I have worked in the oil and gas sector all my post-NYSC career of over 8 years. I think what the OP said is largely true.

A number of points I want to make

1, There is tendency to be ostentatious among oil and gas workers to live up to societal expectation of "oyel" worker. But personal discipline makes a difference. I have a junior colleague that was earning less than me and living in a 2.5m rented apartment in Lekki Phase 1, while I lived in a 500k per annum house in inner Ajah while doing projects.Although we can argue these are personal choices, convenience comparison etc. Unfortunately, the friend was affected by a recent job cut.

2, There is pressure from friends and family, but this is the case for every working person irrespective of sector. In fact, maybe bankers even have more pressure (well, until recently).

3, Banks chase you with personal loans because they know you have a means to pay back.

4, Many oil and gas worker feel too arrogant to engage in side businesses. I spent the first 6 years of my career having that mentality too. It was only recently that I converted. Despite earning a seven digit figure per month, I run 2 small businesses (career consulting and a barbing salon), whose combined annual turnover is less than my 2 months salary. But I know I have something by the side.

Many oil workers "pity" me. A colleague, an HR person that knows my pay, reading my personal text (on my career consulting) saw where I sent sms to someone to pay 3k for CV review service and was shocked. She doesn't know what the little drops from side business can do.

Overall, I think if you get a good job in an oil and gas company, especially upstream, with proper discipline, you can do wonders with your life in few years. To God be the glory, in just 8 years of work, I'm a proud owner of 2 houses.

You can visit a centre(not a mosque) in Lagos to get Ruqyah performed on you by a good muslim brother in Agege.You can call him on phone to discuss your issues 08053341017,08063786757.
The centre is used for exorcism ranging from spiritual wife/husband,possession,black magic etc which i have witnessed myself.

I've been on a particular spiritual battle for years now,I've done my best to get this demon out of me by prayers and deliverance but it keep failing

Someone said I should try out muslim that they are good in exorcism,my problem now is,can a non muslim walk into mosque to see imam or anybody in charge and explain his problem?

Will he give a listening ear ?
If he did,can he help to exorcise the jinn out of the person

Next a man whom Allah had made affluent and to whom Allah had given plenty of wealth, will be brought forward, Allah will remind him of the favours He had bestowed upon him and the man will acknowledge them. He will ask him: `What did you do to express gratitude for it?’ The man will reply: `I did not neglect any of the ways You liked wealth to be spend liberally for Your sake’. Allah will say to him: `You have lied. You did it so that people might call you generous, and they have done so.’ Command will then be issued about him and he will be dragged on his face and thrown into Hell.”

Sujood ash-Shukr is a prostration which is done for Allaah, in order to show thanks and gratitude to Him for a specific blessing.

It comprises of one prostration, and none of the preconditions needed for prayer are stipulated for it. So it is like sujood at-tilaawah, they both have the same ruling. Neither of them have a precondition such as being in a state of purification, facing the qiblah, making the takbeer, making the tasleem, and so on. Rather, if he is surprised by some blessing, he prostrates immediately the way he is and praises Allaah with whatever (words) he can for that blessing that He gave him, out of thanks to Him.

Any Ikwerre man that says he is not Igbo is a victim of 'divide and rule".

Ikwerre dialect is even more closer than some Igbo dialects. When a typical Ohafia/Igbere man speaks his own dialect, I hardly understand them at all.

Is ikwerre not in Rivers state?i am thinking that is where Rotimi Amaechi comes from!
