If you understand what standard of living is, you will not think twice before you relocate to Canada. Leaving out poverty mentality aside, N7M per annum is not a big deal. I feel blessed to have crossed over here from the sister thread after receiving my ppr last week . Please I urgently need your advise/ opinions and comparisons between Mississauga and Brampton. I’ll be as detailed as I can about what’s important to me at this point.
1. Job opportunities. My kind of job is not industry-specific. It’s more of administrative duties and I am currently building my career as a health and safety professional. So I basically need a place with more job and networking opportunities and higher pay

2. Transportation. I want a city with good public transport system as I may not be driving for some months.

3. Accommodation. I’m a single lady so I’m basically looking for a room in a shared apartment or a studio if it’s not too expensive.
From my research, Brampton has cheaper rents but Mississauga is more diversified as per jobs. Also read that crime rate is higher in Brampton.
Please I’ll deeply appreciate any advice or opinions. I intend to land first week in November.
Also any suggestions for other cities in Ontario in very welcome.
P.s: the only reason i didn’t mention Toronto is cos of the high rents and Ottawa cos I read in different places that it is too laid back.

There's nothing else to do as you have gathered all the necessary points from education and IELTS. However, make sure you ticked Ontario as one of the provinces you wish to stay in your express entry application. We are in the same category and the only way out is to also pursue PNP. I will advise you go and study saskachewan PNP very well. You can pre-fill the forms right now and be on standby till when the next application window will open. I slightly missed the last time. At the same time, please keep in touch as well.

I dont agree with this. We should give valuable information to whoever needs it no matter how lengthy it is. You probably don't know how these information have helped people here a lot. I have been a silent reader of this thread since last year and I have been following all the conversation. However, I have some few questions.
I have an MEng, MBA, PGD & HND (Elect & Elect) all evaluated by WES. My IELTS results came out yesterday in which myself and my wife performed poorly though. We both scored 6.5 and 6 average (We dint really prepare for it). I am the PA and my wife ECA is not yet ready.

Be that as it may, I still entered the pool and got a CRS score of 325 which is surprisingly low. Now the questions...

1. Could this be as a result of the poor IELTS result?
2. Could this be age related as I am 40 and wifey is 39?
3. Why is this score so low?
4. What other options can we pursue?

I have entered the Job Bank and discovered I could apply for couple of jobs there.
We are planning to write IELTS again but I'm just wondering if that alone will fetch enough marks to get an ITA.

Your advice is needed please.
