Look closely at the STI policy of 2011 by the federal and tell me what it say.
The Law that established the profession is what matters.Anyother policy is subject to the Law.
Morever,i didn't see anything that is contradictory to what i had said .
Oh was it bcx you saw Medical there grin

Well, when that time comes you will know if it is one policy that would help you or the Law that established your profession.

I have a bad tooth that I'm determined not to pull out even on the pain of death.

How do I managed the tooth? Simple, I just eat raw garlic close to the tooth or on the tooth itself and the pain fades away eventually within 48hrs (It might even be 12 hours but I don't actually record it). At some point, it hits me that I no longer feel any pain there.

Why does it work? Toothache is causes by pathogens and garlic has been found to be a natural antibiotic. So, next time, rather than remove that tooth in case you've already removed like half, it might be wise using garlic! grin

And did I tell you it's dirt cheap?

Your decay has nt gone deep.i was relieved intially by all these things until last month.Nothing worked again antibiotics, painkiller(would last fr 15mins).
If you have any decay or cavity go see your dentist. All these tinx you mentioned are just temporary.

Na by 6am i run enter bus go UNTH even though i had test that day(i no even send the test).the procedure was painless,it was nt as if my tooth was extracted.

If you have tooth decay whether small or Large,go see your dentist.do not procrastinate.

Hello senior Scientists in the house.
I copied this message below from MLSCN Twitter account but I don't really know it benefits to MLS, can someone explain the information better.

His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, approves the reconstitution of MLSCN Governing Board. Congratulations to all Medical Laboratory Science Practitioners in Nigeria.
@MedLabNigeria @AMLSNNational @Fmohnigeria @ErhaborTosan
I think without the Governing Board, the practice of the profession would go unchecked.those that are involved in Malpractice cannot be proscribed.
Thats my own little knowledge.

Please my only advice is that grade don't matters when it comes to university nowadays.. You might graduate with first class and still got no job.. Some first class students always believed that their grade will help them get automatic job from the university which is not true.. Just graduate, if u can invest in business invest, if u c work go do.. But if u allow first class mentality take over u, d person wey dey push wheelbarrow get future pass u
Sharap jare.....1st class can invest,1st class no de hope on only their certificate,1st class no de wait fr automatic job.
Graduate with the best result you can graduate with..shikena.
All these mumu mumu reasons why 1st class is nt d best de vex me.

Having followed this page from 1- 39.the only thing I noticed is the antagonistic behaviour of some said medical lab scientists to other profession.the way they carry the profession on their head is quite apalling
Which other profession if I may ask?
MLS is a great profession.we are proud of the profession.carrying it on our heads is the least we could do.

Please house, I'm a graduate of biochemistry and did my IT at chemical pathology lab, UCH. I want to apply to work in a chemical pathology lab of a private hospital, do I have a chance to be employed?
It Depends on the Hospital.
You are not a MLSt so you are not meant to be there.IT in chem path Lab doesn't Make you an Authority in it.you need a Licence to work as a MLS(Which you don't have).
Just try your Luck. But i know big Private Hospitals would reject you.

As a biochemistry graduate who did his IT in chemical pathology lab, UCH, can he be employed in a private hospital to work in their chemical pathology lab
It depends on the private Hospital.
Normally,You are not meant to be there.
A biochemist cannot work in the capacity of a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
There is More to Laboratory Medicine than what you think you know in the Lab because you did IT in Chem path Lab.
Just try your Luck sha.

Greatest Scientists

i want to ask, are science lab technicians, microbiologists and other related personnels who are not Medical Laboratory Scientist be able to open a laboratory? I mean laboratory for conducting tests such as malaria, typhoid, blood test, widal, etc or is it restricted to just mls graduates?

Thank you!
Only MLS has the licence and the required knowledge to conduct Laboratory investigation for diagnosis purposes.
You can float/own a Laboratory as a technician,MCB etal. But the Running and operation of the Laboratory Must be Manned by a Certified and licenced Medical Laboratory Scientist.

These days they've just reduced a PhD to mean less. I remember the days of my father when you had to school and school and read to have a master's degree, PhD meant you were a very notable academic.

But whats its worth today? Even Patience Jonathan has a PhD.
This one is Honorary na.. i don't think its equivalent to PhD.

You need to Re-read His Post and Re-Think.
All he is saying is,if Majority of parents would protest instead of Attending rallies,Maybe FG would yield to ASUU demands.

Parents Protest would be way Different from NANS or even Students.

Do you remember Eligibility 2015??....parents Protested and everything was Reversed.

JOHESU declared a strike last year, some of its members were still going to sign attendance registers that were opened by the management, mostly out of inferiority complex. Those names were taken to the minister of health and used to blackmail the labpur leaders and paralize the strike. No sanctions were meted out to such members who defied the directive of the union. It's about stamping your relevance. Do you think JOHESU members will heed the call by their leaders to proceed on another strike when the April and May salaries are still withheld?
That is ehhh, one of my Friend's Mum said they are not going on any Strike.Infact, they were not notified on any strike sef.
