Since you've been following the series from Power, you should by now realized the writer is making Tariq character a better version of GHOST. His father doesn't need to teach him anything, he's in the blood, and every other thing he needs to learn was revealed, like Tasha, Kanan, and Tommy telling him their own version of what happened in the past, and kanan showing him how to be brutal on the street.

The ending doesn't fit into the smartness the writer claim Franklin was in the beginning of the series. Killing him would've been better than this ending (my opinion)
