I told the VO I was going to Ohio when I went for my interview but unfortunately, I can't take a flight to Ohio because it will cost around 412k and I can get a flight to New York, JFK, for around 200k ( a difference of 212k) and then rake a taxi from JFK new York to Ohio which is my final destination. Did you register for BVN before you travelled? The error message means your account has been partially blocked..you can also check your ATM card expiry date.Likewise to anyone having this kind of issue..

A half assistantship is enough for me, the school doesn't run a doctorate program and those profs have strong industry links and research.

I doubt you can get any assistantship from the school this spring since the prof has told u his mind.In my own case,a professor initially promised me fund on the basis of expected fund.All the best Bro.

Probability is 50/50..for A stem related course, it is advisable you write atleast one stardard test in case you are asked at the embassy..whc school is that? stem related courses in most US schools require GRE..

Boss, I was referring to school of mines because their tuition for international std is like $38k.I got admission there and couldn't get any fund after deferring for like two semesters.Lol.Every individual case is different anyways.. Cheers

What's good with you my brother? In bold above, were you talking about that particular school of mining or schools in NM all combined? I schooled in NM and got funded throughout. Likewise other graduate colleagues in the school. Another thread member here got accepted to another school in NM with funding. NM schools are among the cheapest in tuition in U.S. Cost of living too makes sense than other parts.

Oga, New mexico no dey give fund like that oh and their tuition is on the high side..Try and have above 300 in your GRE and you stand a chance of getting assistanship in Kingsville.Environmental Engr. dept is well funded in Kingsville.I don't know more about other schools,good luck..

Anyway, I'll like to know what the Job prospect is like for Environmental Engineers in the U.S. I've read online reviews, and most seem to be dissuading. I have a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, but would like to major in Environmental Engineering; it's where my strength lies. However, I'm ready to give it some thought if it turns out seemingly an unpropitious choice.

Also, I'll be writing the GRE in three weeks, and saying I'm still very much unprepared would be an understatement. I've got the following schools in mind:

University of Cincinnati
New Mexico Institute of Mining and Tech.
University of Wyoming
Texas A & M, Kingsville

Given I'm not as rich as most of you lol, I'll be needing some sort of funding. I do not have stellar grades, but I hope to do pretty okay in the GRE. I have a CGPA of 3.83/5. Do you think these schools are relatively safe, and should fund? I've made my enquiries but would still need firsthand information, pardon me.

But most times, I always know someone who is coming to the U.S from Nigeria and I plead with them to help me bring a couple of stuff from my mom (not too much sha).
