@gogo I was only contacted by my CO for my visa grant. You don't need to be contacted by a CO if everything is in order. On verifications,I believe it is also a relative thing. Just make sure that all your documents are in order and you will be fine. Good Luck!

No cause for alarm, I am a recent PR grantee from Nigeria (Got it in less than 4 months despite referred medicals). Having said that,Nigeria has been declared ebola free by the WHO having failed to record any single case for the required minimum period of 42 days or more.See details below

http://www.who.int/mediacentre/news/statements/2014/nigeria-ends-ebola/en/

Let us continue to pray for the West of Africa and all the nations still affected by the virus including the USA.

Every Country remains at risk as long as there is one single case on the planet.

It is well.

@Drumma I think BossLadyMo has tried to provide you with the basic information you need to proceed with whatever application you need to make. The first step is to nominate a suitable occupation, determine if you meet the eligibility, get your skills assessed and hopefully get a positive skills assessment result then lodge an EOI,get invited to lodge a visa application through the Immiaccount system and that sums it all up. I forgot to add that you will need to write either IELTS or now TOEFL at some point. Its a painstaking process and there are no quick fixes. Good Luck!

Thanks for the clarifications Spiggy
Travel / Re: General Australian Visa Enquiries by bannana(m): 4:08pm On Oct 07, 2014
Congrats Spiggy. I don't think every medical assessment from Nigeria automatically gets referred,it all depends on specific individual cases. I also think that the issue of external (security) checks is a random thing. It can happen to anyone that's where some elements of luck comes in. Over and above all if one has nothing to hide then one should be at peace with whatever application that one has made. For 480,190 and 189 applicants, patience remains the ultimate virtue.

http://thelawyerschronicle.com/recovery-of-premises-an-assessment-of-landlordtenant-law-in-nigeria/

Hello honourable landlord, you can read through the link above to get an overview of how the law works in Nigeria on tenancy and quit notices.

You would have made counsel easier if you spelt out the state in question. Just make sure you get a sound lawyer this time around and hopefully you will be fine.Take note that you will be better off instituting an action at a rent tribunal or court.

Good luck!

3. Optional (payslip also if u wish)

4. copies are ok

5. As at now, the trend is showing Jul 23

nanonye: Hello house. Please does anyone know if CIC has started attending to August applicants.

I guess you have to swallow the chill pill if you applied just this August, going by the feedback of others here on this forum you should expect to hear back form CIC around November.Just my observation, good luck!

solomonwis:

They don't keep applications that don't come in before the cap is reached. They return them back to the applicants except in cases where the applicants have a valid job offer.

Yes, the FSWP is an on-going process but the regulations keep changing every year and applications will be subjected to the rules in existence at the time when they are treated, it will therefore be unfair to subject for instance, last year's application to this year's rules as it will be to the disadvantage of the applicants hence the need to return applications that don't come in before the cap is reached.

Going forward, next year's applications will be treated under a different package all together. There will be an Expression of Interest by the applicants on a platform to be designed (just as it is with New Zealand and Australia) and a whole number of changes will be expected to take place. So, it is pointless keeping this year's applications for next year in-take given the number of changes expected.

Well I respect your resourcefulness on the whole Skilled Immigration process particularly taking inferences from NZ and Australia which is a big possibility and I'm not in any doubt about that.

Having said all that still keeping fingers crossed because my application was sent well in advance before the cap was reached in my case.
Keep up the good work brother and I hope we can all share some positive stories at the end of the day.
Cheers!

solomonwis:

I have gone through that route before (and I have an on-going FSWP going, though that started before the 2013 session).I have actually been on the FSWP since 2007/2008.

If you have not received a PER and your CC was not charged before the cap was reached, then your application will be returned (or it is on its way back to you).

I would expect that since the FSWP is an ongoing process then applications that have met all requirements but did not scale through the application cap selection stage will be kept and reconsidered for the next rounds of selection. There will be no point sending it back for example if the occupation remains on the list of NOC occupations for the next round, anyway my opinion though.I wish everyone good luck!
Travel / Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by bannana(m): 7:57am On Sep 20, 2013
solomonwis:

Your application is deemed complete and received officially only when you receive your PER and your CC charged, that is when it is counted as part of the complete applications received.

You don't get any message when CIC receives your message other than the tracking info from your courier company. The only time you receive info about your application is when your CC is charged and you receive PER.

@Solomonwis thank you for this explanation I was just curious and wondering if you applied for the FSW program and you have gotten a PER.
My second question is that I applied under one of the already filled caps though the cap had not been filled at the time I applied but I didn't get a PER till it was filled, does that mean my application didn't make the number of filled caps? going by your last explanation.Thank you.

@mercilicious try and contact WES Canada by email stating your problem. They shoulod be able to give you the best advice
Travel / Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by bannana(m): 8:14am On Jun 24, 2013
It is not impossible to have all credentials and degree certificates assessed by the assessing bodies but in my opinion the WES assesses the highest qualification especially if the degrees are in the same or closely related fields.e.g BSC Physics and MSC Physics.
