1. Bathing/Ghusl - Bukhari
2. Cut nails - Bukhari
3. To wear nice cloth - Abu Dawood
4. Use perfume - Ibn Majah
5. Going early to jumaat prayer - Bukhari
6. Walking to masjid for Jumaat prayer - Tirmidi
7. If the saffs (rows) are already filled, one should not jump over the shoulders of the musallies in order to get to the front - Abu Dawood
8. Listening attentively to khutbah - Bukhari
9. Making a lot of du'a - Bukhari
10. Reading Suratul-kahf - Soheeh Al-targheeb.

Today is another Friday (Jumu'ah)!

These Are The Etiquettes For Salaatul-Jumuah!!!

★ Purifying and cleaning oneself.......The person intending to perform Salaatul-Jumuah is highly encouraged to have Ritual ghusl.

★ Using perfume (males only)... The Prophet said: “Any woman who puts on perfume and passes by people so that they can smell her fragrance is an adulteress .” [Abu Dawood and Tirmidhi].

★ Going early to the masjid.....There is a great reward in going early to Salatul-Jumuah.

★ Dressing well for Salaatul-Jumuah...... This is a special time that requires Muslims to appear in the best manner possible.

★ Reciting Sooratul-Kahf (Chapter 18 of the Qur'aan)... The Soorah could be read anytime of the day.

★ Walking to the Masjid whenever feasible as there is a reward for every step taken to the Masjid.

★ Going to the Masjid in a state of calmness and not being hurried.

★ Performing tahiyyatul-Masjid... The prophet said, "If one of you enters the mosque, do not sit until you pray two Raka'ats." [Bukhari and Muslim].

★ Avoiding stepping over people to get to a particular spot in the Masjid.

★ Avoiding dividing two people who are sitting together.

★ Not making someone stand and taking his place.

★ Not clasping one’s hands and intertwining one’s fingers while waiting for the prayer.

★ Sitting in the front rows and close to the Imaam whenever possible.

★ Remaining quiet while the Imam is delivering the khutbah.....This actually includes listening to the Imaam and not playing with anything while the Imaam is speaking.

Note: Saying "Jumu‘atu Mubaarak, “Jumu‘atu Tayyibah, or Jumu'atu Kareem is Bid'ah (Innovation)

The Prophet said: "If anybody introduces a practice which is not authenticated by me, it is to be rejected". [Bukhari and Muslim].

May Almighty Allaah accept our prayer as an act of worship.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh (May Allah’s Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

Hadith Narrated by Imam Muslim, Abu-Dawod, Al-Nesai, and Al-Tirmidhi

Prophet Mohammad (P.B.U.H) had said, “The best day during which the sun has risen is Friday. It is the Day Adam was created. It is the day when Adam entered paradise and also when he was taken out from it. It is also the day on which the Day of Judgment takes place.”

The above hadith summed up the importance of Friday in Islam. The sixth day of the Islamic week is Friday (Yaum-ul-Jummah) which has its own values and virtues in the sight of Allah SWT and it is demonstrated in Quran to us that Master of all days is Friday(Jummah tul Mubarak). There is absolutely no denying the importance of the day Jummah just as the Allah SWT “All-Knowing” “All-Wise” has ordered and chosen the month of Ramadan, the days of Hajj, or the Night of Qadr etc. in significance above other days of the year; Allah SWT has chosen and decreed the significance of Friday (Jummah) above the other days of the week

MERITS OF FRIDAY THE HOLY DAY

There are countless blessings of Friday one cannot sum up all of them in a single article. However few blessings are listed below which tells us what Friday brings to us.

There is a blessed hour on Friday during which a person is granted anything lawful and good by Allah SWT that he prays for. The blessed hour on Friday is such that Dua’s are answered and accepted (Bukhari, Muslim) (from my research it’s an hour in ‘Asr to MaghriB-)
Every afternoon, the heat of hell is increased. However, through the blessings of Jumu’ah, this will not be done on Fridays. (Ihyaa ul-Uloom)
The word “shaahid” refers to Friday. There is no day more virtuous than F
