Nope.

Lock the apps you want to keep to memory simple.

Please can you give me a clue on how I could lock them. Been looking for that as alternative too

Are you using battery saver?

Same MIUI 12 that an app closed for over 5 hours was still open.

No I'm not using. I've been using all these apps quite well with 11 only to update to 12 and just getting closed up within minutes. Is there a way downgrade
Phones / Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Abeos(m): 5:54pm On Nov 20, 2020
Seem to me the memory management of MIUI 12 is quite poor as I don't get why apps like VPN that stay on until I close them when minimized on 11 get to force close within 30-1hr on this update. Or is there a feature that's causing it?

Still faced this thing yesterday though usually the Hausa callers. They'll just call and start blabbing in their language without confirming it's the right person. Tell them wrong number yet they'll keep calling up to 3 times, had to block a female one completely when she didn't stop calling for days

When I saw him being dragged, I also wondered if he killed someone. A particular IG blog was even trying to silence him with pictures of his babymamas- can you beat that? I really do hate cheats, but I couldn’t find the correlation between his speech, the insults on his person and digging into his private life.

Anyway, it is the new trend on social media- they never take their time to process information. Here on NL, once the first few commenters post in one direction, it would take a really brave person to face another direction. Trust me, some know the noise wasn’t worth it, but they are scared of being e-lynched by our recent hyperactive online Martin Luthers. cheesy cheesy

This same is trending on Twitter. Immediately the favs have gone one direction people will be afraid to have conflicting opinions even when right for fear of being dragged

Fuckingmallam45:
These are the harsh realities of life

You will be alone most of the time. Not lonely, but alone. Try to understand the difference to avoid unnecessary suffering.

Happiness will not come easily as it came when you were young. You would have to work towards it. Discipline and sacrifice would be your best bet. Don't get caught in the YOLO gimmick.

Life will get boring. Your mind will wander. Learn to control it before it starts controlling you.
Your best friend might no longer be your best friend. Your ex would have already moved on. You will struggle. But it will imbue you with lots of wisdom. So don't curse yourself.

You'll realise in retrospect that very few people really loved you whilst others just wanted something out of you.

Memories are not always good. More than often, they induce unncecesary fear, anxiety and mood swings.

Time starts becoming the most valuable commodity. It will treat you like shit if you treat it cheaply.

Whether you like it or not, people will talk behind you. Sometimes it would be the people whom you trusted the most. Learn to ignore them.

You'll run down the guilt-valley more often than before. You will do things which you know is not good for you but will anyways end up doing it. You will invariably be distracted by foul things. This is your mind conquering your weak spot. Like I said, discipline can save you.

You'll realize that success is not that easy after all. It's that difficult. You would be tempted to give up on your dreams and live an average life. Don't.

Things will go wrong. Personally and professionally. The unexpected will happen. There won't be any reason/person to blame on. Your faith in humanity will plummet all of a sudden. But hey, don't give up. Move on.

You will soon start noticing your parents are getting old, your best friend is suffering from illness or money constrait. You realize how much time you've wasted playing the ego game. So don't wait. Make that phone call now.

Most of the times, you'll experience fear for no reason. When things are going good, you'll dread on ‘what if this happiness goes away?’. When things are not going good, you'll still dread on what's going to happen next.

You'll get your heart broken multiple times. And you'll have to break a couple of hearts yourself. That's life. There no right and wrong here.

There are no good people/bad people. You'll have to come out of this cynical mind-set. There are only people who bring you pleasantness and unplesantness. Remember, people who bring unplesantness to you might bring pleasantness to someone else.

You'll realize that multi-tasking is not beneficial. You start focusing on one big goal/day rather than 10 small goals/day. You'll learn to differentiate between being productive and being busy.

You'll learn that not all emotions you experience are genuine. More than half of them are mere mind-games. Learn to distinguish to avoid bouts of depression.

You'll be forced to change your attitude towards failures because you'll have more failures than success. You will no longer react to events, but will eventually respond to it. Reacting will get you into more trouble. Responding will move you towards a solution.

You'll realise that you can't be friends with everyone. And you don't have to be. Accept this fact sooner than later.

You'll realise that earning respect is more difficult than earning money. And it's the respect that would eventually make you feel proud about yourself in life.

How can I like this 100 times. Permission to share pls

As generous as this gesture may be, it is rather an exhibition of foolishness.

Such funds should have been donated to the likes of Bendel Insurance of Benin or Mighty Jets of Jos to prevent their extinction.

Nigerians are always good abroad and terrible at home.

I wonder who cursed Nigeria with such unpatriotic tendencies from its citizens.

Rubbish!

Why? He owes Wigan Athletic to part of his success and none of those you mentioned.

PDP isn't a serious opposition party because they're still pointing fingers when they should be at the forefront of criticizing this administration like it did to theirs. Anyways they know their skeletons in the cupboards will be opened if they try anything too sha. Nigeria might be in this circle for many years to come like this.

The level of ignorance on this platform is mind boggling. Many people are still yet to realize that this Conditional Cash Transfer has been ongoing since 2016 and it is not linked to COVID 19. The only link to COVID 19 is that govt decided to pay for four months. Those receiving these monies have been receiving it long ago. And the criteria for selection were spelt out to favor the poorest states in the country.

Going by this claim of yours, please explain why Ebonyi is completely left out of the list or which criteria did you say was used again?

He must also make sure he scores quite high too in post-utme if he choses FUTA because as at when i did mine then, even with my 290 from jamb i wasn't admitted because i scored 60 in the post-utme, i complained and was told only post-utme is considered regardless of your jamb score as long it's 200 above. I don't if that has changed though, this was in 2009.

Why we were fired?
I joined this company last year, few days after finishing my NYSC, they have the highest number of software developers in Africa and I was loving life, the salary is great with breakfast and lunch

They keep on employing so many software engineer with time the engineer become more than the available job, I saw it coming but I don't know what the board was thinking

2. How did the firing process happen?
We have a global (online) meeting which people are asked not to miss, I was not even listening very well to what they are saying, the president said there are more developer than engagement to they have to let some people go, a mail was sent to all impacted people and I discovered what has just happened

Almost 400 people has been fired across Africa

3. Aftermath of being fired… how did you feel, have you recovered, did you get something better?

The company is actually a great one, they brought in pychologist to speak with us, bring in different recruiter, and other stuff, most importantly the payoff was reasonable that I can afford a Mac laptop of almost half-a-million

Luckily for me I got another reasonable job in less than 3 weeks of been retrenched

I always laugh when people complain there is no job in Nigeria, less than 5 month after leaving my previous company I have turned down almost 4 other offers some even paying than my current one

Let me guess Andela cheesy

Some years ago, a man claimed he had cure HIV on national TV. Govt delegations visited him and what proof, that's according to the show and he couldn't provide it or wouldn't (maybe he was scared his invention might be stolen from him).

Today, the story is dead. The man, if he had invented the cure to HIV would be swimming in cash today. My point is, any inventor wouldn't want to send his inventions to another place to be tested when he isn't there and where the idea can be stolen.

Your discovery is as good as void if he can't be confirmed by an independent body. Same goes for many untested medical claims for some traditional treatment.
Health / Re: Discover Conoravirus Vaccine, Get N36m - FG To Scientists by Abeos(m): 5:44am On Feb 14, 2020
rottennaija:
That's misplaced priority. First of all, how will they test the efficacy of their discoveries? And how will they know it works unless the have an infected patients or the sample of the virus to test it with? How will they get the virus sample to test? You will end of having people who work for their selfish interest thereby working against the interests of the general public.

This is an unworkable solution.

Why not call for the assembly of the best scientist and biochemist in Nigeria, give them a good lap, feed them, provide 24 hrs electricity with the best electronic gadgets and laboratory equipments and have them work together towards having a solution to the virus?

Common, who advises these people self? They need better advisers.

You may be right about the assembly part but completely wrong with the statement unworkable solution. So if it's created in Nigeria it must only be tested in Nigeria? Samples of the vaccine/cure will simply be sent to countries in dire need of it to be tested
