patches689: Direct your comment to MikeZAR, he is the one making mischief about fitting missiles on the P18N, everybody was discussing the matter peacefully to share knowledge until MikeZAR brought in the manners of the other thread....and you too copued his statement few minutes after. Go backwards and read his provocative posts and yours that copied his words. I could retaliate by hitting back on the Rooivalk sales he is trying to promote here using Congo DRC, but I decided not to do so because I don't think we need many imbéciles here, one is enough. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

MikeCZAR: Is that the topic or subject of the discussion? The answer is NO, everydody already knows the status of the ship and we are all talking about if there is need to fit with in future. Stop trying to bring wounds from the other thread to this place and use your brain to understand the subject of other people's discussion before you jump in, use your brain even if its not that efficiently functional, just try use it, half bread is better than none my dear friend. |

patches689: Orange or red is marine colour code for search and rescue, the boats are deliberately bright coloured to make them clearly visible in peacetime maritme role, the people in distress at sea need to clearly see and signal by waving hand and screaming voice to attract attention of incoming rescue boat that is searching for the victims including near drowning men struggling to float in stormy sea. Most likely Nigeria wont have conventional war at sea in the next 10 years or more, that threat is zero for now, but only God can predict tomorrow 100% correctly. NNS Unity, second P18N

[s] patches689:[/s] Ask SANDF soldier or special force to raise a leg high in the air like a kick and see how testicles will break up an leak like damaged eggs. Your country has an HIV damaged army of weaklings, Ugandan soldiers will bëat the hëll out of South Afrcan soldiers. FACT !! |

[s] patches689:[/s] Total rubbish post, SANDF has NO anti-missile capability today and Starstreak is a weak MANPAD with only maximum 1km ceiling, Ugandan air force will fly at 2km to 5km and rocket bläst SANDF into tiny roasted pieces. 2 Shares

patches689: The truth is that if any South African soldier or special forces tries to raise up his leg and kick the head of an opponenet like the Ugandan soldiers do, the SANDF soldiers HIV weakened testicles will fall out of their natural containers and break like eggs. |

patches689: Your huge defence budget is used to pay for soldiers' expensive HIV treatment drugs. SANDF soldiers list includes 30 battalions of useless troops already HIV ruined. Uganda's budget for buying 6 Su-30 Flanker jets with anti-radiation missiles and 1,000 Kornet ATGM, etc is about $750 million. Ugandan jets will use long range ARM/ASM missiles to knock out all SANDF radars including your Gripen if they dare to fly, afer that they will wrëck all SANDF artillery and tanks/IFVs using L-39 jets and Mi-35 helicopters, then they will Rāpe the entire South Africa from the air and on ground.....till mama Soweto bleeds to death . |

MikeCZAR: Go watch 10th to 20th seconds time point on the Chinese promo video of P18N and see the oil spill control tanks, position called amidships if you dont know marine tech. Thats where the Type 056 AShM are installed. P18N now named NNS Centenary is modular and convertible from gun OPV to missile light frigate/corvette. Ask questions when you dont know things, dont be ashamed to ask, I won't laugh at you for asking to be taught what is beyond your level of knowledge, I am your friend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuUeO0NhMhg 2 Likes |

Henry240: Your photo shows NNS Aradu anchored close to the dry dock and refitted ships. She is likely close to her turn for refit. For NN 2016-2030, I would suggest. 1. Refitted, slightly modernized-upgraded, fully reloaded and armed as missile frigate NNS Aradu $80 million maximum cost for 15 years life span, or else brand new P18N missile armed light frigate $120 million for 30 year life span. 2. One second hand Type 039 Song Class submarine from China $120 million for 20 year life span. Total cost $200 to $250 million for conventional warfare fleet 2016-2030. Economic reality. The other acquisitions for the next 15 years will be OPV, MPV, IPV, logistics support/supply ships, auxillary ships, long range patrol/SAR/Interceptor and insertion helicopters AW 139 and long range cheap Niger Delta patrol Super Mushashak turboprop aircraft. However, the navy has officially decided 2016 : 1. Potential NNS Aradu refit 2. Refit of about ten old vessels of approx 58m sizes. 2. Four brand new missile patrol boats, two units each of 24m and 35m guided missile armed fast attack crafts. Approx total cost $120 million. Paid for. 3. One brand new Landing Ship Tank, budgeted for. 4. One brand new Survey vessel, budgeted for. (Nigeria's 'EEZ' limit about to be expanded by UN, need to do new territory survey and draw new national hydrological map) 5. 100 IPVs. All paid for. 6. Wants eight long range patrol helicopters, funds not yet granted .
