understand what you are saying perfectly and that is the Holy truth. We can shout and point fingers at the Government all we want. The region needs a revolution against its on leaders. Primarily the Chiefs and Governors and administrators at LG levels. The money that goes into some of the communities is unthinkable. I have a first person experience. It never get used for its purpose or simply dropped in someone's account.

The people of the region need to come up with one voice, come out of regional politics and make their leaders accountable.
wake up, no one is interested in peanuts. Do you know TY Danjuma's worth? How the hell is he the owner of an oil block situated thousands of miles from his village without the consent of the indigenous owners of the land? Things are about to be done differently

Simple diplomacy would hav averted all dese!

When jonathan won elections,he not only brought evrybody together as a father,...he went ahead and started favouring the north in almost evth. Wich eventually earned him a v unenviable spot among his kinsmen, for favoring the north to their detriment! Personally I think he over did it!

Buhari won elections and on his first visit 2 usa,he told the world how he has segregated the nation to 5% and 97%. And not only mouthing this, all his actions started reflecting it immediately,..from appointing only core northeners in2 positions tht matter,to terminating contracts and programmes put in place 4 the nigerdeltans (whose region lay the golden eggs of our collective survival) by previous governments etc,...

Imagine if buhari had not terminated all dese, including projects like the maritime institute,..and instead started some mega projects in the region,..I can imagine the kind of peace and support he would hav by now be gettin from dere. As am sure southerners are not like core northerners that once they hate u,no matter how much things u do 4 dem,dey cannever be appeased,as in jonas case. Buhari and indeed nigerians wud av been enjoying massive tranquility by now,..my thots tho*

God bless you for reasoning with your head. Buhari will know that he's a mere spinless mortal

It is worthy of note to state that the dullard's government has created 0.00 million jobs in the first 12 month and has gone further to make life miserable for even those working and making it hell for those daily retrenched from work. Indeed this is a government of change!
Foreign Affairs / China Created 4.43 Million Jobs In First 4 Months Of 2016 by ahaika23: 7:24am On Jun 01, 2016
BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- China added 4.43 million jobs in the first four months of 2016, an official revealed on Tuesday, suggesting that, despite economic headwinds, the job market has "remained basically stable."

"Major job market indicators have stayed within a reasonable range," said Xin Changxing, vice minister of human resources and social security, at a press conference Tuesday.

Xin noted that there was a structural imbalance in the job market, with demand from labor-intensive industries decreasing, while skilled positions, with experience of sophisticated techniques, posted an increase.

Creating more jobs, to keep employment stable, is a top government priority as millions of workers face the prospect of redundancy due to mergers and reorganization in industries bogged down by overcapacity.

China aims to create more than 10 million new urban jobs in 2016 and keep the registered urban unemployment rate below 4.5 percent, according to the government work report released in March.

China's registered unemployment rate in urban areas was 4.04 percent at the end of March.

We are not begging for pipiline maidgard bro. We are working towards a secession. No one is asking Buhari to develop anything with our money for us. Leave it, we will develop it ourselves.
Secrets11:
I care about the Nigerian child ( including yours). There is no justification for NDA actions. None whatsoever but if you feel that is the right way, then you can proceed with your actions. I think you should visit your state and go round the more and see what your actions are causing. ND still remains the most under-developed area in the South-East region for reasons best known to us. So what you are saying is any tribe that wants the attention of the Govt should destroy Govt properties to gain the attention of the Govt? And you are a learned person? Chai!

This is not terrorism. Nowhere in history is terrorism defined by arson or destruction of properties. Terrorism is taking of human lives without recourse. If you watch closely, NDA are not doing that. What is happening is the crippling of the economy that will compel the dullard to come to terms with the demands of a people he tagged as 5%. A people who have a CHOICE and not a bunch of slaves. As for pollution, don't worry about that problem. We have more lands that can never be polluted compared to what will be polluted. Besides only strategic targets are hit and not some indiscriminate bombing so at the end of the day, mission achieved with less consequences. I know you don't care about my children and other generations so stop acting as if you do.
Secrets11:
And the day you were born it was a joyful celebration that a child has been born undecided Terrorism: the only language understood by ND. Your wickedness is not only to Nigerians but also to yourself as ND! Keep spilling and polluting your communities, afterall you ain't polluting my waters or land but yours! Keep bombing and exploding, we all will suffer it but you and your children and your yet-to-be greatgrand children will suffer it and ask questions....kudos to Tom, Dick and Harry...

It is not your crude because they tell you so. Even the land you possess is not yours because your governor gives you a C of O even after perfecting all payment plans because your constitution say the Governor is the holder of the land in trust for the people. But that is totally wrong to start with. If you are not Yoruba, behave like one who's not and stop this attack.
Secrets11:
Your crude oil....you sound so uneducated angry but I will spare you the hassel...For your info I am not yoruba and oil is also mined from my place...we can only clamour for social amenities from the govt in peacefull dialogues and not blow up pipelines all in the name of avenging for our pockets!

The OP's purpose of writng this thread is to insult Rivers people and I can't take that. Who the hell does he think to judge a people vastly doing well in all spheres of life?
ammyluv2002:
Bros, i agree with the OP to an extend. You are not able to get those jobs cos the chiefs fill those slots with outsiders(People who claim to be Rivers State Indigenes).I grew up very close to Shell Company in PH (Rumuomasi)and, i know for sure most of them rejected the jobs given to them by Shell. I'm not saying the OP is totally right, but there's a bit of truth to his post. The Chiefs of those Communities are the ones killing the opportunities

I listened to a radio program last year. Someone claiming to be an indigene of Rivers State phoned in and the anchor asked him some questions, but he won't answer any of them. It happens he doesn't even know his home town, he has been in Congo all his life yet, he benefited from the program. I was wondering how he made the list? Meanwhile, there are peeps in Rivers State who truly needs the program

If I hear that you have oil. Maybe you're talking or kernel oil cos as far as I'm concerned you wouldn't have oil and be jealous of another man. I have a lot of yorubas doing absolutely nothing working in the oil company that is sleezing my community but that is not my business. That is whatthey are, tribalists. If we don't pick arms they feign ignorance of their folly. Rubbish! Let me tell you mr kernel oil owner, shutting down oil operations in the whole of the Niger Delat will not take more than 10 million to achieve. Enough of the theft by sherifat and co. Remembber Tom was in charge of NIMASA for over 4 years, you know what that menas, he had access to unlimited hard currency and nigeria waterways. You all think NDA is a joke, your lacklustre defence system will not even know if tom has got subs strategically located thousands of feet below sea level. Neither will they know locations of military hardware (to include unmanned war drones) he would have garnered in the period he was head of nimasa spanning over 4 years. To buttress this fact, I believe if you could read as at 2 years back Tom purchased some gun boats which was in the news probably that got leaked out. Get to work on your western region and see how you can increase your kernel oil output for foreign export.
Secrets11:
Your curse won't even cross the border between the both of us so save yourself the stress. You have oil in your backyard? See what I am sayin? As an educated person you ought to know " you have no oil" rather, Oil was discovered in your backyard. Do you know that these oil companies take in some few graduates from your community that manages to go to school on a platter of gold even when they clearly do not merit it educationally? Fine, you have done well for yourself and I think your brothers should follow suit. But something strikes me here, do you people from ND have a thing for Terrorism cos you said you have what it takes to support the Defenders abi Avengers technogically? You go school and you dey work yet you crave for Terror. Truth hurts but it needs be told. The oil in your backyard does not belong to you for your info...oil is also mined from my area and I can't claim ownership to it because imy greatgrand father's didn't put oil into the ground. Rubbish

You talk and make me fume. Please where are you from? Do you know I have crude in my family land but benefit nothing from it? I'm a graduate and so many of my kindred are. I am vast in robotics, ict and electronics. I work in an ICT coy far away from ND. I have what it takes to support the Avengers technologically. If you say Rivers people are lazy, I will curse you and your entire generation because I didn't get to where I am being lazy. Be careful what you say. If Rivers people reject 500k jobs, tell me how mcuh my state government pays civil servants having 80% indigence as staff. If you are looking for who to insult, you can start with the dullard or your father.
Secrets11:
The simple truth is this: Rivers people are lazy ( even Gov. Dickson said that). There still is no food for lazy man. Go to school, search for jobs like every Nigerian youths do and when you find one, grab it as long as it can clothe you, put food on your table, train your kids and make you comfortable. Nigeria don't owe you any thing as long as Nigeria is concerned because empty you came into this world, empty you will leave this world...Stop this " our oil " mentality cos it is really not helping you develop
