fcmb was in the same position early this year and even the share price was 0.68 then.

They paid dividend and they are out of the wood.FCMB eps may reach 1 something by year end.

I don't think I can buy diamond for now until they show some sense by considering returns on shareholders fund. But medium outlook of FCMB is pretty good.

NA WA OOH...With this CBN news on recapitalization do you think it safe to invest in Diamond or FCMB again?

Recapitalization is not news just that the NDIC guy was spewing the news like rubbish. Those are still cheap for medium term.

Overvalued? By what parameters? I doubt it if there will be any stock that will beat UCAP in term of dividend yield in the next earning season!

The 3rd quarter eps is 0.78k and final eps may reach 1naira or exceed it.This company may likely surprise the market again.

This must be a tough time for Diamond bank as investors who love dividend are having an exciting moment loading dividend paying stocks.

Fidelity bank worths considerate when it comes to dividend than diamond..........i expect Diamond to fall the more......

There is no other way about except they reverse the trend and start paying dividend.Diamond is on its way to Skye bus station. grin

but the order got filled not too long. hope the order reach nse or is it only on leadtrader paper order.

i will try and registered this new acct. with cscs for confirmation

@OBAGADAFFI and angelo82,,, are they for real

One thing about them is that they over comply to rules of NSE and besides if you click market research under research column you will see the trades and the quantity bought or sold even from other platform.

Your thoughts sound logical but considering the current economic doldrums I don't see it successful. Besides, these assets are as good as moribund and would gulp so much capital to revive them. Where the bank decides to spin them off at a forced value, then the moment of respite management is looking for might still be far away. Like I said, the government should just take full control, EFCC should go after the loan defaulters force them to pay down significant portion of the outstanding and agree a payment plan for the balance. If this is done it will help cure the negative CAR of the bank and better reposition it for any future buy out.

These are good assets both domestic and foreign.

Even AMCON will reject Skye. They can't afford it for now

Selling or nationalizing skye is not an option for now because most of the other shareholders are current APC members and selling the subsidiaries is what they are waiting for to prop up their balance sheet and release the damn result.

[quote author=ExLaidback post=51698737]The more I see the trend in digital currency and mobile money wallets the more I worry about the near future of our banking institutions.

Why are you worried?,banks are still in charge of all these and without them nothing can be done.
