sreamsense: Empty houses in the city? Empty houses where and where and people are still looking for houses to occupy? Stop living in delusion and stop saying what you did not confirm. Not just because you see us everywhere you go due to our large population you then assumed in your little brain that we are running away from our land. Guy, we Igbos are large in number don't be deceived because Nigerian government has been rigging our population figure. Our cities are excessively filled in their capacities. If our cities and buildings are empty as you have presumed, ask yourself then why is it that those federal roads in southeast under reconstruction are being extended to 6-8 lane roads, and why is it that even our state governors are extending our two lane roads to 4, 6 or 8 lane roads? They can't be doing these if actually the people are running away from the land but they are doing so in order to reduce traffic and accommodate the large population. 3 Likes |

Reality3080: Aba is more than 6 LGAs. What we have in the southwest is big for nothing cities littered with archaic and dilapidated houses. Northern cities are not like that, they are like southeastern and south southern cities in terms of size. Even in terms of modern buildings. 3 Likes |

SwissMass: It's not true. We Igbos have population and we are seen everywhere. Nobody is running from Aba, Aba has better infrastructures and opportunities than Ibadan. Travel to Aba and see the large population there. I personally can not live in Ibadan. It's too dirty and scary to my liking. 5 Likes |

aribisala0: Stop using this as the yardstick of your comparison. Convert all the 5 and 6 storey buildings with 2, 3 or 4 flats in Aba to down floor or one storey single flat buildings in Ibadan, Aba will be 4 times the size of Ibadan. We are building storey buildings in Igboland in order to conserve land since we have limited land. You will be surprised to see that Aba city will have population than Ibadan if proper and genuine census is counted. 6 Likes |

JonOfAustrlia: Deltans are not one people. So which particular people are you referring to? Is it the Igbos, the Urhobos, the Itsekiris or the ijaws? What I know is that the Urhobos are very stingy and can yap a lot, the itsekiris talk and shout a lot, the ikas are stingy and cunning while the other Igbos behave like the Igbos across the Niger. |

IDeyNL:nobody is trying to force any tribe to be Igbo. There are many igbos in hidden in many states in south south and northcentral. I was surprised when an Igbo woman from Kogi state told me in sokoto that after southeast, Rivers and delta states that kogi is the next state that has Large number of Igbo communities starting from the boundaries between the state and Anambra and Enugu to the Idah in the heart of Kogi state. The Igbos there are larger than those in Benue and Cross-river state. They are also distributed to other parts of the state. So some of these states where Igbos are found are the ones forcing themselves to and claiming our people because they dont want a bit of their state population and land to be returned to igbos in southeast. Below is the rank of Igbos in various states based on population: 1. Anambra state 2. Imo state 3. Enugu state 4. Abia state 5. Ebonyi state 6. Rivers state 7. Delta state 8. Kogi state 9. Benue state 10. Cross river state 11. Bayelsa state 12. Akwa ibom state 13. Edo state. 2 Likes |

goatgoat093: You are right in your writeup, but I have some few areas to correct. Ndoki/asa clan of Igbo cut across 3 states of Abia, Rivers and Akwa ibom. In Abia, they occupy Ukwa east and west LGAs, in Akwa ibom, they are found in Ikot Abasi, and in Rivers state, they occupy Obigbo, some parts of Omuma and Eleme, distributed in many parts of Okirika and are the major indigenous occupants of Opobo and Bonny. So the ijaws who have been trying to claim the outright owners of Opobo and Bonny for many decades want to claim them so as to have the outright ownership of Opobo and Bonny. They know it will not be possible for them to cut the ties between the Ndokis of Opobo and Bonny and the rest in Obigbo and Abia so they started the move to re-write their history and tell them how they (ijaws) and Ndokis migrated and lived together but were influenced by Igbos. The ijaws has been known since time immemorial to be landgrabbers. They don't grab only land, they claim both land and the people. I know you were surprised to hear him mentioned Abia and Imo. These people are success attachees. Haven't you heard them claiming some part of Anambra state? There are 3 things that normally attract them: 1. Presence of oil deposits 2. Closeness to Niger river, Orashi river, Imo river or any form of creek 3. Having serious development and prominent cities like portharcourt, Bonny, Opobo, Aba, Obigbo, Warri, Onitsha, Owerri or Benin. They only states they are not laying claim to in south south and southeast are Enugu, Ebonyi and cross river because of their distance. 4 Likes |

EdoDefence:Who are the warrior ijaw? Guy go and read history. Many helmet tribes are talking to Igbo anyhow because we lost the civil war, even today can you have the gut to confront any Igbo man face to face? Ijaw is not an ethnic group, have you seen any ethnic group that has more than 400 different languages. Ijaw is a recent ethnic group from Sierra Leone who are occupying land rejected and abandoned by Igbos and Ibibios. Most of their communities today are still bearing Igbo ancient names like AMADI ama, NDUBUISI ama, OKORO ama, KALANSU ama etc. The slavery trade did in the bight of Biafra was done among and between the Igbos and Ibibios, ijaws were not in the picture. The Igbo slaves became a lucrative venture because of their high demand by the whites due to their strength, intelligence and fair colour. The merchants of the trade were Aros, Abam, Abiriba, Ngwa, Ibibio and Ndoki. The Aros, Abams and Ndokis still have many communities distributed all over the land being occupied by ijaws today. Ijaws connived with the federal government to ban teaching of history in schools. Traditionally, ijaw does not have any land, they used to leave on top of water with their thatch houses. The Aros had no interest in ijaws because they were the least demanded. 2 Likes |

AdakaBoro8: Igbo account for 95% of the population in south east, 30 - 40 of the population in south south and 15 - 20% of the population outside south east and south south. Mind you most Nigerians especially the north don't like being counted outside their land except the Igbos who feel free to be counted anywhere. |

EdoDefence: Hausa-Fulani are not marginalizing the Igbos just that there is a gang up against the Igbos to subdue them politically. Igbos can not win election in Nigeria without the help of other tribes who have been brainwashed to hate the Igbos and how Igbos will convert them to slaves if they are allowed to rule. |

PHijo: This has shown that you are not even from South if you can claim that you don't know about ijaw fight with Ikwerre, Itsekiri in Warri that was popular and Ilaje of Ondo. I pity the ijaws that have allowed you to be creating more enemity for them. As for ikwerre, it's only 40% of them that are denying their Igbo identity and this was as a result of the Igbos losing the civil war. Whenever you see one Wike, you see five Amaechi. Those that deny Igbo identity can subject themselves for DNA test. |
