Abu Lahab freed her, and then she nursed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So when Abu Lahab died [in disbelief], he was shown to someone in his family [in a dream] in the most wretched of conditions, and [that relative – they say it was ‘Abbas] said to him: ‘What did you find [after death]?’ So Abu Lahab replied, ‘I didn’t find [any rest] since I left you all, except that I was given to drink *this little amount* because of my freeing Thuwayba.'” [al-Bukhari, Saheeh] On the day the Prophet (peace be upon him) was born, Thuwayba rushed to her master Abu Lahab in joy and said, “Have you heard?! Aminah has just given birth to a son, for your brother Abdullah!” As was the custom of Arabs to show generosity at receiving good news, and since this was the newborn son (peace be upon him) of his recently deceased brother, Abu Lahab gestured with his thumb and forefinger, saying to Thuwayba, “Go, for you are free.” For this, his punishment in the Hereafter is lessened by a small sip of water equal to what could be held in the small curve of flesh at the base of the thumb till the forefinger [‘Abdur-Razzaq, Mussanaf] 5....the weaks and the arrogants on the day of resurrection. (And when you have embarked on the ship, you and whoever is with you, then say: `All the praise be to Allah, Who has saved us from the people who are wrongdoers.') This is like the Ayah: ﴿وَالَّذِى خَلَقَ الأَزْوَجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِّنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالاٌّنْعَـمِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ - لِتَسْتَوُواْ عَلَى ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُواْ نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُواْ سُبْحَـنَ الَّذِى سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَـذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ - وَإِنَّآ إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ ﴾ (and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride: In order that you may mount on their backs, and then may remember the favor of your Lord when you mount thereon, and say: "Glory to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our efforts). And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return!'') ﴿43:12-14﴾ So, certainly, Nuh adhered to what he was commanded, as Allah says elsewhere: ﴿وَقَالَ ارْكَبُواْ فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ مَجْرَاهَا وَمُرْسَاهَا﴾ (And he said: "Embark therein: in the Name of Allah will be its (moving) course and its (resting) anchorage...'')﴿11:41﴾ So Nuh mentioned Allah at the beginning of his journey and at the end, and Allah said: ﴿وَقُل رَّبِّ أَنزِلْنِى مُنزَلاً مُّبَارَكاً وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنزِلِينَ ﴾ (And say: `My Lord! Cause me to land at a blessed landing place, for You are the Best of those who bring to land.'') ﴿إِنَّ فِى ذلِكَ لأيَـتٍ﴾ (Verily in this, there are indeed Ayat,) means in this event, which is the saving of the believers and the destruction of the disbelievers there are signs, i.e., clear evidence and proof that the Prophets speak the truth in the Message they bring from Allah, may He be exalted, and that Allah does what He wills, and He is able to do all things and knows all things. ﴿وَإِن كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ﴾ (for sure We are ever putting (men) to the test.) means, `We try Our servants by means of sending the Messengers.' ﴿ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْناً ءَاخَرِينَ - فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولاً مِّنْهُمْ أَنِ اعْبُدُواْ اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِّنْ إِلَـهٍ غَيْرُهُ أَفَلاَ تَتَّقُونَ - وَقَالَ الْمَلأ مِن قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَآءِ الاٌّخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَـهُمْ فِى الْحَيـوةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا هَـذَا إِلاَّ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ - وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُمْ بَشَراً مِّثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذاً لَّخَـسِرُونَ - أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتٌّمْ وَكُنتُمْ تُرَاباً وَعِظـماً أَنَّكُمْ مُّخْرَجُونَ - هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ - إِنْ هِىَ إِلاَّ حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ - إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ رَجُلٌ افتَرَى عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِباً وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِى بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ نَـدِمِينَ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَـهُمْ غُثَآءً فَبُعْداً لِّلْقَوْمِ الظَّـلِمِينَ ﴾ (31. Then, after them, We created another generation.) (32. And We sent to them a Messenger from among themselves (saying): "Worship Allah! You have no other God but Him. Will you not then have Taqwa'') (33. And the chiefs of his people who disbelieved and denied the meeting in the Hereafter, and whom We had given the luxuries and comforts of worldly life, said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that which you eat, and drinks of what you drink.'') (34. "If you were to obey a human being like yourselves, then verily, you indeed would be losers.'') (35. "Does he promise you that when you have died and have become dust and bones, you shall come out alive'') (36. "Far, very far is that which you are promised!'') (37. "There is nothing but our life of this world! We die and we live! And we are not going to be resurrected!'') (38. "He is only a man who has invented a lie against Allah, and we are not going to believe in him.'') (39. He said: "O my Lord! Help me because they deny me.'') (40. (Allah) said: "In a little while, they are sure to be regretful.'') (41. So, the Sayhah overtook them in truth, and We made them as rubbish of dead plants. I said, 'The afflictions caused for a man by his wife, money, children and neighbor are expiated by his prayers, fasting, charity and by enjoining (what is good) and forbidding (what is evil).' `Umar said, 'I did not mean that but I asked about that affliction which will spread like the waves of the sea.' I (Hudhaifa) said, 'O leader of the faithful believers! You need not be afraid of it as there is a closed door between you and it.' `Umar asked, Will the door be broken or opened?' I replied, 'It will be broken.' `Umar said, 'Then it will never be closed again.' I was asked whether `Umar knew that door. I replied that he knew it as one knows that there will be night before the tomorrow morning. I narrated a Hadith that was free from any misstatement" The subnarrator added that they deputized Masruq to ask Hudhaifa (about the door). Hudhaifa said, "The door was `Umar himself." 1 Like |

Sissie: You are unsure of the number of rakaats ones prayed. How would we go about correcting it? You have to choose/assume the lesser of the two you are doubting about,then complete it.Sit for tashahhud,then perform two prostrations(prostration of forgetfulness (sujood ul-sahw))before saying salamah.The evidence is in this hadith below: Abu Sa’eed Al-Khudri, may Allaah be pleased with him said: the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "If any of you doubts during his prayer and he does not know how many [raka’aat] he has prayed, whether it is three or four, then he should discard and cast away his doubt. He is to continue upon what one is sure of [i.e. the lesser] then perform two prostrations before making tasleem. If he ends up [in reality] praying five [raka’aat], then his prayer will be an intercession for him; and if he ends up completely the [requisite] four [raka’aat] then it is targheeman for shaytaan." (targheeman: i.e., a way of vexing Satan and humiliating and debasing him, as well as rejecting him as a result of his failure to achieve his desire of disturbing the worshipper.) (Al-Nawawi in explaining the hadeeth from Sahih Muslim, 5/60). Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم said Whoever takes an oath by al-Amaanah (the trust), then he is not from us. What does this mean? Al-amaanah(Amanah is one of the Commandments of Allah and an obligation prescribed by Him) is very essential in islam and because of this,we are not allowed to swear by it rather,we must only swear directly to our creator -Allah(s.w.t). The Supplication; اللَهُمَ صَوِّبهُ و أصِبْ بِهِ و أكْفِنا شَرَهُ (O Allah aim it at him, and hit him, and suffice us from his evil). 3) is for when? 4) state an ayah of the Quran that supports the supplication ***It is supplicated when you see a shooting star falling **** And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps (Soorah Al Mulk 67:5) And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush. (Soorah Al Jinn 72:9) Except one who snatches away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. (Soorah As-Saffat 37:10) Which was that Surah of the Qur’an which the Prophet Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) had recited when one of his enemies Utba after listening to it fell in Sajda (prostation)? The Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) entered upon her and she was weeping so he said, ‘What happened?!’ She said, ‘Hafsah said regarding me, ‘Verily, you are a daughter of a Jew!’’ So, the Messenger of Allaah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said to her, ‘You are the daughter of a prophet, your uncle was a prophet and you are (married) with a prophet. So for what was she boasting over you?’ Then he (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said, ‘Have taqwa of Allaah (Fear Allaah) O’ Hafsah’” [Source: Ahmad 3/135-136, at-tirmidhi 5/709 (no. 3894), Ibn Hibban 16/193 (no. 7211), Nisaa’i in “al-Kubra” 5/291 (no. 8919), at-tabaraani in “al-Kabeer” 24/70 (no. 186), Hilyatul ‘Awliya 2/55 and many others.] [This hadeeth is authentic. It has been determined to be authentic by Shaykh al-Albaani (رحمه الله تعالى) in Saheeh wa Da’eef Sunan al-Tirmidhi (3894) and al-Mishkaat (6183).] 5)It is Uthman ibn Affan (RA) according to this hadith: Sayyidah Aisha (RA) reported that the Prophet (salallaho alaihi wasalam) said (to Uthman), “O Uthman perhaps Allah may clothe you with a shirt.
