Look at many threads posted on the FP on Nairaland where some people are seeking advice/information about some personal challenges they're facing, you'd struggle to find a genuine piece of advice that can help the person, especially on the first page of the threads. The cyber bullies would be the one calling the person all sorts of names and abuses. You'd get more mature responses to issues on Quora. |

Segedinho:Should I give you the house address of the deceased so you can go tell her family? Since you keep repeating the same statement over and over again without even knowing the details of the incident. |

If a person has a genuine problem in need of advice and they post it on Nairaland, the cyber bullies will push the person into depression. That's the major problem here. Say no to cyber bullying. |
![]() |
Segedinho:Obviously, you don't know the content of the interview granted by the lady. You're just making ignorant posts all about instead of making proper findings about the incident first. You don't even know the program in question. |

It's the same way many Nigerians bully others on Nairaland here daily. See filmsy excuses in support of and justifying cyber bullying. |
![]() |
Segedinho:Continue justifying and looking for excuses for cyber bullying till it happens to you or someone you know. If a person posts a real life story about some low points in their life online without the story even containing any controversial content, the cyber bullies would still attack them calling it fake just as you're doing now, which won't enable the person get the help they need. I've seen a number of individuals that many people had written off at low points in their lives, who then went on to achieve great things later on in life. Nigerians are too self-righteous, lacking empathy, and judge others too harshly. |

Segedinho:That's you jumping to conclusions without making proper findings first. The lady's face was blurred during the interview. Obviously, you don't know anything about the actress' show and the different real life stories narrated by guests on the program. |
![]() |
Segedinho:Her face was blurred during the interview. She was just sharing her ordeal, what she had gone through with certain relatives while growing up, and the interviewer stated now that she had even arranged how she would see a therapist to help her heal. Many Nigerians judge too much, too harshly. 1 Like 1 Share |

Mindlog:She shouldn't have divulged such controversial information. Even so, human life is too cheap in this country. Even people without such a controversial story still experience cyber bullying if they post their personal stories online at low points in their lives. That's the issue I've with cyber bullies specifically, not even the lady in question as I don't support the act she narrated in the interview. 1 Like |

I don't even support bestiality. My issue is with the Nigerian cyber bullies. If you share some good news about yourself online now or a personal problem, the bullies will attack as usual. I don't know what people gain in being wicked to their fellow humans. |

OkpaNsukkaisBae:I never supported the information she revealed in the interview. My issue is with the online bullies that dominate the Nigerian cyberspace. These bullies would find the slightest excuse to call others the worst of names online. It's the same way they bullied this lady they also do to others in need of relationship advise, career information, or those involved in one mishap or the other. If you share a personal story online without any controversial content, you can expect the bullies on the Nigerian online space to call you bad names. It's just what these people do habitually whether or not the story is controversial. That's why it's always good for young people to use social media and Nairaland with moderation because of wicked, vile people like this. 1 Like |

What the lady needed was a therapist. Cyber bullying is bad. It costs nothing to be kind in words to your fellow humans. |
![]() |
Segedinho:Many Nigerians that celebrate all sorts criminality don't have the moral right to bully the lady. These are people you can't even trust with your misplaced personal belongings, such as a mobile phone, wallet, or car keys that they'll return them to you if found. Such corrupt and morally bankrupt people don't have any moral right to bully the lady online into depression and eventually suicide because they're even worse. It's the same way the lady was bullied that many Nigerians bully others that seek help in the form of information on Nairaland here. Nigerians would find the slightest excuse to exhibit their vile, wicked nature. Life is too cheap in this country. |

GloriousGbola:Winding? Did you watch the actress' video on IG reporting the event about 30 minutes ago? |

It's always good for one to limit the use of social media and Nairaland. Too many vile and wicked people. |

This lady, who said she slept with dogs when she was interviewed recently by the Yoruba actress Biola Bayo, just committed suicide, according to the actress, due to the online abuses by the self-righteous IG users. Nigeria really has some of the most wicked humans on the planet, and coincidentally, these are often the most religious people. So much religion, and yet, so little humanity. I don't know what Nigerians gain by bullying other people online. The interview posted on FP earlier: https://www.nairaland.com/8117869/get-myself-2-dogs-satisfy

Seun, it's going to one month now since I made this post. Yet, you didn't give any response and no action has been taken. Your forum doesn't support African cultures and traditions. At different occasions, I've been banned on some threads for promoting good aspects of African cultures and traditions. I was just banned this morning as well on a general discussion thread for the same reason. Kindly deactivate my account. I'm done here. You can't force members to be on your site when they don't want to any longer unless Nairaland has become a cult. |

A youth full of energy hiding behind his keyboard posting nonsense online calling for a 90-year-old to continue leading activism and social justice campaigns in his old age the same he'd been doing in his younger years. Some people are sick upstairs. Spineless keyboard warrior 1 Like |

BlueRayDick:I don't read nonsense first thing in the morning, noisemaker and keyboard warrior. Keep ranting and rant from now till the next year, WS still remains one of the greatest African minds alive. That's a statement of fact, which is true whether he supports your candidate or not. 1 Like |

BlueRayDick:Just intensify your effort calling for a 90-year-old man to continue leading campaigns for social justice and activism against the corrupt political class at old age, while you (a youth full of energy) hide behind your keyboard making funny posts. Many people are hypocrites, and people that are "real" like WS are scarce, which is why he's highly respected by many home and abroad. Many people that make posts and noises online about good causes don't mean or practice what they say offline, and they do the direct opposite in the real world offline. Talk is cheap. Only few humans really practice what they preach online in the real world. 6 Likes 1 Share |

BlueRayDick:You're not making any kind of sense. He used his literary works to fight for social justice during the military era, something most online noisemakers today don't have the courage to to do. And that was partly one of the reasons he won the Nobel prize in literature. So, you can't separate his academic achievements from his activism and social justice feats. It's easy to make tweets online and make Nairaland posts. Offline is the real deal, and most people are just noisemakers, including people that type silly posts on Nairaland about Wole Soyinka. I'd take your comment more seriously if you've ever done any form of activism or organized a program that fought for social justice, not mere online noises. If you've ever done so, then you'd see the enormity of what WS has achieved in Nigeria's history. You're just making online noises expecting a 90-year-old to continue organizing activism and social justice programs at old age. I don't even understand how many of you reason. Like I said before, it's easy to make online noises and rants. Offline is where the real work is, and we know the real men and women with the courage to record key achievements in the country's history, one of which is WS. Everyone can't support your candidate. That's a reality you need to come to terms with. 4 Likes |

BlueRayDick:What has Wole Soyinka become in his old age? Lols, regardless of online rants and noises like this, WS has written his name boldly on the sands of time as one of the greatest Africans of the 20th/21st century. I just read some funny posts like this online and laugh. Wole Soyinka is currently one of the few greatest and most accomplished African writers alive. That's a fact, which is true regardless of whether he supports your candidate or not. 3 Likes |

He has barely spent one year in office. He don dey strategize how to become a sit-tight president. What's wrong with four years for a single term? 5 Likes |

Unlimited22:With your academic qualifications and skills, you'll find it easier. There's enough money to be made on Upwork if you've key technical skills, such as research writing, technical writing, academic writing, programming, software development, and the likes. It's low-skilled people that find it difficult getting jobs on Upwork. I'd encourage you to consider it if you've a valid means of identification, such as international passport, voter's card, digital ID card (NIN slip alone won't be enough), or driver's license. 2 Likes |
