Is your path plagued with tribulation, challenges and difficulties? then do this: Rejoice in hope; be patient in tribulation and continue instant in prayer and surely the God of peace shall bruise satan underneath your feet shortly (Rom 12:12, 16:20). |

I used to, until I saw the folly in it. God is helping me to stop it. I don't just yell, I will actually double-cross and force you to stop, in order to "talk senses into your head". But its all silly. I am trying to be calm these days. Not always successful....but surely better than before. |

Following intelligence reports that terrorist groups and gunmen, who have been killing innocent people and destroying property across the country use tinted glasses, Police spy number plates and sirens to deceive both security personnel and unsuspecting members of the public, Inspector General of Police, MD Abubakar has ordered a ban on indiscriminate use of these security items. Well...coming from a man who had successfully removed police men from the Nigerian roads, and has reduced the "N20" syndrome to a minimum, I think I want keep faith with this order as well. Remember that Ringim tried and failed....as he always does. 1 Like |

This is from the original poster.. The car presently uses a V4 engine that has grown weak. Is it now possible to replace it with a V6 engine? are there no complications in the future? What am I to look our for? Thank you for all the wonderful views. They have helped. |

I use a 2KVA Mercury Inverter. I need to replace my batteries. Pls where can i get good Tubular Batteries (preferably Exide batteries) to buy in Nigeria? Thank you |

I have heard many warnings about using a V6 engine, ranging from high cost of maintenance to non-durability. I am about changing the engine of my Toyota Camry 2002-2003 (big Daddy) and once again, my mechanic has warned that he prefers i get a V4, even though the price difference is alarming (N110,000 as against N320,000 of V4). What is really wrong with a V6 engine? have auto makers made a mistake by manufacturing it? Haba! |

@ poster...If you cant arrive at a decision immediately, pls quickly go and fix it in a good bank before it disappears! You can also google fund managers in Nigeria and explore those options. |

Meritgoal: @ poster my simple advice for you is just this! * Do not put all your eggs in a basket, you can buy a concrete mixer and give it out for rentage to building contractors ,0ne should be arround #220,000-#250,000 but you need to be sure of the availability of the users. You can actually make #10,000-#15,000 on a daily bases for the agreed period with the user. And you can take your time, to think of another good way of investing the remaining money. Good one. Simple, down to earth and genuine. Thank you. |

Is this proof that there is a prophet among us? Is this proof that God is still speaking to us, revealing Himself to us? Let's continue to pray for our protection, as the prophet advised. God bless Naija! Of Course we have a prophet amongst us...in fact prophets. God never leaves a generation without a prophet to warn them..but the question is what the prophet is saying ![]() |

The advert has been on the air for a while. I tried googling it and it led to a website (http://policebcmr.org/Home/AboutAutosBin) that is deficient of information. Does any one have an idea about this new development from our men in black? pls help and let's begin to do the right thing before the crowd becomes unbearable when they finally decide to set a deadline. Spyder, I join in commending your good work. I know it may be difficult to give a perfect figure, but kindly help with an estimate of cost of building a 5-bedroom duplex, in Ibadan, Oyo state. The house is expected to have the followings: 1. Boys Quarters 2. Security Post 3. Tastily furnished kitchen, with all accessories such as complete tiles, cupboards etc 4. Tastily furnished bathrooms with a. Bathubs, b. Jacuzzi in the master bedroom only c. water heaters d. beautiful toilet seats 5. Type of Aluminum roofing - Aluminum Metal 6. Type of ceiling - Plaster of Paris for the major living (downstairs), the family lounge and the master bedroom. any good one (not asbestos) for all other places. 7. A good Fence with steel vehicle and pedestrian gates 8. Tasty tiles for the living room, the family lounge, all the bedrooms and corridors leading to the living room. 9. I strongly desire to use bricks (Hydraform) in the place of the conventional blocks used in Nigeria, excluding the perimeter fence though. Give me your sincere and professional judgement on that. 10.Standard up-to-date electrical with modern electrical kits and fittings My thinking is this: I will have 2 bedrooms downstairs and 3 bedrooms upstairs. when am able to complete the downstairs, i will move in and continue with the upper part. This means that there will be an external staircase leading to the upper section of the building. Also note that the Family lounge should not be too small. It should be the size of a conventional 3-bedroom flat. Thank you. |

logicboy: This argument about the existence of God. I ve decided to post the argument here... Read on... Interesting conversation. Enjoy!!! An Atheist Professor of Philosophy was speaking to his Class on the Problem Science has with GOD, the ALMIGHTY. He asked one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .. Professor : You are a Christian, aren't you, son ? Student : Yes, sir. Professor : So, you Believe in GOD ? Student : Absolutely, sir. Professor : Is GOD Good ? Student : Sure. Professor : Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ? Student : Yes. Professor : My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn't. How is this GOD good then? Hmm? (Student was silent ) Professor : You can't answer, can you ? Let's start again, Young Fella. Is GOD Good? Student : Yes. Professor : Is Satan good ? Student : No. Professor : Where does Satan come from ? Student : From . . . GOD . . . Professor : That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this World? Student : Yes. Professor : Evil is everywhere, isn't it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct? Student : Yes. Professor : So who created evil ? (Student did not answer) Professor : Is there Sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they? Student : Yes, sir. Professor : So, who Created them ? (Student had no answer) Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you. Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD? Student : No, sir. Professor : Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD? Student : No , sir. Professor : Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD? Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter? Student : No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't. Professor : Yet you still Believe in HIM? Student : Yes. Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son? Student : Nothing. I only have my Faith. Professor : Yes,Faith. And that is the Problem Science has. Student : Professor, is there such a thing as Heat? Professor : Yes. Student : And is there such a thing as Cold? Professor : Yes. Student : No, sir. There isn't. (The Lecture Theatre became very quiet with this turn of events ) Student : Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat, a Little Heat or No Heat. But we don't have anything called Cold. We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as Cold. Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat. We cannot Measure Cold. Heat is Energy. Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it. (There was Pin-Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre ) Student : What about Darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as Darkness? Professor : Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness? Student : You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the Absence of Something You can have Low Light, Normal Light, Bright Light, Flashing Light . . . But if you have No Light constantly, you have nothing and its called Darkness, isn't it? In reality, Darkness isn't. If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you? Professor : So what is the point you are making, Young Man ? Student : Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is flawed. Professor : Flawed ? Can you explain how? Student : Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality. You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD. You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought. It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing. Death is Not the Opposite of Life: just the Absence of it Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your Students that they evolved from a Monkey? Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do. Student : Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir? (The Professor shook his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument was going ) Student : Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and Cannot even prove that this Process is an On-Going Endeavor. Are you not teaching your Opinion, sir? Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher? (The Class was in Uproar ) Student : Is there anyone in the Class who has ever seen the Professor's Brain? (The Class broke out into Laughter ) Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, touched or Smelt it? . . . No one appears to have done so. So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that You have No Brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir? (The Room was Silent. The Professor stared at the Student, his face unfathomable) Professor : I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son. Student : That is it sir . . . Exactly ! The Link between Man & GOD is FAITH. That is all that Keeps Things Alive and Moving. NB: I believe you have enjoyed the Conversation . . . and if so . . . You'll probably want your Friends / Colleagues to enjoy the same . . . won't you? Forward them to Increase their Knowledge . . . or FAITH. Though I doubt and I am not able to verify that the student was Albert Einstein. 1 Like |

Thank you for that great piece. It is amazing that this prejudice and misconception is from the so-called educated elite from the south. The Igbos are well travelled and hardly go about with such misconceptions. |

Avicenna: I am a regular poster in other threads except religion. I have followed most threads here without ever commenting. I must say,I came here confused and ignorant about my former religion-Islam. But Nairaland religious section opened my eyes. I searched, researched and after deep reflections, I concluded that all religions are fraudulent and the notion of a almighty God is flawed and won't hold up to rigorous scrutiny. God does not need Nairaland or any social media or even outstanding miracles to convince the Atheist. His simple creation, the one we see everyday convinced him already. If he chooses to be dishonest about...well fine. God gave you a freewill anyway. Stay blessed. |
