My night was OK. I would recommend any hostel in Powerline area precisely Mentor or Zion hostels. I would also suggest Ayo Arike. hostel as it is not far from OAUCDL campus. Mentor hostel takes like 15 minutes of walk to campus gate. In fact, 15 minutes is too much. Most of us then, especially me, weren't always prepared for classes even while it was obvious that BCPites had one of the most convenient time-tables in CDL(By convenient I mean they always didn't have early lectures). As a result of our lazy or maybe sluggish attitude, we always ended up rushing to campus. We would barely use 10 minutes rushing there. Mentor hostel is also not too far to most of the places where predites go to read during the day and overnight e.g. Christ Elites, C.A.C., DLCF, RCF, and others.

Morning Bro. I don't think it's the norm there, I mean the first come first serve ish. I know barely little about the female hostels so I'm referring to male hostels oh. I paid late and I was still given mentor hostel which, to me, was very OK. Maybe you should state clearly what your hostel preferences are. As in, regarding the advantages you were referring to. Stay blessed.

It's true the fees are always somehow huge but I believe they're worth it (My opinion though). Now, regarding the students of Foreign Links (Foreign Linkers as they're normally called), they could get very nasty and hostile to predites. Honestly I don't know why but I think they're always jealous of the fact that they know predites are going to get admitted into a more prestigious university than their "Linkage university", as my LT C lecturer used to call it, and hence try to make their stay in Moro a regretful one or maybe because they feel intimidated by predites. Although, some of them also partake in the pre-degree programme, one needs to be very careful in dealing with them. Better still I would advise you steer clear of their paths. If you mind your own business and avoid returning to your hostel late at night (That's their favourite "operation" time), you'll have no problem by God's grace. I personally had no encounter with any of them.
Please ex-predites help me shed more light on this issue. Cheers!

Students can make payment of the prescribed fees either through eTranzact or Interswitch Webpay (using their ATM / Debit Card). Complete your online Registration and print your Hostel Slip. Log out and remember to keep your username and password very well. IMPORTANT NOTICE Deadline for Payment is 30th November, 2015. Your medical report forms must be submitted on resumption with the results of Medical tests carried out at a government hospital. Also, your Clinic Biodata and Hostel Oath Forms must be accurately filled and submitted on resumption. the things taught in pd classes are relevant and germane to what is being asked in the exam and of course the pUtme.. Pd gives you an edge over normal utme candidates because.. You av two ways of gaining admission unlike the p. Utme candidates who have jst one chance at it... Another advantage is that you are rest assured of ur admission once you meet the cut off mark, itz not a matter of connection (leg) I.e no one would tamper with ur slot... Another advantage is that you have more experience as touching the syllabus cos u av bn drilled... So the p. Utme in most cases becomes a walk over... Those r some of the advantages I can think of right now

Woooow! I'm impressed at the sudden boost in the thread. Let me first congratulate all those who have been admitted into the Pre-degree 2015/2016 session in OAUCDL, Moro. To those who weren't admitted probably because they didn't meet the cut off point for their desired subject combination, I won't say it's over yet. I would just advise such people to try all their best to visit OAUCDL, Moro at least before the working days run out this week. Please don't laugh oh. I'm serious. If you go there with a parent/guardian I can bet you would come out of OAUCDL with a positive result.
Well, I won't also forget to apologise for my all-too-sudden absence from the thread. In fact, I was totally absent from Nairaland itself. It wasn't my fault definately, but I must also commend everyone who are used to keeping the thread up and doing. Haha! I'm so surprised to meet the thread at page twenty-something or so.

Congrats to those who made the cutoff marks. For those who didn't,please build mountains from ur little hills(You didn't score zero,right?).Shed ur tears quickly and get over the worry on time.Jamb is by the corner for u also. We all have our stories, yours isn't the worse.

This is a wonderful write up and I am glad it came from an intending predite also!
It is just the truth that should be adhered to;if for nothing sake,for the sake of jamb which will come up by February(quite early).When pd resumes,just start preparing for your first test "Abeg"! Jamb preparation should start now(for the wise).
Take your entrance score to be a thing of the past.If at all you have to remember it;it should be when u want to know how much u would like to add to it in your pd final score to guarantee you ur course of choice,like +10 +20 +30 etc.
Case study: Two entrance scores " 57 and 81",both finished with 85.3. If those future doctors catch me ehn!
A friend who did GLR had 72 in entrance nd finished with <60...thank God for his jamb nd postjamb (He still made it for law,don't compare urself with others in pd.)
They(57 nd 81) weren't limited(57) or contended(81) by their entrance scores.
Bottom line: Abuhaneefah is very right! Don't overlook her words!
