Baba Dee, very articulate effizy guy, good actor; he is actually a graduate of Theatre Arts, he should hone his production skills or go into acting full-time or even modelling would do. He should leave music alone atleast the Fasasi family is already ably represented by Sound Sultan

Maybe we should as well suggest what such guys should be doing, rather than boring us

Rasqie should going ino modelling, he got the looks

MP would do well as a comedian

I know one the Artquake already directs video, he should consider doing that full-time

i will be back

Daddy Showkey, that guy should call it quits with music and go into boxing full-time;heard that's first love, or he should go into any other business, im get plenty money na abi? but im music talent few well well
Music/Radio / Re: Artistes That Have No Business In The Music Industry by Baro(m): 11:22pm On Feb 10, 2008
Please don' feel reluctant to mention names cos we need to be frank to our acts, sometimes they really need to hear the truth from us , so they know where they actually stand; We need to help some of them discover their real talents, like i sincerely feel Dare should stick to presenting and Mceeing. Haba, must everybody sing?

Lest i forget, anybody know that dude called Spiderman? Please tell him he sounds so uninspired and uninspiring lipsrsealed
Music/Radio / Artistes That Have No Business In The Music Industry by Baro(m): 11:07pm On Feb 10, 2008
Sometimes when i hear some noise songs;both local and foriegn, i just wonder what inspired such guys to think they can be musicians/singers in the first place.
Honestly some artistes should just trying doing somehing else, maybe(can't even think of something) or just anything apart from singing. It's so annoying when you hear some trash on radio angry

Take these guys for example

Tony Tetuila
MasterPlan
Artquake e.t.c

And so many upcoming acts, who just want to sing cos they "love" music

@ Me Tu, don't u think you should comment on the thread rather than replying Baro?

As for liking Olu or not, it's simple; i like Olu, just that he doesn't merit a nomination for Artiste of The Year Category, Simple
Music/Radio / Re: Songs you knew would be a hit when you heard them by Baro(m): 6:33pm On Feb 06, 2008
@ Rich Dad,
how about "SONGS YOU JUST KNOW WOULD TURN OUT HITS"
Music/Radio / Re: List Of Nominees Of Hiphopworldawards 2008 by Baro(m): 5:16pm On Feb 06, 2008
sect:

.@jeje i think timaya deserved artist of the year and song of the year nominations. Two of his songs really shaked 2007.them mama and timaya

Thanx Sect, that isn't even all, TIMAYA should also be on the NEW ARTISTE OF THE YEAR CATEGORY infact that award is for him, cos never in the history of Naija music industry has an a new unknown artiste blown-up and sold-out, his feat is unprecendented; sold over 2 Million copies(without a single video) and still counting. In case u dont know every single track on that dude's album was a hit, not just a yahoozee in ten tracks. TIMAYA HOT LIKE FIRE!!
Music/Radio / Re: Songs you knew would be a hit when you heard them by Baro(m): 10:49am On Feb 06, 2008
Odada nice thread but  "The One Hit Wonder" tag is a misnomer, the thread title does not capture the subject, please try to change the title of the thread. A one hit wonder is an act that drops a hit song and goes into oblivion thereafter, i.e Komo - Na today, Eddy Remedy - Arrival, Queen Change(cant remember the title of the song) etc,  Don't feel slighted with this correction, we all learn everyday.

Peace smiley
Music/Radio / Re: Tight But Unpopular Naija Jams by Baro(m): 2:24am On Feb 05, 2008
mr me too:

When I saw Baro started this thread I knew faze had to be there but I just was praying it would be a song that'll at least befit the topic and I wasn't disappointed. "On a plane", to me, is the best song on that album. . . took me time to appreciate it but its such a lovely song. Well unfortunately, i'm not in naija so i don't know how popular or unpopular it is but that song deserves to be up there with the rest of 'em

Thanks Me Tu, atleast for once you admitted that your being in Yankee robs you of the required competence to comment on most Naija music related issues cool

On Plane is such great song, i feel it in my soul whenever i listen to it, wish Faze gave it a visual representation
Music/Radio / Re: List Of Nominees Of Hiphopworldawards 2008 by Baro(m): 11:50pm On Feb 04, 2008
Olu Maintain & Psquare do not deserve their respective nomination for the Artiste of the year category

Take Olu for example, just Yahoozee and he is up for Artiste of the year? How? Fine he merits something, but not a nominaion for Artiste of the year. He got a perfect nomination slot in the Best New Artiste category; this is where he acually belongs, no the former. The Award organisers goofed when they nominated Olu for both Artiste of the year category & New Artiste of the Year category

Anyway, I think he is favored to win the Song of the year category, cos the only threat to his Yahoozee is Faze's Kolomental.

As for Psquare, they weren't that felt in the duration under review, not until they released their Game Over Album in November 2007, so i dont see how they merit a nomination in the Artiste of the Year Category.

Need i say that FAZE should be on the Artiste of the Year Category?(Even though him & Tuface aren't eligible for the Awards)

To the Video of the year Category; again Faze deserves a nomination here, he got the best videos in the duration under review, until Psquare's Do Me came on board

Timaya should be in the New Artiste of the Year Category, it should have been a staraight battle between Timaya(if he were there) and Olu Maintain. I dont think Sasha deserves that gift, for how long will she remain a new artiste? Forever?

I took a good look at all the categories, conspicously missing is the Special Recognition Award Category, grin grin grin  maybe i need to put my glasses on lipsrsealed

Best R'n'B/Pop Album Category; Niyola? Does she have an album?

Mode9's Album should be on the Album of the Year Category

Anyway Nice job by Ayo Animashaun & Co, but they would do better if they shun Sentiments & patronage.
Music/Radio / Re: List Of Nominees Of Hiphopworldawards 2008 by Baro(m): 6:25pm On Feb 04, 2008
Hmmmmm, this thread seems calm, let me stir some controversy in here; Faze and Tuface's Albums DO NOT qualify for the award; their albums where released sometime between September and October 2006(Remember the year in Review is  (DECEMBER 2006 – NOVEMBER 2007) so what are their names and songs doing on that list

Secondly Timaya deserves just more than one nomination
Music/Radio / Re: Tight But Unpopular Naija Jams by Baro(m): 11:30am On Feb 01, 2008
Why do you think those tracks didnt turn out big, despite, their lyrical content, depth and melody?
Music/Radio / Tight But Unpopular Naija Jams by Baro(m): 5:39pm On Jan 31, 2008
There are some Naija tracks that are so very dope; could easily pass for a classic,  but they inexplicably fail to become hits, at best they only end up becoming the favorites of a very few who appreciates good music.

Sometimes i just wish i could singlehandedly put these songs where they truly belong, hmmmm, wishful thinking sad
Anyway here are in my view some of such jams
On A Plane - Faze
Motherland - Sound Sultan
Share My Heart - Faze
Restless Soul - Rymzo
Be Your Man - Blackface
Angelica - Age Beeka E.t.c e.t.c e.tc

Nairalanders i know you feel me, please let us keep this thread alive, post yours

Music/Radio / Re: Who Is Handsome In Faze (kolomental) & Tuface (nothing Dey Appen) by Baro(m): 3:42pm On Jan 30, 2008
Faze doesn't look bad on low cut, remember that was his hair cut in the P Boiz days.

If 2face had enough hair for dread, he would look good in it

Hmmmmm, 2FACE wins this.
