in ibibio land boy boy are superior than their masters just a bunch of mentally inferior people please do not add your story or language to efik language

the efiks are Ok and proud of their history, language, culture and everything else and do not need ibibio or anyone else and you could live in calabar and learn to speak efik a superior language after all the ibibios no longer like their names like udoeyop, nwa, inibong, ofonmbuk, udofia, apkandem, ekpu (rat) for the more prestigious efik names like archibong, eyo, arit, asari, asandia, ekeng, ansa, andem, afi etc

in culture, you have changed your dressing mode from ibibio to efik and have also now borrowed the efik marriage tradition including the lavish efik ceremonies and costume and who would not after all na who no like better thing

well, a superior people do not discard their culture for another man's culture but inferior ones do and efik does not want anything out of Ibibio culture because it has a superior culture from her cuisines afang, afia efere, edikangikong, abak (banga soup), to her legendary sense of cleanliness to their genteel manner and welcoming ways

I just met an ibibio woman who confessed that efik language is just so romantic and her language not too pleasing to the ears and annoying. now I know why you people want to discard your language for efik

God forbid

efikproper

Lol, stupid superior names, names of slaves. Inferiority complex will kill you. Where did you dream that up? We use efik women and dump them because they are who they are -descendants of slaves, good for nothing ashawos. The efik aware are of their lowly state are very frustrated and are always desperate to look for whom yo vent up their frustration. Sorry the ibibios are not your mates. Go and look for your diick comparing competition with the efuts and quas. As far the ibibio people are concerned you are nothing but slaves and descendants of slaves.Nothing can change that. We the Freeborn will always show you the way.

@babaTony,
if you consider boy boy and housekeeping work as being industrious eh after all there is dignity in labor but I just wished the ibibios and akwa ibomites would stop claiming to be from calabar as they have tarnished the good image of the calabar heritage and custom

for the record, most of the boy boys and housekeepers as well as kidnappers and ama uke are from ibibio and or akwa ibom people and not from calabar

and efik man would rather die or drink is kai kai as you said than be an indentured servant. the efiks are just too proud for that kind of work and meanwhile how come you cannot do your industrious work in akwa ibom and stop being boy boy and housekeepers all over nigeria

please stop dragging calabar name into ibibio story and history the efik man is no one boy boy and or housekeeper but the ibibios are and that is why we do not want your story in our story because like I said before the ibibio and efik story are completely different it is that of a master/servant relationship if you should know and that is putting it mildly

efik ete ka afia ebot imaha ndek, owo ke uda ndek iyet ebot i.e a white goat does not like dirt and no one should get it dirty

cheers

Even an ibibio houseboy is superior to you. Don't you get that? Lol. Im not even talking about the ibibio master. An ibibio houseboy is better than you. Go and take care of those efik street urchins and riff-raffs in calabar south disturbing the peace.

who cares about oil and or oil wealth and what exactly has the oil wealth done for ak and or nigeria for that matter? the fact remains that most the niger delta is still very poor comparatively and akwa ibom more so as it is not even as industrialized as cross river state with mega multi billion industries as the General Electric Manufacturing Plant, the almost 2 billion dollars Unicem cement plant, dangote cement, the over 70 assorted group of industries in the Calabar free trade zone cftz, the multi billion dollar Summit Hills development which includes the the calabar international conference center, the almost 300 million dollars Calabar international golf course, the calabar specialist hospital, mono rail, the golf estate residential neighborhood, and on and on and on http://www.conventioncentrecalabar.com/

Akwa ibom on the other hand has been a big disappointment as all you people do there is steal from the monthly allocations with only a few roads and bridges to show for the huge allocations you received from fgn to the detriment of other states. akwa ibomites are still relatively poor and I wonder what you all would do if cross river state were to send all ibibio people in its state civil service home as was done by abia or imo state sending some non indigenes home

please oil money is nothing if not well managed and akwa ibom and nigeria are case study in foolishness and waste and we are no mad about no stupid oil wells which are mostly owned by non niger deltans but in Ibibio not trying to hijack our history, culture and tradition as the ibibios are notoriously crafty.

the ibibios cannot even to stay in your so called "wealthy state" and are all over calabar because it is just that damn good

cheers,

Now you are talking. Come out plain and play politics and don't hide under denying your history to play it. Taking about industries, lol I laugh! Efiks are all over calabar drinking kaikai while the proud and industrious ibibios who have given a good account of themselves by building the right infrastructure to support the massive industrialization taking place in the state are as usual taking up prime positions in the few industries other nigerians ibibio inclusive have built! How many of those industries are efik people owners or are even working there? Oh i forgot your pre occupation is to drink kai kai. That waste pipe tinapa is there yet as usual you have gone ahead to build a silly convention center that will soon lie in ruins facing the already ruined tinapa. You are so envious of the successes made by Akwa ibom thats why you are spilling all this hate on nairaland. We are superior to you and you cant change that!oh I forgot the akwa ibom seaport is coming up soon just like the airport, stadium etc and calabar will be forgotten for good. Silly poor politician!

See why you should have studied in school instead of buying grades and most of you young people do not know much about anything this days. The obongship predates nigeria and the coming of the british to nigeria and we have a system of government which the white man said was organized, democratic and as sophisticated as their own anchored by the great Ekpe society that ibibio are not allowed to be initiated into because it is only meant for pure blooded efik, efut, ibo, and abakpa or qua people

there was a calabar empire that stretches from the shore of the calabar river to the whole of ibibio land and up to some parts of iboland in nigeria and bakassi and fernando po or panya in cameroun and present day equatorial guinea. Please when next you have the opportunity to go to school do not give anybody any money if s/he would not teach you anything because a mind is a terrible thing to waste and sorting has only succeeded in producing intellectually inferior citizens. Please read about the old calabar empire or kingdom below as a recorded history of yore not the new day concocted lies by way of ibibio history some of you are peddling on the internet

Lol, efik empire stretching through ibibio land to igbo land. Other empires in the world leave their languages behind but your concocted efik empire forgot to leave anything behind. Fraudsters like you should be jailed. Thank God social media is there for you because if you say this rubbish you are vomiting here even on the streets of calabar you will surely be lynched! I have told you get more education it will help before coming to talk to me. What concerns ibibio with ekpe when there is ekong, akata, ekpo etc. I have told you times without number, efik was known just because the British made calabar their slave and administrative hq, where they sold you people out with careless abandon. So mr slave proper, keep your slave mmentality to yourself and don't try infecting the PROUD AND GREAT IBIBIO PEOPLE.

You guys should just come out plain and play politics. Mr efik proper your case is that of oil wells, we know so relax yourself. Oil will not flow forever but history has been made already and nothing can change it-not fake websites or lists. As for thre oron man, state creation na beans? Do you think creating a state will solve your problems? Politics is about negotiations and not empty rants on social media, my advice for you is to reach out to those you hate so much and strike a deal. You need their support to get what you want even if its a state!
Culture / Re: Names Of Animal In Efik/ibibio by BabaTony: 2:21am On Jul 27, 2015
Efik proper is so desperate to churn out lies of his very existence just to deny that Ibibio people are their forebearers. He has even foolishly mentioned efik empire (do you know the meaning of empire at all?), do you think cooking up a fake list of so called kings will impress anybody? Efik people only understood the word king after the visit of the British. The ibibio people whom you descended from run a Republican system of government, you had house head (Called obong ufok), then village heads (obong idung or obio) then finally clan Heads (obong ekpuk), decisions were taken as a group. There was nothing like kings ooooo. Kingship was imported by the British around 1800s in order to replicate their system and deceive idiots like you to believe you are important. So mr proper you can keep your fake list and go back and read the history of the ibibio people written by well known European anthropologist who weren't biased like you and you will clearly see that you are a lost soul looking for straws to hang on to achieve some very cheap political goals. Unfortunately people like me are always available to burst your bubble! You and your co travellers have failed! Have you asked yourself why the obong of calabar (the title is obong not edidem of calabar) has to be knocked by the chiefs of uruan (ibibio) before he can be made the obong. Go and read more and stop messing up nairaland with your infantile propositions.

Only a slave can talk like this. No matter how much you deny it. History cannot be changed. Efik are slaves and inferior slugs to the ibibio. Ibibio people will continue trashing your asssess till you get some sense into your empty skull.

I know you are a proud ibibio man so much so that you are trying to sneak your God given language into another man's language through the back door. The ibibio is where all other languages came from in the crs/aks axis? I think not as in your state you have so many dialects like ibibio, anang, ekit, oron, andoni, etc. and oron man speaks efik more and no ibibio at all because ewang in oron was one of the 3 original efik settlements in the area namely calabar (atakpa), creek town (iboku) and ewang in the present day oron in aks. so, that is why some of them in oron claim efik and correctly so.

the efiks have no variation of the efik language in crs but we do have the ejaghams and quas which are also spoken in Cross River State and in Cameroun.

I do not know what the ibibios run in crs as you have not been running much as the majority in your state in the last eight years when akpabio and anang man turned you all into second class citizens in ak

I think if you look critically at what am saying may be you will see the wisdom in the point am making after all the bible even say that
God Bless the Child that has his own!

be nice...

cheers,
efikproper

LOL, you crack me up mr efikproper, so when a governor is from one ethnic group, the other ethnic groups become slaves- you see your mentality?i'm very sorry for you. so Imoke made you a slave in the past 8 years too? you need deliverance. Ok so the annangs and oron, etc are now the new slaves since the current governor is Ibibio by your understanding. I rather think you are the desperate one looking for attachment with the oron people trying to force them into claiming efik. what is wrong with a language having a variation? languages over the world have variations (e.g.English-american, Scots, Irish, welsh), even in nigeria, languages have variations, so if you feel efik has no variation it means the language is not mature enough to have one. As for running things, let me educate you since you feign ignorance, majority of businesses are owned by ibibio people in calabar-when the two states were together, governors who made impact were governors from present day Akwa ibom, your stadium is boldly named after an Ibibio man you so hate- UJ Esuene, so Mr Proper, next time mind how you rush into maligning people, learn to respect your neighbours. You cleverly dodged the question of counting one to hundred in both efik and ibibio for all to see the difference you so much shout about.
Culture / Re: Names Of Animal In Efik/ibibio by BabaTony: 2:10am On Jul 24, 2015

There is nothing like Efik/Ibibio language but there is pure efik language and the efik holy bible and hymn book was translated from the english language in 1847 or thereabout as a complete language while all attempts to come up with ibibio version was unsuccessful since the ibibio language is an incomplete language and borrowed heavily from efik language mainly spoken by efik people of Calabar, Cross River State and efik settlements in Oron and Uruan in Akwa Ibom, Abriba etc in Iboland and parts of Cameroun.

The Efik/Ibibio language movement is a desperate attempt by the Ibibios to promote their dialect which is a subset of the Efik language and just like anang which is also widely spoken in Akwa Ibom and a variation of the Ibibio dialect.

It would have been better for the ibibios to try to promote their own language or dialect rather than trying to hijack the Efik language and insert their dialects into it since the efik language dictionary, efik versions of the holy Bible and Hymn book are already written and or archived and most importantly the so-called Efik/Ibibio nonsense is not supported by Efik people or the palace of the Obong of Calabar the custodian of Efik culture and traditions.

It is mainly a concoction of Akwa Ibom people especially the Ibibios and just like the Anang and Oron people of Akwa Ibom would not come up with some unsupported or unsolicited addition of their dialects to another tribe's language or would they for that matter allow the Ibibio language to be integrated into theirs so would Efik people of Calabar would not allow the alteration of their language by the Ibibios or anyone else.

The Ibibios should look elsewhere or try to promote their own as some of us do not speak Ibibio..

Cheers,
Efikproper

SHAAAAARAP THAT STINKING MOUTH OF YOURS!

Typical calabar man! Selfish. Who the hell wants to speak Efik? The Ibibio language is where all other languages around akwa-ibom/cross river axis including your efik language split from. We the ibibios gave you that name. So what the hell are you chest beating around here for? The only reason efik language was used for documentation was because back then calabar was an administrative capital for the British so it needed to communicate with its direct hosts! PERIOD! By the way is there any difference between 1 to 100 in efik and ibibio, annang, oron? I think your silly contribution here is more of politics than facts. We run things even in Calabar so don't hate. The Ibibio don't need any attachments from anywhere to exist. WE ARE PROUDLY IBIBIO.GO AND DIE IF YOU CANT TAKE THAT!

My check light has been coming on for sometime now. I suspect some technician must have disabled it. Scanning yes I did- but i wasnt around when it was done and the guy who did the scanning was the one who identified the IACV issue and cleaned it. Other ideas?
Car Talk / Re: Automatic Transmission And Gear Repairs In Nigeria by BabaTony: 3:10pm On Jul 14, 2015
I noticed that my car (Honda Accord 1998-“baby boy”)of late losses RPM suddenly despite my pressing of the acceleration pedal when on a journey but i get the engine power back if I really press down the accelerator pedal which after some time after changing to gears three or four the problem will start all over, now this happens erratically , I have not been able to notice any pattern like when the engine is hot etc. eg. i have driven the car all through this afternoon today and it didnt happen but happened in the morning period. The gears are also changing normally. I have just changed my ATF and engine oil and even the plugs recently. I have also cleaned the IACV but the problem still exists.
The RPM loss doesn’t happen when the car is in "Park" and I rev the car, it only happens when the car is in "drive gear"i.e when I’m driving the car. what else can I check?

That's why we have the court. When application for debt recovery is filed against the said tenant, the court can recovery the expired rents whether by ceasing and selling some properties of the said tenant.

Hmmm, thats a long one because we all know how the courts run in naija. Probably that's why the landlords have to take laws into their hands, some tenants are just terrible, they intentionally don't pay and just live in the property free and one day just disappear!

What if a tenant refuses to pay at the expiration of the rent? Is the landlord left in limbo? How can he recover his rent? Its not easy to build a house and expect people to live in free just because one wants to obey the law.
