Agriculture / AFAN Announces Partnership Developments With TINGO Mobile by Afro3: 7:40am On Jun 10, 2023 |
AFAN Announces Partnership Developments with TINGO Mobile The All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) is pleased to announce a noteworthy progression in its lease and service agreement with Tingo Mobile Limited, a significant provider of mobile and fintech solutions in Nigeria. As of today, AFAN reports that an estimated 11 million of its members have adopted Tingo Mobile's smartphone and fintech applications, including the Nwassa platform, as part of their daily operations. This update signifies a considerable stride in AFAN's goal, established on December 14, 2022, to provide its members with access to advanced mobile technology and financial services. In addition, some members have started making their produce available for processing to Tingo Foods Plc, an affiliate of Tingo Mobile. This development is a modest but promising step in AFAN's partnership with the Tingo Group. Dr Farouk Rabiu Mudi, National President of AFAN, comments: "We are encouraged by the progress we have seen through our partnership with Tingo Mobile. The use of digital technology among our members is growing, and some of our farmers have started to engage with Tingo Foods Plc. We remain hopeful for more growth and improved utilisation of the products and services offered by Tingo and its group of companies." This collaboration underscores AFAN's dedication to modernising agricultural practices and ensuring its members are given the necessary tools to adapt in a rapidly evolving digital landscape. Politics / Senate Presidency: Akpabio Not Our Preferred Choice — Niger Delta Group by Afro3: 8:21am On Jun 02, 2023 |
Senate Presidency: Niger Delta Group Rejects Akpabio, Backs Yari https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYWMskV9I5k A group which prides itself as the mother body of all concerned Niger Delta stakeholders, the Coalition of Concerned Niger Delta stakeholders has denied endorsing the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio for the position of the Senate President of the 10th Senate. The group says it seriously kicks against the APC's choice of backing Akpabio as the preferred candidate for office of the President of the 10th Senate. Speaking at a press conference on the state of the nation in Abuja, the president of the group, Odiedim Amachree says the antecedents of Akpabio leave much to be desired, saying the former minister of Niger Delta is not fit to occupy the position. The group instead endorsed the former Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari who it says is eminently qualified to be the president of the 10th National Assembly. "Abdulaziz Yari wields the magic wand and indeed remains the one to beat in our view and considered opinion. "He is a lover of this nation, a fulfilled politician, a man that can be trusted. We therefore believe the Senators should be allowed to choose their leadership without any external influence whatsoever", he stated. Also speaking, a youth stakeholder of the group Nwisabari Bani said the tenth National Assembly needs a pragmatic leadership that will create a synergy for the executive to deliver in its mandate. According to him, Yari represents that candidate who will speak truth to power and ensure that all Nigerians enjoy the dividends of democracy. It called on members of the Senate to reject Akpabio and vote Yari as their president. 1 Like 1 Share

Politics / Presidency: Group Urges Accord Party's Prof. Imumolen To Step Down For Tinubu by Afro3: 5:37pm On Feb 21, 2023 |
AN APPEAL FROM THE COALITION OF YOUTH AND STUDENT SOCIETIES IN NIGERIA URGING PROFESSOR CHRISTOPHER IMUMOLEN, ACCORD PARTY'S PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE, TO STEP DOWN FOR ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU Special greetings to you, Your Excellency. The coalition of Youth and Student groups in Nigeria, after due consultations and counsel, wish to convey our regards and honour to you. Sir, we have keenly followed your well placed aspirations of seeking to become Nigeria's next president, and we must admit that we admire your vision and courage in wanting to change the old narrative of uninspiring leadership that has since frustrated our country's genuine desire to fulfill it's much vaunted potentials. We salute the astuteness, bravery and altruism that has gone into this much expressed vision, and are even more convinced that you will be of immense value to the country and the generality of it's long-suffering citizens if you indeed actualise your ambition of climbing an office as exalted as the one you earnestly seek. Since what you seek is one of a selfless nature that is targeted at ushering in a leadership that will rekindle hope and engender mutual understanding and cooperation for a better and progressive Nigeria, we are constrained to make a demand on you that we know aligns with this very objective. That is why we would, in the light of the foregoing, recommend that you join forces with equally progressive minds like yourself for the common good, particularly for the objective of winning the upcoming presidential elections scheduled for a week hence. Simply put, we wish to humbly recommend to you that you kindly step down for His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to increase his chances of winning the February 25, 2023 presidential elections. His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a father that is a visioner, mentor and pragmatic leader. The man that is capable to not only unite and offer this country leadership that all Nigerians would be proud of, but who has the political machinery, sagacity and experience to deliver the goods as far as democratic dividends is concerned. As the only youth in the presidential race, with a growing support base, you are an asset that can prove invaluable to the genuine quest of Tinubu, a man that has done a lot to advance the country's democratic experience since the advent of the 4th Republic in 1999. It is in the realisation of this that we wish to plead to your conscience to support the candidacy of Ahmed Asiwaju Tinubu for the following reasons: 1. Without doubt, by your emergence as the country's youngest ever presidential candidate on the platform of the Accord party alone, you made history as no youth in the annals of the country's democratic experience ever achieved the feat. And coming into the race loaded with a track record in academics, having established 3 universities in 3 different continents of the world, and with a CV detailing how a lot of youths have been blessed with educational scholarships, we cannot help but be profuse with praises for you on such remarkable feats at such a young age. We the youth community are so proud of your philanthropic works that has uplifted millions of the underprivileged whose lives have been given a meaning in different ways. This is the more reason we are convinced that aligning with a Tinubu-led APC will not only boost your chances of reaching that goal of using the instrumentality of the presidency to reach a larger segment of society, but to increase your chances of helping to form the next government in the event of a Tinubu victory. However, considering the machinery needed to win a typical presidential election in Nigeria, the Accord party of present is sadly ill-equipped to mobilise the needed wherewithal in terms of logistics, funding and the support base required to see it to it's logical conclusion. We understand, as a body, that you have virtually exhausted yourself, prosecuting your campaigns without any external funding and this is a burden we are reluctant to further allow you to carry. 2. As a christian candidate, we strongly believe stepping down for Asiwaju will equally have the interest of the Christian community protected. Peter Obi (of the Labour Party) who is also a christian candidate does not have the spread and financial capability to win the election, sadly said. 3. Being a candidate from the south, it is pertinent that you look into supporting a southern candidate which Asiwaju represents. 4. We have clearly analysed the chances of your party, Accord, and looking at it's strengths in states like Oyo, Rivers, Benue, Akwa Ibom, Zamfara, Lagos, Abia, FCT, Plateau, Edo and Gombe, it is very likely that it will finish 3rd or 4th at the end of the day. But, we are convinced Accord will achieve more if your votes in those aforementioned states go to Tinubu to enhance his chances of winning, as well guarantee your political future. 5. The benefits of what we see as a 'smart' political move, rather than an easy capitulation or selling of one's conscience is that it is a win-win situation for both you, Accord, Tinubu and APC. Asiwaju is a man who keeps to his word. It is, therefore, believed that your collaboration with him will fetch you an opportunity to serve Nigeria in another capacity, thereby helping you build on the gains you have made during this first experience on the country's political turf, as well as present yourself ahead of the future where you can re-launch and surely become the president that Nigeria desires in the not too distant future. Your Excellency, kindly consider this request so we can write to Asiwaju (who we are sure will wholeheartedly welcome such massive boost in his presidential bid), that the only youth presidential candidate, a strong, emerging force will be joining forces with him to win and serve Nigeria together. Music/Radio / A New Dawn: Just Sonnie (Music Video) by Afro3: 7:58pm On Feb 20, 2023 |
A New Dawn: Nigerian Artist Just Sonnie Releases Thought Provoking Video Song Ahead Of General Elections https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJaZO1tcuDw Nigerian music artist, Just Sonnie has released a new video song titled "A New Dawn" ahead of Nigerian general elections slated to commence Feb. 25, 2023. The song which has continued to garner viewership on YouTube raises the consciousness of the masses on the need to open a fresh page and a path of new history for the country. Nigeria has in recent times been battered by plethora of social challenges, including insecurity which has seen bandits and terrorists kidnap people for ransom, economic downturn in which millions of people are said to be suffering from multi-dimensional poverty, shortage of infrastructure, particularly electricity and motorable roads as well as official corruption. Most recently, the country has been engulfed in series of protests as a result of Naira notes crunch, a situation that has exacerbated the poverty in the land, making several families unable to access their money, as the scarcity of the new Naira notes lingers in the country. Just Sonnie in his new song says the Feb. 25 National Assembly and presidential elections present a new dawn for our country to re-write the chequered history. He told our correspondent, "This is a clarion call to Nigerians, especially the youths, to make sensible choices in the coming elections, bearing in mind that bad choices will mortgage their future to slavery and suffering. No considerations of religion and ethnicity or vote-buying inducements should make them trade their future through bad choices".

Business / *TINGO AIRLINES: Dozy Mmobuosi, CEO And Founder Of Tingo, Inc. Issues Statement: by Afro3: 9:19pm On Feb 07, 2023 |
*TINGO AIRLINES: Dozy Mmobuosi, CEO and Founder of Tingo, Inc. issues statement:* Mr. Dozy Mmobuosi has long held ambitions to make investments in the aviation sector driven by his belief that the aviation sector in Africa requires investment to develop and meet the demand of a rapidly expanding population. In 2019, he established Tingo Airlines Ltd (UK) with the goal of acquiring a license and operating flights between Europe and Africa. However, due to the outbreak of Covid-19 in early 2020, Mr. Mmobuosi redirected resources towards Tingo Mobile to develop Nwassa and Tingo Pay. Tingo Airlines Ltd (UK) is in the process of being dissolved. Following the disruption to the global aviation sector Mr. Mmobuosi and Omni-Blu Aviation Limited, a fast-growing airline incorporated in Nigeria to provide regular, customised, and specialised air transportation services, entered into a Joint Venture and Mutual Cooperation Agreement (JVMC) in 2020. They incorporated in Nigeria, a Joint Venture Company (JVCo) called Omni-Tingo Aviation Services Limited as the commercial vehicle through which their mutual aspirations would be administered. The JVMC flights are to be operated under Omni-Blu Aviation licences [the technical partners under the JVCo] with Mr. Mmobuosi's Family Office providing the requisite funding resources for aircraft leasing and acquisitions towards their common objective. Whilst the Coronavirus (Covid 19) years of 2020 and 2021 slowed down the pace for their full launch, the Omni-Tingo JVCo have made significant progress since it resumed its project implementation plan; having completed the purchase of a Sirkosky S-76C++ Helicopter in November 2022: and currently completing a transaction for the purchase of a Challenger 605 Business Jet in the USA. The JVCo is also currently in active negotiations for the lease of several regional jets to commence domestic and regional flight operations in Nigeria and across the region. Politics / Imumolen Debunks Claims He Is Working For A Tinubu Presidency by Afro3: 9:05am On Jan 13, 2023 |
Imumolen debunks claims he is working for a Tinubu presidency Accord party's presidential candidate, Professor Christopher Imumolen has debunked claims that he is secretly working for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become Nigeria's next president in the upcoming general elections. Professor Imumolen who vehemently denied the claims while fielding questions during a talkshow anchored by @JJ Omojuwa on Twitter early this week said that rumours of his so-called work for Tinubu was being peddled by persons who hardly knew him, insisting that he was nobody's stooge. The country's youngest presidential candidate expressed regret that despite the introduction of a new era which opened the door to an unprecedented upsurge of youth particicipation in politics as empowered by the Not Too Young To Run bill signed into law by outgoing president Muhammadu Buhari, many Nigerians, particularly the young ones do not believe that a leader of youth extraction can actually come from amongst them. He blamed such mindset on a system that had succeeded, over the years, in brainwashing youths to think they can never be good enough to reach the pre-eminent heights of the presidency or political success of any kind. He likened the thinking which manipulated them to think small to the proverbial elephant, tied to a spot with a small rope at infant, that could still not to shake itself free of it's perpetual stagnation despite growing big enough at adulthood to do so. "I have heard talk in some quarters accusing me of secretly working for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become president so that he can appoint me as a minister," Professor Imumolen said. "I consider such statements quite unfortunate, particularly considering the fact that most of it is coming from the youths at whose instance I have come out of my comfort zone as a successful, private citizen to join the race for the country's presidency. "Well, should I really blame those who say these things? I just believe years of neglect, unemployment, economic hardships and lack of political opportunities has so affected their mentality to the extent of thinking it is not possible for a young man to become president. "But it is all in their minds. We have had young people who have had the opportunity to rule this country at very young ages. "Chief Olusegun Obasanjo revealed in a recent letter endorsing a particular presidential candidate that he was 39 years old when he first became Nigeria's military head of state in 1976. "General Yakubu Gowon before him was 32 years old when he assumed the mantle of the country's leadership. Infact, he was a bachelor when he was enthroned. He married after he became head of state. "What of four of my co-aspirants in the ongoing race for the presidency -- Abubakar Atiku, Bola Tinubu, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso? "They were in their 40s when they reached the peak of their careers in public office -- some as governors and one (Atiku) as a retired Customs Deputy Comptroller General in 1986. "So, it amounts to a defeated mentality for the youths of today to think that a young person like me can't see through a presidency race. "That I was going to step down and endorse a fellow candidate at some point because according to them, we are only good enough to play second fiddle. "For the avoidance of doubts, I joined the race for the country's presidency because I was genuinely convinced I had a chance to win and become the instrument of genuine change for a country that has been quite unfortunate with the kind of leadership she has had for decades. "I didn't join the race to withdraw and endorse another candidate for the proverbial pot of porridge. "I, Professor Christopher Imumolen has enough fuel in my tank to run this race and see it to it's logical conclusion. I have never met Tinubu, and I don't have any secret pact with him or anyone else, for that matter, to step down for anything, least of all, a ministerial position. "Those who have been hasty to lump me with youths who have acted without integrity in the past would only be fair if they can spare some time to check my background and read up my achievements in the area of empowering humanity through various channels in my private capacity over the last couple of years. "I am in the race for the country's presidency to demonstrate, as well as destroy forever age-long stereotypes which relegates Nigerian youths to the background. "I want to be the agent of genuine change that will galvanise our youths and instil in them a new mindset that anything is possible for those who dream and think big," he said. 2 Likes

I'll make Tinubu special envoy, Obi trade minister if I become Nigeria's president -- Accord party's candidate, Prof Imumolen Accord party's presidential candidate, Professor Christopher Imumolen says he would adopt the principle of all-inclusiveness in selecting his cabinet if he becomes the country's president in next month's eagerly awaited general elections. According to him, the task of rebuilding a nation like Nigeria, battered by years of poor leadership and corruption, needed the inputs of all Nigerians, including those of his co-aspirants like Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Peter Obi now also vying for the coveted office of president. In his attempt to build an economically sound country where every Nigerian would feel loved and wanted, he says he would solicit the help of the best brains in whatever fields of human endeavour to come and contribute their quota. "The task of rebuilding our country is an onerous one. It is not going to be a one-man show. Every one who has the idea, capacity to add value to governance, no matter their background or party affiliations, shall be called upon to do so," Professor Imumolen said on Sunday. "For his adeptness and aptitude as a business man of no mean standing, I will be appointing Peter Obi, the current Labour Party presidential candidate as my minister of trade and commerce, while Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu will serve as Nigeria's special envoy to the United Nations. "Tinubu it is who will coordinate, as well as help to enhance the coherence of the collective work of the UN on behalf of Nigeria in the West Africa sub-region. "Tinubu's wealth of experience in administration, mentoring and his understanding of Nigerian politics will stand him in good stead as the country's representative in the UN on matters political, economic and international. "You will agree with me that these men will most be suitable in the roles I have earlier mentioned because of their track records in both their private and public lives. "As I have said, the move is meant to demonstrate that we are all partners in progress in our desire to see our country regain it's lost glory, as well as deliver to it's millions of citizens the true dividends of democracy. "The move will also send the message that appointments will only be given to those who merit it in the kind of reformist government we are planning to run. "The concept of square pegs in square holes shall be the guiding principles of our government under the umbrella of Accord -- the party that preaches oneness and togetherness," he said. 17 Likes 2 Shares

Politics / Nigeria Can Repeat The Sunak & Macron Examples By Electing A Young President by Afro3: 7:25pm On Dec 26, 2022 |
Nigeria can repeat the Rishi Sunak and Emmanuel Macron examples by electing a young president -- Accord candidate, Prof. Imumolen Nigeria can jump on the bandwagon of the ongoing global fad in which a new generation of leaders are taking over the reins of power in many countries of the world by electing a president of youth extraction in next year's general elections. The recent emergence of 42-year old Rishi Sunak as Britain's Prime Minister, exactly five years after France did the same in electing Emmanuel Macron as president, has supported the growing belief that youth is the way to go in a world now fast jettisoning the old order. Accord presidential candidate, Professor Christopher Imumolen, a youth who is gunning for Nigeria's highest office in next year's presidential elections, says a better signal could not have been sent as to the direction the world is now heading with the latest developments in Britain and France, insisting that it only further reinforced the position he'd often held on the matter. "Those who have had me talk ceaselessly about the benefits of allowing a young person take the reins of power as Nigeria's president have often wondered why I have been so passionate," Professor Imumolen said on Tuesday. "But the truth is that we need a new generation of youthful leaders who would be ready to give their all for the overall betterment of this country. "The emergence of Rishi Sunak as Britain's Prime Minister is a significant message to the countries of the world, particularly Nigeria that the era of relegating the youth in the general scheme of things is over. "If countries like France where Emmanuel Macron has been president since 2017, and Britain with all their experience and technological know-how, can entrust the affairs of their countries in the hands of young, upwardly mobile professionals, then I don't see why we should be different. "For those who don't know, Macron became president at the age of 39 -- the same age with me -- and has since become the only individual in French history since two decades to win a second term in office after being re-elected in April this year. "What about Rishi Sunak? He is only 42 and the first person of colour to hold the office of Prime Minister, Britain. These examples clearly buttresses my often held beliefs that we must go the way of the youth if we desire a refreshing change from a chequered past of underachievement as a country. "So, I'd use this opportunity to once again urge Nigerians to vote me, a youth who is vibrant, mentally sound, healthy and ready to change the status quo and deliver to them the true dividends of democracy. "I want them to check my profile and make up their minds as we all journey towards 2023. Let's do it the French and British way. Let's vote for youth. Let's vote Professor Christopher Imumolen as Nigeria's next president," he added. 13 Likes 2 Shares

Politics / The Hidden Treasures Nigerians Are Yet To Discover About Imumolen And His Quest by Afro3: 7:36pm On Dec 25, 2022 |
The hidden treasures Nigerians are yet to discover about Imumolen and his quest for presidency He speaks of his country and the welfare of it's people with a passion reminiscent of the Martin Luther King Jr. civil rights movement in America in the 60s. King fought for the liberation of the blacks from the oppression of racism, segregation and inequality that was quite rampant in that era. He mobilised his fellow blacks and awakened in them a new consciousness of pride and self-discovery that ultimately gave impetus to the struggle for freedom from all forms of prejudices. Needless to say that he got the white supremacists of that generation to listen to what he had to say. And what he had to say ultimately had a significant impact on the outcome of his concerted fight to rid the black American population of the toga of second class citizens. King did one more thing. He ensured that African Americans earned the same respect, rights and privileges that their fellow white countrymen and women were accorded. Today, King -- cut down in his prime by assassin's bullets for his seeming audacity -- rests in his grave, supremely satisfied that he achieved exactly his mandate of rescuing his people from the oppression of being discriminated against solely on the basis of the colour of their skin. His labour of love would eventually pave the way for a succession of great black achievers like Andrew Young, Jesse Jackson, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jackson, Tiger Woods, Barack Obama, Eddie Murphy, Sammy Davis Jr., to mention but a few, who have continued to demonstrate that skin colour is insignificant where natural endowments is the yardstick. King's passion has since found expression in different forms and in different climes decades after. A Nelson Mandela going to jail for 27 years just to make the point that racism and segregation has no place in human equation is one copious example. That Mandela finally succeeded in dislodging the apartheid system in South Africa, and ended up restoring his people to their former pride of place in the power equation in that country was a testimony that good ultimately triumphs over evil. The Martin Luther King Jr. legacy of quiet revolution continues to inspire many everywhere. In Nigeria, a young man who goes by the name Professor Christopher Imumolen appears to have caught the Martin Luther King Jr. bug. He is fighting a different kind of fight. He is fighting to liberate the Nigerian people from the oppression of inept and corrupt leadership. He is fighting to restore the country to it's former enviable position as the giant of Africa and the pride of the black race. He is fighting to end years of endemic and instutionalised corruption that keeps frustrating the country's efforts at achieving greatness. He is fighting to win back the loyalty of Nigerians who have since lost hope in the face of uninspiring leadership at all levels of government. He is fighting to restore the lost values and virtues that used to define the uniqueness of the Nigerian as a go-getter and an achiever anywhere he finds himself. He is fighting to bring back the country's lost glory in all aspects of human endeavour. Just like King and Mandela before him, Professor Imumolen knows he is on a long road. But he says he is determined to give all it takes to succeed. He is campaigning with 17 other candidates who are flagbearers of other political parties, all vying for the position of Nigeria's president come 2023. He is contesting with some persons who can be described as political heavyweights on the Nigerian political space for the country's most exalted political office but he obviously doesn't look intimidated because, according to him, "I have what it takes to be Nigeria's next president. If I didn't believe I could do the job, I won't apply for it," he says confidently. Now, he may be very well educated, having acquired two Ph.D degrees in separate disciplines. He may own three universities in three different continents of the world. He may have, and still continue to give much of himself to philanthropic endeavours which ensures that millions of Nigerians are empowered to live useful and result-oriented lives. But what probably stands Professor Imumolen out as the candidate with the best credentials to be Nigeria's president is the passion and value he brings to initiating and executing programmes and schemes tailored towards assisting and uplifting the quality of lives of the average Nigerian. Those who know him say he has given more in the area of humanitarian gestures, in his private capacity, than all his co-aspirants combined. They argue that a man who hasn't been opportuned to serve in government in any capacity, and who gives from monies made from the sweat of his brows, is valued and respected more than those who give from monies made while serving in government. A man who has used his personal resources to better the lives of Nigerians, irrespective of their tribe, religion and location is a true Nigerian that deserves to be Nigeria's president, they also say. They further say that a man who can give N2million each to help over 500,000 students in Nigeria fulfill their dreams of university education is a man who deserves to be at the level of Nigeria's presidency where he can make policies that would even improve our educational system. They also add that a man who can use his personal resources to fund the construction of feeder roads, build boreholes and electrify whole communities in Nigeria is one who merits being entrusted with the high office of president where he can do more to touch the larger spectrum of society on a massive scale. These, and more, essentially defines the man called Professor Christopher Irene Imumolen. He may not be as heralded as an Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, an Abubakar Atiku, a Peter Obi or Rabiu Kwankwaso -- men that Nigerians believe, rightly or wrongly, are more qualified to be Nigeria's president. But beyond the hype which seem to follow them every step of the way on account of their previous stints in office at different levels, Professor Imumolen is man who stands heads and shoulders above them when it comes to offering something new this time around. Professor Imumolen offers a breath of fresh air, a different alternative to what Nigerians have always known and experienced. Add this to the fact that he is younger, more educated and more versed in the way the modern world conducts the business of government and you'd agree he has more to offer than the motley crowd of opponents he is up against. These are the qualities Nigerians must diligently seek and identify with if they want to avoid the mistakes of the past in terms of the choices they made. 5 Likes

Politics / I Have What It Takes To Succeed Buhari As Nigeria's President - Prof Imumolen by Afro3: 3:47pm On Dec 20, 2022 |
I have what it takes to succeed Buhari as Nigeria's president -- Accord party's candidate, Prof Imumolen Accord party's presidential candidate, Professor Christopher Imumolen is in no doubt he has what it takes to become Nigeria's next president. The country's youngest presidential candidate strongly believes he can rescue Nigeria from it's current free fall into ignominy and return her to the path of sustainable growth if he gets the mandate of the people in next year's general elections. The renowned scholar and entrepreneur feels he can conveniently take over the reins of government from outgoing president, Muhammadu Buhari next year because he is not only qualified, but competent to do the job. "I think I am good enough to succeed Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria's next president because I am qualified and competent to do the job," Professor Imumolen said during a Television Continental (TVC) interview early this week. "My track record in over 15 years of private and public life speaks of service to humanity in form of concrete efforts and personal sacrifices made to better the lot of the oppressed, downtrodden and underprivileged in Nigeria. "That essential ingredient of wanting to positively affect humanity through service, more in deeds than in mere words, is what stands me head and shoulders above my co-aspirants in the race for the country's topmost job come 2023. "Contrary to what some uninformed persons say, I am not a neophyte nor a first-timer in rendering altruistic services to mankind, using my God-given endowments and resources. "I have deliberately built an impressive profile of social entrepreneurship that has won me recognitions from far and near, politics or not. "Upon that platform of service is what I am standing to offer myself to Nigerians as the clock ticks inexorably towards what appears a destiny-defining general elections in just over 70 days from now. "And as I have said already in different forums before now, I am that breath of fresh air that Nigeria needs at this material time in our history. "My candidacy presents to Nigerians that unique opportunity to vote freshness and newness to replace what has been a thick cloud of stagnation and retrogression that has hovered around us as nation for too long," he said. 8 Likes 2 Shares
