Boys are usually like that especially if they do not have a direct older brother who is sensible and mature. If they have females as older siblings, they tend to run haywire as teen-agers especially when they've started getting female attention from outside

Look for a non violent way to discipline him because one of these days you won't be able to slap him and get away with it

Wasted my three seconds thinking you'll finally say something sensible, alas... undecided

NwaAmaikpe:
shocked

I was almost starting to think you were selfish about your decision to keep her but reading further it became clearer that you have a genuine bond with her, are empathetic to her plight and wants just the best for her.

But this is a very tricky issue and you would never know the lenght it will go when the tales are spurn in the neighborhood about how you housed a cast-away to spite her husband's people.
I will feel bad if I were her husband and even worse if I am her mother-in-law.

Life is easy.
This lady is extremely good to your kids and is a perfect fit in your house.
Your kids see her as family too.
Your husband is willing to house her despite knowing her husband is just a breadth away.

Most importantly, you see the good in her that not even her husband who married her and her mother-in-law who lives with her sees.
You apparently have concluded that this lady is indispensable to the life of your kids and the bliss of your family.

Hanty, there is only one way to keep her without hurting both yourself and her mother-in-law.
Just tell your husband to marry her, that way she will become you people's property and you will not feel so bad when your husband starts fvcking her.

Because definitely, water must find it's level.

Over to Lalasticlala and the other elders.

Hmm! Some mother-in-law can be so terrible

She wasn't terrible per se, she just had strict notions of propriety and then preconceived bias towards my tribe. I'm glad that our relationship is getting better as each day passes.

She's now the one championing wedding 2020/21 wink

It’s possible

Your personal phone has to be the only camera on board
Invitation would be done via sms only
Bride price - non asked and of course non given
Clothing- borrowed or previously owned
Makeup - borrowed or manage the existing one
Cars - uber or a friend’s car or invite the priest to your house and have everything done there
Feeding - it doesn’t cost much for a get together for 20 strictly by invitation family members - the rest can watch online

Both of you are partners

It's not anything about men making better decisions than women

You are both supposed to consult each other and air your opinions respectfully then agree on a decision. In cases where you both cannot agree, compromise.

Nobody's opinion is better than the other, nobody has more sense than the other. You're just two individuals with different ways of looking at things

Op stop resenting your wife secretly and broadcasting her failures. There are times your own decision backfires too, nobody is perfect.

Family / Re: What's Your Greatest Regret In 2019? by Amanee(f): 9:38pm On Dec 30, 2019
Eifechukwude0:
Everything this year is my regret, even staying alive is a regret for me

Hmmmmn

It is well oh. Don't give up, you will smile at last. I'm not just saying this to sound motivational but its the truth. I am a living example.

If someone had told me in 2016 when my business failed and I couldn't collect my certificate to get a good job because I didn't have money, if they had told me I'll be where I am today, I would never believe it.

But look at God.

I just finished NYSC in October 2019 and that same month, I got a good job in a company I would never dream of working in, in my life. None of my family members knew anybody to help me pull strings, nobody did anything for me. God just favoured me and changed my life story.

It can be your story tomorrow.

So, don't give up. Don't ever ever ever give up.

No matter how bad the situation may be. Your life story can change in an instant. Up until August this year, I was still worried about getting a job with the scary things we hear about unemployment in Nigeria, I was still thinking of managing 30k teaching job but God had better plans.

@the topic, I have no regrets this year. It has been a wonderful year yet and I'm sure there are better things to come wink smiley

She need to make attempt to fix the marriage first. Are you going to tell the next man that you left your previous marriage due to mental illness? If you dont tell him and he finds out, will he not say he was betrayed just like her husband is saying now? Supposed the new husband want his own kids, would she oblige and risk recurrence? You can see its getting complicated!

I won't waste my energy on this oga

So you want her to be alone for the rest of her life? Or you dont know the children will eventually leave to pursue their own lives? She is also not expected to be in her parents house forever!

Who says she'll be alone? Open your eyes and wake up to reality. Divorced women are getting snapped up into loving relationships and marriages especially if the woman has achieved something with her life and learnt from the past.

And what's so miserable about being alone? Better to be alooone than to stay married to an ignorant and miserable psychopath

But without bias, Paul is a better singer and songwriter, Peter obviously isn't. Imagine how somebody blew only to end up an aspiring artiste, village witches una doh oh

It seems like the phrase "in sickness and health" should be scrapped because it has outlived its usefulness in contemporary marriages.

Tons of Nigerian women enjoy suffering because I don't understand the basis of this thread. It's like some Nigerian married women lose their sense of self-preservation the moment they say 'I do' but the sad part is, most Nigerian men don't.

Most Nigerian men retain their sense of selfishness to the core while the women loose themselves on the altar of marriage because why on earth will this op be thinking of going back to a man who abandoned her in her hour of need?

If it was a friend now we'll be hearing resolution 2020, cut off fake people. Meanwhile your husband has shown himself to be fickle and self centered and you're considering going back to him. Sense fall on you madam
