Develop thick skin and be selfish about what you want for your life. Don't allow anybody push you to suicide because once you die, you're gone. They'll only mourn you for a short period and your mother will use your death to garner sympathy from others and even money. But you'll be gone forever and be nothing but a short memory, a candle briefly snuffed by the wind, a book that ended at the beginning and a sad statistics of gone too soon.

They did that shiit to me before. Unfortunately for them I had an offer from a company I have been wanting to win over and I knew allowing them to delay me will make me lose the offer to others.

Bribed them with 10k and left only to discover they had lost my car documents. That led to my wife knowing and calling her parents and till date they won't forget that incident.

One would have just lost his job if I didn't beg for the bastard.

Why did you beg? People like him have been terrorizing hardworking citizens, even killing off some and are bound to do it again. The sentiment that clouded your judgement in the face of this injustice is wrong. Erring officials should be made to pay and that will teach the rest some sense. I don't believe in sparing any of them, they are corrupt and if the government cannot see it then we should all do our best to ensure that the guilty ones pay.

The blood of the victims of the man you begged for is on your hands.

Autojoshng I really admire this follow-up you've done on the governor's directive. It's not enough to make promises and take photos for the media, Nigerian politicians should be held accountable by the electorates.

Good job Josh, if more Nigerians were like you, this country would be a better place.

Bullying is becoming a normal thing especially with the advent of the internet. People don't need to antagonize people physically when you can do it over the internet. In the case of nairaland;

-you call members of other tribes derogatory names, you are a bully! angry

-you are a member of NCAN (Name Checkers Association of Nigeria), you are a bully! angry

-you post unsavory pictures of females especially and call them prostitutes from thread to thread, you are a bully! angry

TV/Movies / Aroma Ufodike Of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire: Who Remembers This Man? by Amanee(f): 8:59am On Oct 18, 2019
Who remembers this man?

Aroma Ufodike, from Nnewi, Anambra State, who appeared on the popular TV Show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in Nigeria” on September 11, 2009, and won 10 million naira. He was the first and only person to win the top prize in Nigeria, I think.

He got all the questions without using any life line.

When he was on the last question, he said “I want to use my 'phone a friend' option to call my family at home that I’m about to win 10million Naira.”

My thoughts also go to the intellectually balanced Frank Edoho

Where is Gulder Ultimate Search?

These are the type of programs we need to see on air not the extremely immoral Big Brother Nigeria.

This is worth celebrating indeed, but I'm not trying to shame BBNaija either.. I'm just saying..

I wish these intellectually stimulating TV programmes could return back to our homes. #GodBlessNigeria

It's high time we masses start beating and attacking these governors.

What have they been doing with Federal allocations,Tax payers money, paris fund and security votes running in billions of dollars?

watch the video how over 40 residential buildings got destroyed and scores of lives were lost in Onitsha

Short grained and sweet

Ps: For those complaining about rice with Stones, you obviously didn't buy from the mill if not they destone and bag it for you. If you buy one derica from these roadside sellers, some of them don't destone the rice because they want to make more profit.

@bolded. Whatever you've been smoking, madam pls, come off it! There's so much you don't know. Are you sure you're a Nigerian at all?

They didn't invest jack! They're all victims of their own misguidance. Their region is so messed up that it's become almost inhabitable for modern civilization. A haven and fortress for savagery. Their negative attitudes, divisibility, and arrogant nature have been the apex reason of their downfall.

Even in the most fairly contested election ever held in the history of this nation where MKO won the north and SW in a landslide, he lost in the SE. Simply because of their sentiments and hatred for Yorubas and anything Yoruba. They supported OBJ cuz they've got no choice as it was btw two Yorubas. They supported OBJ to spite the SW as, the SW supported Falae. They'll do anything to spite Yoruba pple. They opposed PMB simply cuz of Osinbajo, his Yoruba V.P.

The same Yorubas that give them accomodation and roofs upon their heads. No other tribes can successfully thrive in their own region. They're very un-accomodating to other tribes even their own Igbo pple if you're not from their states or localities.

I love progressive minded Igbos... Late Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu will always be my hero. I love him to death but, his pple messed up the 1966 coup due to unnecessary sentiments. That's story for another day. Guess who 'strategically' killed him? That coward, Ojukwu!

Of course, not all of them are bad. Majority of the educated ones are great. I've got several Igbo friends and, trust me they sometimes regret their heritage.

Your hatred is what is making you stagnant in life. You'll never move forward if you harbor such resentment for people that don't even care about your existence.

TV/Movies / Near Success Syndrome: BBNaija 2019 Lessons by Amanee(f): 12:12pm On Oct 07, 2019
Types Of Spirits That Cause 'Near Success Syndrome' - The BBN Example

BBNaija 2019 has finally come and gone and in the ensuing few weeks, Nigerian youths will be caught up in the euphoria of following up with the lives of ex-housemates and the winner. I didn't personally follow the show but the little I was able to discern with the help of Nairaland and Twitter has formed this thread.

Sometimes, shows as mundane as Big Brother Naija "Pepper Dem" version may not be educational on face value but I see everything in life as a lesson and if you look, even shows like BBN have a lot of lessons to impart to everyone.

Without further ado, let's look at the Types of Spirits that causes near success syndrome - BBN example.

Instigation Cindy

This spirit is sometimes personified in people that we know, family members even people we refer to as friends. People like Cindy in BBN. Those people that are eager to tell you what was said about you behind your back, to tell you who called you stupid , who disrespected you, who gossiped about you and what have you; but when you react, when the fight starts, they will be the first to hide in the corner, act neutral , watch and laugh, while you make a fool of yourself. An instigator is the worst enemy. Beware of the Cindys’ in your life. After all said and done, nobody will remember the instigators like Cindy, but your reaction will forever be imprinted in everyone’s hearts. It may even cost you your success.

Anger

Yes, Mercy's hair flip right into Tacha's face coupled with the stream of insults can provoke anyone to anger. But giving into that anger is what seperates winners from losers and more importantly, 30M richer from 1m and bogus promises richer. You mustn’t react every time you are pushed to anger. You might be right, but will end up apologizing because of your reaction. Tacha was right to have defended herself, but her defense unfortunately involved getting physical, hence, her disqualification. Thus, she ended up being the one giving the apology. You mustn’t react every time you are offended because you are right.

Engaging in unnecessary battles

This is a spirit that has seen many men and women reach the brink of success but never actualize it because they spent a lot of time and energy focusing on unnecessary battles. In Tacha's case, barely few days to the final, she chose a battle that took her own head. Sometimes it is good to swallow one's pride and take one for the team. Team You! Before you pick that battle: Is it close to your wedding day? Your exam? Your traveling out? Your promotion? An upcoming important event in your life? What is at stake for you? You don’t have to be a walk over but sometimes, you take one for the team. Team You!! It doesn’t make you stupid! It makes you wise! Engaging in unnecessary battles on the other hand, keeps you from not reaching the finish line.

Do you know who I am?

The pride that comes with this spirit has hindered a lot of us from achieving great things. This was clearly Tacha’s year! Tacha’s game! But in order to show ima kwa onye m'bu? Mercy took what could have been hers. Sometimes it might be in your home, in your car, in your business, or in what belongs to you; but you still need to forget who you are, maybe join the queue, maybe don’t respond, or maybe follow the entire process. Sometimes you need to forget that your important role/ image/position. We marvel when we see billionaires like Bill Gates on a queue but imagine him in the process of trying to form do you know who I am, shoves another customer?
Imagine the law suits that will follow when the shoved person will form hip, leg and liver fracture from the gentle shove? Imagine the public outcry and the inconveniences that might follow? Won't it be better if Bill Gates jejely respects himself when he’s in public and joins the queue?

This here might be a game, another tv entertainment, but there is an element of BBN 2019 game in all of us. We sometimes lose it big, miss out on important things in life because we were unnecessarily trying to prove something in the right place, at the wrong time.

A word is enough for the wise.
