The most recent achievement is being topped by 2 Ekiti state brothers who made solid security vehicles in the country. The situation of things in the country might have made the brothers come up with this invention. Security is very important in an environment since it is associated with one’s safety.

The invention of these solid security vehicles is coming at a time when we need it most. It is amazing to know that a work of this magnitude was done by brilliant people who come from Ijero Ekiti in Ekiti state. If you are familiar with Ekiti state, you will understand that it is possible for people from there to achieve a feat like this with their educational history. There are lots of learned people from this part of Nigeria.

This state also has its fair share of creative people; this includes children who are smarter than their mates in other towns. Inventing objects is not limited to a particular sect as children also explore their potentials when it comes to creativity.

A young university graduate, Mr Wilson Ekeledirichukwu, who set up a fufu processing plant valued at N75,000, at Ihiagwa, near Owerri, said he established the outfit in order to be self-employed and also create jobs.

Ekeledirichukwu, a graduate of animal science from the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO), spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Friday in Owerri.

NAN reports that fufu is a local delicacy, made from fermented cassava and is popularly eaten by many Nigerians, especially people from the Southern and North-Central Nigeria.

“As an undergraduate, I resolved that I will be among Nigerians to create jobs and not those looking for jobs that are not easily available in this country now.

“After my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Oyo State between 2014 and 2015, I first ventured into paint production but discovered that the project required much capital,’’ he said.

Ekeledirichukwu said that he finally settled for the processing of fufu, adding that the equipment for the fufu processing cost him about N75, 000.

He said that the “uniqueness of our fufu is that it has no odour,’’ adding that rather than the local method of pounding fufu, his outfit “uses turning method and gas cooker to process the product.’’

According to him, he has been supplying fufu to restaurants in his alma mater, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, (FUTO), Federal Polytechnic, Nekede, Owerri and growing number of customers.

Ekeledirichukwu put the staff strength of the outfit at three, with N15,000 each monthly salary. He said that his intention was to established a food processing firm with capacity to engage over 100 workers.

“If I sustain the income margin I am making now, I hope to establish my dream business before long.’’

“I feel that there are vast opportunities to tap by the young and energetic Nigerians, all that is needed is for people to have entrepreneurial spirit to drive their vision.’’

The leader of the robbery team met his water-loo after he and his group held a mother of four, Folashade Jayeoba, hostage and led her to the bank to withdraw N90,000. According to Vanguard, Jayebo was reportedly led to the bank after she complained to the suspects that she had no cash at home. The leader of the gang was said to have asked for her ATM card and they followed her to the bank while they held her children hostage at home.

While parading the suspects in front of journalists, the Ondo state police commissioner, Hilda Harrison, said the suspects invaded the house of the victim and robbed her of valuables, including a flat screen television. The police boss explained that they also abducted the victim and her four children and led them to Keystone Bank in Alagbaka, Akure, where she was forced to withdraw N90,000, adding that the money was collected from the victim before she and the children were set free by the suspects. The leader of the gang, 23-year-old Samuel Ayodele has since been arrested at Gaga, Oke-Aro area of the Akure metropolis. He was said to have confessed to the crime, while the victims’ items were recovered from his house.

Nigerian business tycoon, Folorunsho Alakija, says going to the university was not her destiny as she was able to achieve her dreams without a degree.

Alakija, one of the richest black women in the world, said this on Thursday at the Excellence in Leadership program, an annual event organised by Daystar Christian Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.

The founder of Rose of Sharon motivated the audience by saying that she never allowed a lack of university education to suppress her dreams and ambition.

“If I had the opportunity of going to the university, maybe I would have come out with a second class upper or lower but that didn’t happen; that wasn’t to be my destiny,” she said.
I would have loved to go to the university as we all know that university education is good but some of us who have not gone, it is not the end of the world.”

Alakija said she was able to attain her present position because she was determined and ready to pay the price that came with all the challenges she’s had to surmount.

“Having put my foot in the door, I decided I was not going to turn back”, she noted, revealing that when she had to file a lawsuit against the federal government for taking 50 out of her 60 percent equity, she remained determined.

The case which took 12 years to reach a conclusion was a matter of determination, she said.

Alakija said she her person has been subjected to series of misconceptions due to the ignorance of people who don’t know her story.

The oil magnate noted that she is a product of hard work, sweat, tears, and tenacity, stressing that she’s not an overnight success.

“A lot of things have been said about me, some say I sold my way to the top; I remember that the headline of one of the national dailies in the country once said ‘Hairdresser given an oil block’. So I even became a hairdresser, one of the many names I was given.”

She encouraged participants at the conference to believe in themselves as it would be easier for others to believe in such people; she added that she believed in herself while moving from fashion designing to an unfamiliar terrain.

This citizen reporter, Martin Nworah, is claiming that the police have arrested the guys behind the leaked sex tape at Enugu. According to him, the guys are allegedly part of a 7-member gang who specialises in blackmailing ladies and they are allegedly the guys who leaked the viral lesbian sex video of ex-Miss Anambra, Chidinma Okeke. He took to his Facebook page to post their pictures with the caption:


”THE GANG BLACKMAILING UNIZIK GIRLS ”A seven man syndicate of young guys who specialize in blackmailing young ladies (especially UNIZIK students) were caught by the police at Enugu. From investigation, these guys were the people who orchestrated the release of the lesbian video of the former Miss Anambra. They met their waterloo when they tried the same trick on another lady who was a former Unizik student but currently an upcoming actress and a model.

”Their mode of operation is very simple. They open female Facebook accounts and scout for unsuspecting young ladies. These guys will operate the said accounts as ladies and become very friendly with the said girls. Inundated with promises of making them become celebrities and promising to crop out their faces before posting pictures, these unsuspecting girls will send nude pictures and shot lesbian videos in return for a particular sum of money(around 100k). Immediately they get hold of these videos or pictures, they will blackmail them into returning the money or else they publish the video or pictures. I, as Martin Beck Nworah, is categorically stating that this is a verified fact because I have seen victims in the past. And even if you do, they will still keep the materials and use it in blackmailing you when they feel you have become popular or achieved something.

”In the case of the former Miss Anambra, after extorting so much money from her, she became fed up and threatened to deal with them since she is now a beauty queen. Remember, her lesbian video was shot in her year one in the university even before she dreamt of contesting for Miss Anambra in 2015. When these boys saw they can no longer extort more money from her, they decided to start releasing her video(One single video they decided to cut in parts). They also screen grabbed parts of the video and released as pictures to the public. While we wait for official statement from the security outfits, this is not in defense of anybody. I promised to physically follow this issue and see to its logical end. Thank God, we are making progress and getting to the roots. Before you form an opinion on social media, please try and verify facts if you can.

”For our parents, I have repeatedly begged you to be close to your daughters and provide enough guidance for them. Just try your best and make sure you provide enough for them. According to a Facebook page, Corruption Concern, which posted the unbelievable picture, the highly respectable politician got entangled with a prostitute who decided to retaliate by publishing his naked picture while snoring. The picture was captioned:

”See what our so called leaders become in the hands of prostitutes. This is a lesson to all of us.This is the PDP Chairman in Edo State They said he refused to pay the lady and she waited for him to snore and took this picture in the hotel and ran away Good for the fool. All the money they’ve stolen makes them feel they can get away with anything.”

The controversial post which has garnered about 2,262 shares has got lots of people talking. While some are saying his face was superimposed on the naked picture, some think it is just an attempt to pull the Edo PDP chairman down.

A young woman has exposed a pastor who forced her to sleep with him under the guise of offering her spiritual help.

The South African woman identified as 36-year-old Yvonne Smith, accused Pastor Bongani Manyisa of deceiving her and forcefully having sex with her, after offering her spiritual help.

Smith who had gone to Manyisa while she was searching for healing after she suffering from a stroke, said she had ‘paid’ for it by sleeping with the pastor, and also buying him a R20 000 (N453,000) piano. According to her, the healing was scheduled to take place over several months, and the pastor had made sexual advances towards her and eventually slept with her repeatedly while ‘healing’ her.

Smith who hails from Orlando East in Soweto, said she made up her mind to expose Manyisa eventually. She met the church council who ended up sacking the pastor from his position.

Here’s what Smith said:

“I suffered a stroke last August. I was in and out of hospital but was not getting any better. I was invited to the church where the pastor concentrated on me and prayed for me. After I got better, the pastor started making sexual and financial demands. I could not face going back to the pain that I felt while I was sick, because I could tell he was powerful. He kept poking me for months until I said ‘enough.”

Responding to the allegations against him, Pastor Manyisa said:

“I have a protection order against her because she harasses me all the time. She cost me my place at the church. She just wants to see me suffer. I don’t owe her anything. I thought it was just her gratitude for helping her during her healing process. Now I just want to recover from all this. Despite not being part of that church anymore I still have God’s calling and will continue to help people.”

According to Nametso Mofokeng, a spokeswoman from Manyisa’s former church, the church had thoroughly investigated the matter before reaching their decision. She said:

“After receiving the complaint, investigations were launched into the matter. Findings of the
investigations led to the pastor being laid off his duties because of an alleged breach. As the church, we are sensitive when it comes to disciplinary matters and we had to terminate his contract of service as he was voluntary staff.”

97 migrants, mostly African nationals including three women and a child, are believed to have perished on Wednesday, October 26th, when a rickety inflatable boat carrying them fell apart in the Mediterranean Sea and capsized off the coast of Libya.
The migrants left Tajoura, in western Libya, before dawn on Wednesday morning. A patrol of the Coast Guard received an SOS call from Libyan oil tanker Anwaar Al-Khaleej warning about an imminent drowning of an illegal immigrants' boat.


The spokesman for the navy, Ayoub Gassim said the boat tore and began filling with water about 42 kilometres (26 miles) off Libyan coast. The Libyan coast guard rescued 29 survivor out of the 129 in the boat.

"The staff onboard the tanker managed to save 29 immigrants while the remaining 97 ones, including 3 women and a child, drowned."
