SKIBiNSKI:
Not nercerssarily, people has every right to get married in secret there are no laws in America that forbids couples from getting married in secret, many celebrities got married in secret, also just because the marriage was made public doesn't mean it could not be a sham marriage. Why did they not get married in America? You sound as if you know the couple personally. undecided

Obviously you don't know much about Residency/Citizenship by marriage in America, for an American Citizen to file for a foreign spouse green card, the marriage must be done outside the territory of the US, that's why they usually do such marriages in Nigeria.

For the woman to leave America and come all the way to Africa and marry is enough evidence for the VO to grant the young man's green card, like I said this is happening all the time, nothing new cheesy cheesy cheesy

Even International students file for their spouse and kids to join them let alone a bonafide citizen of America, common grin grin grin

Perhaps, and if they discover that she has being coerced or manipulated, they will not issue residency, there have being many cases of false/arranged marriages to obtain citizenship Which was eventually found out right?

Sham marriages are usually done in secret, for the couple to make their marriage public usually means there's nothing illegal about it, they have nothing to hide, forget it 🙂🙂🙂 the guy don Japa.

Did you know that the American government can interfere into an individual's life, like refuse them what ever they request if they feel that the individual is not in the right state of mind, the government have the duty to make sure that the woman consented to the marriage while in the right state of mind. Is the duty of the government to make sure that the old woman do not suffer from dementia or was not manipulated into the marriage. Not everything that you have the right to is given to you. Believe it or not, i know.

We are saying the same thing, the government will discover that she wasn't coerced or manipulated into the marriage and eventually grant the guy residency/citizenship smiley smiley smiley
This has been happening for many decades, nothing new.
Romance / Re: Nigerian Man Weds 70-Year-Old White Woman by babakb: 7:03pm On Apr 19, 2023
SKIBiNSKI:
That is what you think, he will not get any green card/passport. I can guarantee you that.

It's like you don't know how Residency/Citizenship by marriage works, its not the guy that will apply, it's the woman that will apply on his behalf, it's her fundamental right to marry anyone she wish to marry in the world as long as they're not terrorists.

She will sue the government for denying her application to grant her husband residency and citizenship rights to live with her in her county.

SKIBiNSKI:
Eeeewwww!! What kinda crap is this? Ehn? embarassed if that guy thinks he will get whatever country's passport of citizenship the woman is from, then he needs to think again, he must think the people issuing the passport are stupeed, they will scrutinize him, make him wait forever, the old woman might even kick the bucket while he is still waiting for the citizenship.

It is clear the guy has an ulterior motive, if he is not careful he might be accussed of raping, taking advantage of or even murdering the old woman. It is clearly obvious.

Nobody can deny him the passport, the guy don Japa already wink wink wink

If he is doing this for green card he is wasting his time. Because this is obvious marriage fraud and you can't fool no visa officer not especially an American visa officer with this sham marriage.

He has no business with the visa officer sef, his granny wife will file for his green card which will eventually lead to citizenship.

You guys don't know how easy and sweet it is to Japa through marriage, if I wasn't married I would definitely opt for this option, find me a lonely UK, Canadian, American or German granny and wife her azzz grin grin grin

Oh, cool.

I live in benin, if you have any questions just ask.

Be sure to respect the locals and their language, nigerians tend to have a bad reputation for coming here and acting like it's their backyard.

Guy, I have some questions:

Is french widely spoken in Benin? I want to come for an Immersion course in french there and I want to interact with only french speaking people.

What is the cost of a decent Sefcon in Cotonou?

Hello nairalanders.

I need your opinion. I applied to schools in the UK and France and I was lucky to get offers in Paris and Lille (France). I also got several admissions in the UK mainly in London, Manchester, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The schools in France are quite cost effective as compared to the UK, despite having a partial scholarship. However, I am concerned about living expenses in France most especially in Paris. And I also intend to stay back after my schooling. I want to know which country is better in terms of livability, jobs, accommodation etc.

If you're ready to learn french to advance level then France is better because it's in the Shengen, but if you know you won't take the french language serious then Jejely go to the UK grin grin grin

Are u saying I mustn't be a citizen before I can buy a property like it is in Nigeria where u are allowed to get a Nigerian partner before u can buy a land?

No, I said residence permit, not citizenship.

Go into Cote D'Ivoire with your Nigerian Passport, then go to their Police station and apply for residence permit which can be for 6 months to 2 years and it's renewable.

With your residence permit you can Open a bank account, Open a business, study, work, buy land and any other property, apply for Visa to other countries from there, even Marry if you like cheesy cheesy grin

You don't need to partner with any body to do all these.

You can only buy land and build if you have your residence permit, Getting the residence permit is not difficult.

My brother don't allow anybody to deceive you as per as you have your ECOWAS passport and you entered through the right channel, it will be stamped for you at the border, you don't need any resident permit.

Yes if he is not staying above 90 days, the ECOWAS agreement allows you to stay for 90 days free in Cote D'Ivoire.

But you need a residence permit if you intend to stay longer than 90 days.

Are difference between Resident Permit and Resident Card?
I'm in need of Ivory Coast resident Permit but I'm confused about resident card and resident Permit, I need the one that is valid for 5 years

Residence permit and Residence card are the same thing.

The card must not be for 5 years straight, you can keep renewing it.

Why's she waiting for the travel arrangements from the company

She will work things out when she get there

This is 2023 and visa will expire in 2024

Valid point, I don't think she's desperate to Japa!!!

If I secure a Canadian work permit now, I will source for money and fly out by myself...

Habaa, the one month notice don't mean shiit, the worst that can happen is that she forfeits a month's salary.

So whenever her Canadian employers come calling, she should just resign and fly out.

Its funny and weird that Ronaldo had spent all his carrier trying to catch up with Messi, be it individual accolades and the rest u can think of.

As if that isn't enough, Mbappe is facing the same fate as his idol Ronaldo.
At Mbappe's 23yrs of age, Messi had already won 2 Ballon d'or's. But its a shame Messi will be turning 36 next year, and Mbappe won't still win it, because Messi's 8th Ballon d'or is already loading come next year.

This is what really worried Mbappe yesterday.

Anyways his future is bright, and by now he is far more better than his idol Ronaldo statistically and otherwise.

Hmmm, Ronaldo has really tormented you for many years, stop wailing already, Mbappe won the world cup before Messi so no big deal cheesy cheesy cheesy

Even at CR7's lowest you're are still wailing, na waa oohh.

If you read through the comments above ...they warned about expectations. Now here you are .... as an introvert.... expecting your interactions at work and school to be the same as in Nigeria ... enough for your mental health. What will happen when you go and discover it is not? ... don't you think it will affect your mental health? ... and you will join the queue complaining about lonliness?

You have a point but I don't even need to interact with people around me to maintain my mental health, there are a lot of resources on line to keep me private and busy smiley smiley smiley

I don't even have any high expectations, I only want to go into Canada as a PR, do my time and obtain the Canadian Passport cool cool cool

As an introvert you don't start conversations, try to end conversations abruptly, first dates are disasters, and so on.

You're an introvert here but I'm sure you've still got friends. You can't avoid it and you kinda underrate the effect those friends have on on your mental health.

Good luck developing these types of relationships as an introvert in Canada. You'll find out you can go a year without having any real deep conversation with anyone. No way that doesn't affect your mental health.

You probably haven't met an introvert yet, my interactions with others at work place and in school is enough for my mental health, I will relax at home and watch EPL, UCL, WWE, Movies etc

How can someone get their passport?

It's a very long process, prove that you were born there or you have lived there legally for 5 years, fluent in french and have means of livelihood.

If you were not born there, you have to Go into the country with your Nigerian passport, get your residence permit, open a small business or marry their citizen and start counting your 5 years and learn french, this is the only genuine way, any other way is fraudulent.

I can't wait to find my self in Canada, I so much like the loneliness part because I'm an introvert, and about upskilling? Even though I'm 38 years now immediately I find myself in Canada as a PR I would enroll into a University to study Computer Science.

I'm patiently learning French to boost my CRS and saving up money for POF.

Please is it possible for a Benin Republic passport holder to travel to SA visa free? Do you know anyone that has travelled like that before?

As long as it's a genuine Beninise Passport you have nothing to fear, The Visa free agreements between countries is very well respected, But please don't exceed your stay, with a Beninise Passport you have Visa Free stay of 30 days in South Africa but if you intend to stay longer you have to apply for the standard 90 days tourist visa. The same rule apply to other countries that offer Visa Free Access to Beninise Passport like Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Tunisia, Morroco, Mauritius, Sychelles, Sierra Leone, etc.

One again, don't abuse the Visa free privilege, enter South Africa visa free, before the the expiration of the 30 days apply for a longer stay visa.

For those in doubt of the above information, Benin Republic, Cape Verde and Ghana have the strongest Passport in the whole of West Africa.
