… crash crash crash…!!! 2 Likes 1 Share |

linkers: Unfortunately, this would have more negative impacts on the economy than positive impacts. One would have expected the prices of transportation, goods and services to reduce. But not in Nigeria. However when the price of fuel goes back to the old price of N1200, you will see the prices of goods and services increases accordingly. |
