Kemzone2003: @Missaine
Lets not get this issue twisted...Authenticating in Abuja base on my understanding is not a must do...but a good to do idea. Why?

In Nigeria,The Fact that u get a document from the local goverment office or NPC office or someone claim to have secured it for you from NPC does not mean it originated through the normal process.

All this tout at different local govt..Thats their job...U might not even find some affidavit on government records sef...but somebody working closely with the Local Govt office will just type the letter and get it stamped and signed by anybody.

Lets close this Chapter..He is only a little bit more careful by suggesting u veryify or authenticate that all the document issue to you are properly documented in the relevant government records. because if for any reason the US Consulate decides to check and Cannot find the records...No matter how innocent you might be..They will Claim Forgery and hold you Liable.

Sory for the story...that was my contribution.

If only my friends here saw my good intentions rather than making me look like someone out to mislead people, all the past argument wouldn't have resulted. Let's learn to respect others inputs. Thanks my brother.

Gentiger:

Dear Missanne, I genuinely respect your inputs and the roles you've played in this forum. But I think it's not too ideal to ask from a lawyer prescription for sickness. Ask a Doctor. If you need information on NPC and any matter thereto, pls do go to their office at Babs Animashaun street Surulere. You will be better informed. Thank you.

Thank once again, but does it mean that NPC will issue me a fake Attestation of Birth Document? @Gentiger. Why do i still need to Authenticate it
Can u pls give me the complete Address in Surulere. Thanks.

Dont be worried some mistakes are very honest...no intent to do anything...they are human they will understand if they see the consistency in all your other documents which reflects your correct date of birth....

After You receive your second Notification Letter. The completed original Form(s) DS-230, Form DS-122 and photographs you submitted in Step 2, will be sent by KCC to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where you will be interviewed.

Nothing to worry about...U dont need to send them a mail...U can just note the mistake and state it during ur interview to the CO if he raises any question.Use other document like Ur WAEC Certificate etc showing the correct DOB

Medical Ground for Inadmissibility of Immigrant Including DV

Medical eligibility is a requirement of INA Sections 212(a) and 221(d). Failure to provide required information may cause delay or denial of immigrant visas. If an immigrant visa is not issued, all medical eligibility forms will be treated as confidential under INA Section 222(f).

CLASSIFICATION OF APPLICANTS
To determine the inadmissibility of an applicant, medical conditions are categorized as class A or B.

Class A conditions are defined as those that preclude an immigrant or refugee from entering the United States. Class A conditions are illnesses of public health importance that prohibit a person from entering the United States. Many international immigrant come from countries where Class A conditions are more common than in the United States.

Class A conditions include:

•Tuberculosis
•Syphilis
•Chancroid
•Gonorrhea
•Granuloma inguinale
•Lymphogranuloma venereum
•Hansen's disease (leprosy)
•Mental Disorders (with Associated Harmful Behavior)
•Substance Abuse
The diseases in the following two categories are also Class A conditions:

•Quarantinable diseases designated by any Presidential Executive Order: cholera, diphtheria, infectious tuberculosis, plague, smallpox, yellow fever, viral hemorrhagic fevers, severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), and novel influenza (e.g. pandemic flu).
•Events that are reportable as a public health emergency of international concern to the World Health Organization under the International Health Regulations of 2005: polio, smallpox, SARS, novel/pandemic influenza (flu), and other public health emergencies of international concern.

Class B conditions are defined as physical or mental abnormalities, diseases, or disabilities serious enough or permanent in nature, as to amount to a substantial departure from normal well-being.
Required Evaluation
After completing the required evaluations for communicable diseases of public health significance, for physical and mental disorders that may result in harmful behavior, and for psychoactive substance abuse, the physician must consider any other findings in the history or physical examination that constitute a substantial departure from normal health or well-being, and must complete any diagnostic procedures necessary to determine

a. the likely diagnosis

b. whether the disorder will affect the alien's ability to care for himself or herself, attend school, hold a job, or engage in other age-appropriate activities

c. whether rehabilitation or special training will be required

d. whether the applicant is likely to require extensive medical care or institutionalization after arrival in the United States.

2. Reporting of Results
The panel physician should provide additional information about each of the Class B conditions in the "Remarks" section of the medical report form. For each condition identified, the panel physician should

a. estimate the severity of impairment as mild, moderate, or severe

b. if possible, estimate the likely outcome of rehabilitation as minimal, partial, or full recovery of function

c. predict the need for hospital or institutional care beyond that expected for a person of the applicant's age (i.e., normal need for increased medical care in the elderly should not be considered)

If the panel physician identifies a physical or mental abnormality but is unable to make a diagnosis, assess the potential for harmful behavior, estimate the severity of impairment, or determine the potential for rehabilitation, the applicant should be referred for diagnostic evaluation. Completion of the medical report should be deferred until the evaluation is complete.

Unfortunately last year for Asian region cases up to 8000 was current, but this year it only 1900, we have to wait then,

I called KCC to ask about 2nd NL, the response which I received was to visit travel.state.gov 15th of each month to see when your case number is going to be current, then KCC schedule your interview, by the way where are from dude?
Re: DV 2013 Winners Meet Here by brightmon: 8:23pm On Aug 16, 2012
If you from Asia then you shuld also know that Bangladesh did not participate in DV 2013 because they have had more than 50,000 Immigrant to the US in the past 5 years they use to be the highest applicants from Asia.
The visa bulletin for Asia oct 08: 2900, 09: 7000, 10: 9000, 11: 8000 and 2012: 1900.
So for this figure, visa bulletin will not help you.
Due to Bangladesh not participating, it redused the no of applicants from asia and resulted to what noticed in the 2012 visa bulletin.
Personal opinion; Your case "MAY" be current next year but also advice you what KCC told you, keep checking the visa bulletin very 15th of each month.
