Education / Re: 2016 PTDF Overseas Scholarship- Check If You Are Shortlisted For Exam by Atamo: 3:06pm On Jan 05, 2016
kokaneprodigy:

No I didn't, most UK schools don't request that as long as u are a Nigerian.
Though I had a one on one interview with the Dean of the faculty when he came to Lagos so he processed everything for me., I was privy to this detail cos I had someone studying in that faculty who arranged how I'll meet him.
Please sir, is it a research or taught programme?
And secondly, I wish to have an admission offer from them too. how can you help me secure it? send me your phone number if you wouldn't mind.

kokaneprodigy:

I don't have any of those, though I strongly believe it's because of the schools, ptdf is asking for such.
I got provisional admission without em cos UK schools are not always keen on IELTS and the likes.
Na admission offer be the koko.

Which school did you apply, and what course? Thanks

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Navy Direct Short Service Course Aspirants(dssc) 2015 by Atamo: 7:19pm On Nov 21, 2015
I didn't find my name on NN website when the list was out. I just received a text message this evening and it reads "This is to inform you that you were successful at the Nigerian Navy Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) 23 Aptitude Test held on 11 July, 2015. You are to report at Nigerian Naval College, Port Harcourt for DSSC Selection Board screening on 23 November 2015. Please check, www.joinnigeriannavy.com or www.navy.mil.ng for other details".

Please, who is in this with me? What do I do as my name is not found amongst those shortlisted on their website?

laoma4u:
All you guys requesting dragnet questions, ull neva get anything useful, yes they can help sharpen you aptitude skills but dragnet is more than that. Some peeps are regulars in the test, infact they know themselves at venues,m. It all depends on the cut off, u have to score really high in order to even have any hope of being called after this. Im not discouraging u guys but my advice is to not place too much pressure on this one test (for first time takers). Use it to learn the trade cos there will be a lot more dragnet test.. On my first dragnet test. Chevron last yr, i was so hung up on passing and depended on the "past questions". D thing change for my eye. My next was keystone earlier this yr, i was really calm and i didnt care much about passing cos i really didnt want a "bank job" i used it as a learning base. I got 64%. My next was union bank. Same aced it. To b honest, they repeated questions for those 3 exams but nobody has those questions and nobody will send you those questions... Enter sahara, dragnet changed the questions, people wept. Then agip and mobil scholarships...

Long story short.

Never rush into d verbal, its better to take 5hrs to sharpen d axe and use 2 seconds to cut d tree (for those who understand)

After verbal, give urself at least a minute and calm ur brain. Try to scope d next person's quantitative and get a clue of the numbers.. May God help u here tho... grin..

Some people find abstract really easy, some dont. If u are not one of those really creative minds, practise a lot of abstract cos some peeps easily get 100% there, u wouldnt want to be disadvantaged on d decider..

Anyways... Hope this helps

What's your advice then?

I thought I was fast enough in answering the personality assessment questions only to discover I was at the 19th minute just before I submitted. Can this affect me?
