Nope not only south west universities
In northern Nigeria the best universities are Yorubas controlled
Unilorin is best northern university
Ui is best southern university
Futminna second best northern university is Yorubas controlled
Abu is aboki and useless
Best state university, lautech,Yorubas controlled
Best private university, covenant, Yorubas controlled
Stop being mean to a Tribe.

Don't worry let highered release times higher ranking
Let me see anyone that complain
Im going to curse that person
I'm ready for u people
No sane Lion or Lioness would ever complain about Facts.
UNN is 2nd only to UI as far as Public Universities go.
My point is this, Congratulate them and Move on grin
Don't bring in Yoruba does this or that please.

I respect Yorubas so much.hardly would you find yoruba in UNN but igbos are much in SW Universities. Why,because the yorubas have 4 standard Universities that are really making waves within and outside Nigeria.

Anybody that wants to argue that UNN is greater than UI is actually dreaming(at least for now) since UI is not really resting on her laurels.

I give respect to whom respect is due.
Proudly Lion any day. grin

See this nonentity, weren't u and that tundebricklayer crying over times higher ranking which put ui and covenant over unn
Weren't u and tundebricklayer saying that these ranking were fake?
This ranking is even talking about transparency and its even beta, which means they have not finished their research
Over on this list ,ui unilorin covenant unilag are all in sw Nigeria
Only unn that u people always cry about
Sw has ui unilag covenant futa oau lautech, even in middle bet,the best universities there are controlled by Yorubas, unilorin is Yoruba controlled
Futminna is Yoruba controlled, go and check d number of staff of futminna and their past vc
Yorubas dominate futminna and are very many in bida and minna in Niger state, go and research
While u people don't have more than one university u all cry about, Yorubas have over 8 individual university doing better than any university in Nigeria
Unn that is like Abu for hausas
Yorubas university are evenly competing
And when webometrics release another list, if ui is number let me see any nincompoop that will discredit it like u always discredit it when ui was number one
I'm still waiting for times higher ranking
Let me see u people that don't have any inferiority complex comment
Highered is propanly laughing at u guys stupidity
Mtchew people that don't have more than unn
If top ten list is done, I'm sure 7 will b from sw universities
And unn is not d best university in Nigeria
Like I said ,If any news organisation report any news, I will look at those who report it, I'm not going to be surprised if guardian is pro Igbo like vanguard and punch news
Only a mumu Yoruba will fall for this
For the first time ever the ranking favour them, they have now stopped crying
Mtchew
You think with your Anus.
Tomorrow you would call yourself a graduate.

In Life Make sure you know about something before dishing out Advice.
Some of you are Calculating her GP, some are even Speculating what she has to get in order to graduate with First Class.
Forgetting that some courses in Pharmacy need atleast 60% before you go to the next level.
Pharmacy is not your conventional Courses that you could calculate the CGPA easily.

Like i told her, Pharmacy is UNCLASSIFIED.
I believe she is still in 1st year that is why her CGPA is eating her up.

From her 2nd year (which is the pharmacy School proper),she won't remember her CGPA again.
In Pharmacy it is either Pass,Fail or Distinction.

My dear,Just situp and read your books. Avoid RESIT,REPEAT or even to Leave Pharmacy School.

If you are studying Pharmacy I don't think you should be bothered about graduating with a First Class.

Pharmacy is Unclassified.
There is Nothing like i graduated with a First Class in Pharmacy.

You should be talking about graduating with distinction in pharmacology,Cognosy,Pharmaceutical Chemistry,Technology,Clincal etal.

Stop that tears and Situp.

Before i leave this thread,No matter what anyone would like to say,UNN is a good school.
Whether webometrics is 30% or 5% doesn't matter, what matters is that UNN is 1st.

In Times Higher Education, only UI and Covenant are Ahead of UNN.
Everyother University aside these Three Universities should just shut the Bleep up.

Sir, this gate here is still that of Nsukka Campus.
UN'Nsukka Campus has 6 major gates.
This one you posted is towards an Nru town or after Green house quarters.
Many graduate after 4-6yrs and will never pass via that gate.
(actually that's the main gate, only that the location of taxi park is towards the gate everybody now assume to be the main gate)
Most people don't know UNN main gate. When they see it,they will say its UNEC gate. grin

The gate you all Know as UNN main gate is Not the Main gate.
Any dignitary that would want to come to UNN will not follow that gate you all know.

unilag has been consistent in the top spot. talk of products-especially of recent- unilag beats unn. in corporate settings, unilag has the best collection of alumni. an average unilag grad tends to settle faster in corporate world. cc; jarus.
Employable graduates in Nigeria places covenant and UI ahead of UNN.
Any other thing you guys are saying are trash.
An Average UNILAG graduate indeed.

I don't mince words. I know who is ahead of me and who is not.

mumu interms of alumni influence and popularity, it is abu, unilag and ui. but considering all criteria that determine being the best, the follow 5 are the best of all time as per 9ja standard.
unilag
ui
oau
abu
unn..
note: unilag &ui beat unn in all means.
Even for Naija standard sef..na only UI fit pass UNN no other University.
See as you de list am like say you dn go all the universities.
Naija standard weh de biased.
We go with world ranking and any ranking will only place UI and Covenant ahead of UNN period.which means in public Universities,na only UI pass UNN.

I was comparing universities in the same country which Harvard and Columbia Universities happen to be. Both universities are mostly in top 5 in the US. UNN is obviously one of the best and prestigious universities in Nigeria and it's definitely the best in the East. That's what I meant. In terms of prestige, I believe UI, OAU, UNN, Unilag, ABU Zaria are the greatest in the country in that order. Currently Covenant is the fastest growing and might upsurge the above universities in the nearest future
I understand your point now.
But your order is not well in order.
It should be UI,UNN,others.......
I don't see in which aspect OAU would come before UNN.
OAU that has been silent in almost all rankings of recent.Let them get their shit together first.

Any day, Anytime, UNN will be ahead of OAU just the way UI will be ahead of UNN.
UI=First University in Nigeria.
UNN=First indeginous University in Nigeria.
I love these two Universities.
I am a Lion, but if i would further in Nigeria,it MUST be UI or Covenant shikena.
Others are trying but...........

UNN is really a good school, in fact it's the best in the East. But to compare it to UI is like comparing Columbia University to Harvard. UI remains the most prestigious and best university in Nigeria. It's our greatest exports outside among universities. Covenant is doing well though and if this pace continues, they may best UI in the future
UNN is one of the best in Nigeria not just SE.
I respect UI so much. But your comparison is flawed. It should be "its like comparing Oxford to Havard".

Why do you believe it was made by Harvard. Any source to prove that, or is it because the poster said it's from Harvard, so we just have to swallow that? The list is filled with so much conspicuous repetitions- Maths, Accounting, Psychology, History etc. That alone is enough to raise highbrows. I've tried a Google Search to link this back to Harvard. Is it surprising that all my searches lead me back to Nairaland and few other Nigerian blogs and websites?
You are correct. i am sorry
Education / Re: . by arinzos(m): 4:07am On Jul 23, 2019
Some of you asking how legit is this info should know
The ranking was made by Harvard University.
i bet you don't know more than Harvard.

Because some courses are unnecessarily hard in Nigeria doesn't mean it is hard in itself.some lecturers made it difficult for us.
Some departments have not graduated First Class since inception and we term the course as HARD.
If English is way above Economics or Maths is Way above Medicine shows what some courses are really made of.
I can attest to Architecture Students in the University of Nigeria,Enugu Campus. if you have one as roommate is as good as not having any roommate. because you won't see him/her in the room.they are always in the studio drawing one thing or the other.

I'm sorry brother. You're living in Eldorado. I applied UNN years ago with 273 and couldn't even smell human physiology after wasting hard earned 10k changing course while people with 180 got medicine. (I have screenshots as proof) years later I'm in a med school that is ranked probably a thousand places ahead of UNN.

That school is a joke now.
Did you Merit the admission and you were not given?
People with 180 might be from ELDs.
I know you paid that 10k thinking UNN would give you physiology.....
In UNN,If you missed Merit getting Botany or Zoology or even Agric na War sometimes.
