Food / Re: Locally-produced Foods Now More Expensive Than Imported Ones by banku: 4:09pm On Apr 13
This is how Nigerians pass the faults on others, leaders and the other guys.

Accept that most of you as individuals are even worse and more corrupt. This one is ready to blame Nigerians greediness on votes!

Acidosis:

Everyone will vote thieves and greedy leaders, and suddenly expect the common man to live a life of uprightness and holiness. Funny people.

Politics / Re: Testing Begins On 700MW Zungeru Hydroelectric Power Plant – FG by banku: 12:59pm On Apr 10
I thought Tinubu had the right idea then and Obasanjo was wrong.

But remember Enron was a Fraud.

Anything around states generating power could have been good. If not by fraudulent Enron, by any other means.

Most of the International corporations saw Africa as a place to make quick money without delivering e.g Ajaokuta Steel because of excessive kickbacks.

damoobaba:

Dont really understand where youre coming from? Obasanjo was the President in 1999 and was of the PDP. HE STOOD AGAINST TINUBU in 1999 when the later wanted to start power generation with ENRON POWER LTD (you can research that). Its d reason I thought you were an obidient because theyre usually the one that ask dumb questions.

It was the APC that eventually got electricity off the exclusive list.

This is why we are where we are today. No monitoring.

One would expect people to be happy about this. But not some Nigerians because it will expose them, their godfathers and cronies.

Ah, don't try it because some Nigerians will frustrate it.

Yeye dey boom.
Travel / Re: Foreign Carriers Engage In Price War To Frustrate Air Peace Out Of London by banku: 7:26pm On Apr 07
I am also surprised at Helineus solution. If Air Peace had consulted with other Airlines, they could have been charged to court for conspiracy for Price Gouging.

This is a good opportunity to other Nigerians especially the moneybags to come together and compete with the foreign airlines and Air Peace.

What we have here is excessive profit. Only gosh knows how Nigerians could put up with it for so long, traveling across the borders to book planes.

This is why we tell Nigerians to stay home and make money like foreigners rushing to Nigeria to make obscene profits.

Travel / Re: UK Increases Minimum Wage Of Immigrants On Skilled Worrk Visa By 48 Per Cent by banku: 2:15pm On Apr 05
Only a few of you know the meaning. The stupid ones that think UK would create laws for the interest of immigrants against the interest of their citizens.

Africans think. We have the most talented Africans who could utilize half of the efforts they expend abroad to better their own countries.

This is what African computer engineers, doctors, professors have been looking for. 40k pounds or 40k dollars in California is 40 million naira! Holy cow!

By the time you pay about 30 million naira for apartment and utilities, left with about 10 million naira for everything else including student loans;

then and only then will you realize why those earning 40 million naira abroad are crying poverty.

lekonso:

Imagine all of you commenting on a post you neither read nor understood. You saw the headline and rushed to the comment section and started typing... See 'intelligent' Nigerians! 🙄

What the post is saying is that before you can enter the UK on a skilled work visa, you must get a job that pays a MINIMUM of ÂŁ38,700 instead of the old requirement of ÂŁ26,200. This means it's now harder to enter the UK via work visa route as a foreigner!

Politics / Japa If You Belong To The Caste System by banku: 3:25pm On Apr 04
Only a dying man knows the pinch of death. We may have been too hard on those who belong to the lowest level of the caste system who have nothing to lose.

It takes much more for them to succeed in their environment. Yet, many struggle and succeed.

Anger should be directed at those looking to spend a fortune to japa. Especially those in well paying or relatively better positions like those spoiled brats.
Business / Re: Cadbury Nigeria Reports N28.2billion Loss In 2023, Shareholders’ Funds Wiped Out by banku: 1:24pm On Apr 03
Your reasoning supports Western, Eastern and selfish Nigerians pandering to economic domination of Africa.

No one should be surprised that many of you supporting your colonial masters are highly and strategically placed in the International corporate world whose sole interest is to deliver to your foreign shareholders.

Monkey see Monkey do.

What is the foreign loans used for that could not be obtained in Nigeria after 60 years?

nedu666:

Damn your education is seriously limited. Who told you Cadbury gets all their raw materials from Nigeria. Also if you take a foreign loan @ 400 naira a dollar and the naira rate is now 1300 @ dollar, how is that paper loss or creative accounting. Common sense should tell you it will cost more to pay back the loans. If it is paper loss, then banks reporting massive profits on the back of revaluation of their foreign investment will be termed paper profit. But cbn knows its not paper profit that is why it said banks should not pay dividend from such profit. A bank that buys dollar bonds at 400 naira a dollar, when the bond matures @ 1300 a dollar, is that a real profit or paper profit
Business / Re: Cadbury Nigeria Reports N28.2billion Loss In 2023, Shareholders’ Funds Wiped Out by banku: 10:58pm On Apr 02
Thanks!

They think all of us are stupid as the Obiots they are entertaining.

How for gosh's sake does a company that get all their raw materials in Nigeria and sell finished products made in Nigeria worldwide report a loss?

Nothing but creative accounting. They are are looking towards Central Bank for money laundering, otherwise threaten job loss.

Dosoq:
Loss my FOOT!

After increasing the prices of all their products, most especially the bournvita chocolate tea, a carton of the small sachet of bournvita chocolate tea was #23500 as at February(as at the last time I bought it),I'm sure it's not less than #24k+ as we speak ,let alone other products.

They have doubled the price of all their goods,so they should stop crying for loss.

Do you guys think with your fish brain?

Samakus:

When men call you people fish brains, you'll get annoyed

That thing you wrote up there, did you think before writing it?

If the cost of production increases, a company should maintain the old price because you have hole in between your legs?

Use your damn brain

It is nothing more than daring forbidden act. The same way people get thrill from cheating death.

Some of this guys are not even attracted to single or unattached girl until the girls belong to a close friends or relatives.

The status of the boyfriend or husband is also a factor. Sometimes, lower status like the wifes of subordinates.

Nothing hurts women or men more than sleeping with their subordinates

Listen to Biafrans, you will think they had never ruled this country before by coalition with the North, under Jonathan or by military force.

But they do have the right to complain which has always got them more across Nigeria and leadership position in the Southern states or region.

Tinubu just got Allen Onyeama what he sought for 7 years, yet they complain, haba!

Yoruba complain during Jonathan reign to but got them nothing!

Nigerians look for every solution except the ones that affect them personally. No personal sacrifice. .
Why can't we talk about demand for foreign currencies that we cannot print and what exactly we are using them for that bring back value to the country?

Until we reduce or ban temporarily, foreign goods and services, we will never bring down the senseless value of the dollar or euro.

What are we doing differently from the time Nigerian pound was equal to British pound?

Liberal market and lack of control call "freedom" to import anything including junks in exchange for natural resources. This is why importers of junks and foreign school fees payers are happy.

Fools celebrating a 48 years old man in mental slavery. Let us know when hard physical labor that your mates did in their twenties take hold of your health in your fifties.

Still comparing foreign currency to naira, that is all it takes to lure you into slavery where minimum wage translate into billionaire in Nigeria. Are minimum wage earners happy in foreign countries?

Since you and your children are happy to lose valuable Igbo culture that brings family values and happiness, you will soon lose those children and your wife too.

Mark it, in less than five years! Money is a means of exchange like cowries. Contentment after you feed and shelter your family leads to better way of life. Greed for cowries will kill you.

Culture / Children Lost To Good Education Abroad Teach Their Parents ALIEN Culture by banku: 3:31pm On Mar 21
There is nothing worse than losing your culture and your children at the same time to alien behavior that eviscerates whatever good is left in your way of life. It is so insidious, by the time rich parents realize what they have spent most, if not all the money they had from sweat, blood and tears, it is too late. No other Continent spends as much money selling out their cultures and children as Africans.

If you do not learn from your culture, your children will train you for others'. The first casualty of these children is their mothers that are the favorites willing to accommodate their tendencies in order to assimilate them into a new more “civilized” culture than those of Africa. It is not different from how we became the only Continent without widely accepted indigenous religion while we adopted Western and Eastern religions.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Vaughan Gething To Become Wales' First Black Leader by banku: 4:17pm On Mar 17
.Racism, tribalism or xenophobia has always existed throughout the world.

Before Virginia definition of colors by the wealthy farm owners divided the workers that lived and got along amicably. Bacon Revolution 1676 that unite all races except American Indians against Gov. Berkeley who feared Bacon's problem with Indians claiming they would include them in rebellions, defined Blacks and whites by race.

Structural definition by race maintained workers v. Owners by color.

You are a WORSE THAN BRAINLESS.

You are a disgrace of a person.

So, because you read this news, it means ''white people are not racists''?

THE SIMPLE MIND OF A BRAINWASHED, SELF HATING, TWO YEAR OLD CHILD - TURNED BODYGUARD FOR WHITE RACISTS.

Do you EVEN know the FIRST THING about racism in the west, the civil rights movement, the struggle for black equality over centuries, and the struggle against neo-nazi white supremacists, apartheid, black lynchings, segregation, and the Ku Klux Klan?

Ever heard of Dr Martin Luther King Jnr, Malcolm, X, Louis Farrakhan, Nelson Mandela, Steve Biko, all heroic fighters against white supremacy and racism?

Are you aware that there are numerous studies and statistics PROVING institutional racism against black and brown people in the west?

IN Your TINY BRAIN, NONE OF THESE EXIST simply because you read in the news that a black man is to be the new Welsh leader.

Has racism and police brutality against blacks in AmerIca become non-existent because Obama was president there?

Do you know it WORSENED white racism and resentment there and led to the Trump racist regime backed by white supremacists and neo nazis, who today are OPENLY RACIST on social media platforms from X to facebook??

Openly agitating against the ''replacement program'' they claim is happening against them, with black and brown immigrants flooding in and ''poisoning the blood of America'', to use TRUMP's own words?

None of this exists anymore because you read of something that happened in Wales.

YOU ARE AN EMBARRASSMENT TO WHOEVER GAVE BIRTH TO YOU.

Politics / Re: Power Secession Between Fulani Igbo And Yoruba Killing Nigeria by banku: 6:01pm On Mar 15
Honestly, this is one of the problems in this country.

Chop and clean mouth. Biafrans ruled this country called Nigeria more than even the Fulani. Nevertheless, they always find excuses to claim they never ruled enough. They have been the so called beautiful or desirable Bride since they formed coalition with Tafawa Balewa controlling many cabinet positions.

Yet, they always claim they never rule enough. Action Group the only Opposition Party at the Federal, Northern and Eastern regions was satisfied in their roles.

Even in Jonathan Government where they control the Cabinet was not enough. In the Midwest, Osadebe became the leader as well as in Rivers. Biafrans want to lead every region and control every state like old Western Region and Lagos State.

Otherwise, Nigerians are racists.

CorrectionFLuid:

On Azikiwe: if you had read up on the parliamentary system of government, you would have saved yourself some embarrassment.

On Ironsi: he headed a government that lasted just 6 months. For context, Some people here are fighting others for criticizing Tinubus government that has lasted approximately 10 months.

And before you come at me with the unity government bullshit, it's on record that at the time of Ironsi's assassination, he didn't create a single state. All the parliaments in all the regions were all still working.

Honestly if Murtala Mohammed's and Ernest Shonekan's government happened earlier, I would have given those governments the same ignore I gave Ironsi's government, for the same reason that they were all short.

I even skipped over Yakubu's first 3 years, because those were in a war period.

And I can see you ignored the other option where I said, he can also start from 1999. Because you have an agenda to pursue. And you can't deny it because I didn't mention any name, but you were quick to mention 2 names of people, that come from the same ethnic group, that your agenda and propaganda were made against.
