Hello any news with the scarcity of dollars.

This situation is attempting to derail my plans o any bright Ideas

Try sending the money via western union to your self before you leave or have someone send it after u leave., cheaper than black market. My mum did something like that a week ago via 1st bank, the exchange rate was N199.8 to $1 but u will pay bank charges about N15k + to send $1k, so all in all it will come out to about N216 per $1. Better than black market.
But theres a snag, 1st bank says u can only send $1k per transaction, they gave my mum a story i could not quiet understand . Try other banks that send western union. Bank transfer is a no no, even before $went up toN260, bank was changinging at N237 per $ for bank wire transfer, minus fees.

The Devil is a liar!!! Haba! Justwise, wetin I buy for your hand wey I no pay na! Just couldn't comment for almost a week now.... shocked is nor fia O.

Enhenh, congratulations to all successful visa and POEs, plus all our los dem. May God continue to guide our steps. And to all our newbies, you're welcome on board this flight , pls enjoy while you go through from part 1-3....grin.

So my update, I've concluded on Houston O. But will stop over in Dallas for a few days before porting. Hope I won't be too late at 37weeks for my doc.

Also, booked Qatar airways on hold, but then I saw this new baggage allowance review with United and my eyes wide shocked. Or does this new rule affects them all?? Qatar will also be having a stop over of over 14hrs on return, and no connection accommodation, na im i pick race O. Though hubby will be with me but then, how will I manage with lo?? but the price cheap sha.

And those that had travelled with Emirate, was there provisions for accommodation or will do that myself?? Cos they also have about 21hrs layover O. All of them tire me sef.

No cheap flights again O, all na btw 350&500k. cry. This ppl no dey smile at all.

Pls mamas and papas travelling in January, in case you see any deal, abeg holla O. Intend booking any one before the week runs out.
Also for any latest cheap Hosp in Dallas, I no go still mind too. ;DD ...nice day peeps..

For emirates you have to choose the best available flight to be eligible for dubai connect, any flight with transit time longer than 8hrs they provide accommodation. if there is an available flight with a shorter transit time (less than 8hrs) and you dont select it, but rather go for one with a longer transit time, then they might not give u accommodation.

It doesnt matter, Thats popular with Houston POE. When my wife went through Houston POE Last year for Vacation it was the same Stamping without any duration. So normally if it was stamped without any duration it means u have your normal six months which u must not Overstay. Its not a problem at all.

Yep, true.

Hello house I'm actually not new here, I have a question to ask. I've read some pages but couldn't find answers.
My question goes like this: I currently have a U.S Visa which bears my maiden name along with my Nigerian passport(I got my passport before I got married). I used it for birthing purposes in 2014 which was the same year I got it. I need to renew it next year because I intend to travel next year. The thing is both my Nigerian passport and my U.S Visa will expire in June 2016. I intend to renew both using my new name. Please what is the best way to go about it, is it going to be problematic or shld I just renew through Dropbox using my maiden name. I need suggestions please.

If you want your husband's name on the new passport, apply for passport renewal/change of data. When you get your new passport, apply for your visa renewal drop box, attaching both passports together. You can renew your visa if the remaining validity is 6months or less. Thats what i did. Pls be sure to check that the old passport is cancelled before you leave immigration office. Mine was not cancelled, the embassy had to call me to come pick it, cancel and take it back to them, after which the guy just looked and it and gave me back saying he did not need it again.

Also remember to apply for your visa using your husband's surname, ie form ds 160

@anizi Does that mean she can apply for dropbox now because her visa is still valid till ending of February 2016.

Please educate me. Thanks

Yes she can, once you have less than 6months before the visa expires, you can re apply. I renewed mine early august, i still had a valid visa till oct, once the new one is issued, the old will be cancelled.

Dear All,

Kindly need your advise, my cousin needs to visit the US sometimes in January 2016 to return mid March 2016, but her visa is expected to expire ending of February 2016.

Purpose isn't birthing. Would you advise she applies for dropbox now or is it possible for her to travel and return back in March to apply for her renewal.

Please advise.

Thank you.

In my opinion she should renew before going, if she has less than 6 months left for the visa to expire, she can renew before going, better safe than sorry, what if shes stamped in till feb? My mum has been in a similar situation, she was stamped in to the expiration date of the visa, not 1 day more

Hi people,

I need urgent help here please...
Has anyone ever settle a payment plan for their hospital bill ? How it went down ? Did you still got to pay the package (discounted) price or did you pay the normal price and how much more was that ?

I used Oakbend in Houston before my due date since i had an emergency c-section and a premie.
Thank God, baby's fine now but i had unexpected bills to pay so the hospital bill is still pending.
Now they gave me 2 weeks after discharge but i won't meet the date and will probably need an extra 2 weeks undecided
Now i can't sleep at night, i'm so scared they gonna raise my bill to the "undiscounted" rate. How much more could that be ?
Do you have any idea if i can manage to pay the 3500$ later on in one or two installments ?

thank u

I think oakbend can take instalments, please call them to verify i am only assuming because when i had my baby, i was asked if i wanted to pay the bill at once or in instalments. If you used dr F, you can talk to him to help talk to the hospital. Call them

Really, but i have a different experience....

Maybe my baby's wee in the 1st month was out of proportion cos i abandoned the few packs left of the swaddlers cos of combination of looking like he stuffed eggplant down there in no time & the new born size became too small after week 2 & a half... By week 3, we moved to size one,...

By week 5, we moved to size 2 & abandoned the rest at around 2months... He is 4mths now & he's on size 3 ...

I bought him the snug & dry in naija sef, though it was purchased in oke arin & sent to me in abuja, (the ones i paid excess luggage for was bad investment..) & i still wonder what kind of "chemical" locks in Boy pee like that!, It must be some voodoo ish!! cheesy

grin grin

I would say just watch how your baby grows, its different for every baby. My baby was born 3.5kg, she used more than a box of pampers Newborn swaddlers (218) count i think, till she was slightly over a month old. also more than a box of size 1 (186) count i think. She will be 6 months in a few days and size 2 still fits her well, though i know i have to change to 3 very soon.

Thats a lie! You cannot stop over in Atlanta unless you have a US transit visa. You can only get a transit visa at the embassy. Stop lying

Not particularly a lie, he could have had his connecting flight to canada from Atlanta airport, he does not need to go out of the airport. A visa is need if he wants to go out of the airport into the city

My friend's husband is a doctor. They both got visa to give birth. Now d husband said he will deliver baby himself and call the ambulance. So no cost of delivery.

No cost for hospital, but i hope he knows the cost of ambulance, he might end up paying x3 the cost of hospital. My advice if he does not want to pay dr, he should use a midwife so he wont have issues filing paper work for Bc and Ss number.

People need to stop giving others bad advice on here.

You don't need to lie about losing a passport to get another visa. I'm a frequent traveler and I've run through 2 passports in less than a year before and I'm currently on my 6th passport. With all that, I got denied a Schenghen visa via the Spanish embassy this year. Guess what... I still got another Schenghen visa after that for Norway.

Being denied a visa does not mean a passport is now useless. There are people here that have applied for the US visa 3-4 times before they were successful. Who knows what would happen if that deception is found out.

I know people generally give good advice here but we should also discourage it when people give bad advice

Thank you, all these bad advice will only get her into more trouble. That one country denied you a visa is no yardstick for another country to deny you. I remember years ago the very 1st visa i applied for (uk) was denied, a week after with the same passport i applied and was issued a Us visa

So BA says we can't add an infact to mommy's ticket. They say we have to make a fresh booking for the baby. This is completely different from everything I've read here. What are we to do? Please advise

I think you should insist that your infants ticket be added to yours, afterall will they sell an infant ticket without an accompanying adult? They are just trying to out smart you!

The incidence of back pain post delivery is almost 50%
Predisposing factors are varied, but EPIDURAL IS NOT ONE OF DEM.
Summary, with or without epidural, if u will have back pain, u will have

A failed epidural can result in back pain and constant headaches

CRAIGSLIST!!! Each time I hear craigslist I remember how someone sliced someone's belly to steal baby, or how someone was robbed and shot dead trying to buy or sell a car. Pardon me, grin av inherited Neks31 vivid imagination, but please, no, not craigslist!!!

You can try gumtree.com though, airbnb also works well

I got the apartment where i stayed from craigslist. If its a sub lease, in an apartment complex, you will go through the apartment leasing office, that way you will know its genuine because you have to sign documents and all that. If its a private stand alone house then i would say No no or be very careful.

It's painful. Try relaxing the hand from whatever repetitive activity you do duch as typing on the phone etc. you can also put it in a small cast

Ok, thank you. Mine started after delivery, the pain is out of this world oh, thank God when it hurts its just for few secs. My dr said mine has gone on for too long (6 months)so i need to see an orthopedic dr

I did travel to nija without paying for mine daughter's because I learned from my last mistake. I am not going to say you are wrong because I don't know your own experience, I am just sharing mine. I am a frequent flyer that fly 2 to 3 times a year if not more.

I am also a frequent traveller, and i think i can confidently tell you its not possible, what airline do you fly with, am guessing your infants ticket was attached with yours and you were just giving the total cost thats why you didnt notice.

Hello Moms, I just downloaded one of the infant travel bed, They are several once you can choose from. Bassinet the airline give you is not free, it the money you paid for your baby that made you entitle to the bassinet. you don't have to pay for your baby, you can tell them you are carrying your baby on your lap and that you have a traveling bed. U also put the travelling bassinet(bed) in front of you just like the one the airline provided to you.
Hope I answered your question

No infant travels internationally without paying 10% of adult fare for that flight, if you like tell them you want to place the child on your back, you still have to pay, And the 10% is not bassinet fee, if it were bassinet fee, then when bassinets are fully book, other parents traveling with infants wont have to pay the 10%, but thats not the case!

Thanks a lot favored gal... That $5,940 spurred me into action, cos my baby is just about a month old (but wait first, wetin dem do wey reach dat kin amount..??) shoo...!! Anywayz, i called them again and after searching their systems ova & ova, they didn't find any record/bills for my wife. The woman then asked if my wife took an epidural. I said No, that it was a normal delivery. She then said if an epidural wasn't administered there wouldn't be any bill from them. I told her that my wife took medication for the pain but she said that wasn't 4rm them. So i'm guessing i'm free there...... I hope they are no setting me up sha.. undecided so I no go fit renew my visa again smiley
The iv pain medication they give in the hospital is part of the package, u dont pay for that separately. It has nothing to do with anesthesiologists.

I also got my ticket from waka now (emirates) got my infant ticket from emirates desk at houston airport, didnt have to use waka now for that. What date are u looking to travel and return?
