Yeah, a lot of these countries now have players in Europe/developed leagues. Imagine a team like Equatorial Guinea parading only one home based player.
Gone are the days when the smaller teams will park the bus and hope for a slim defeat. Situations that played out in the 2026 WC qualifiers have started playing out in the AFCON again. It only tells us something: ''there are no more minnows in African football''. I wouldn't expect borrow borrow to even have players of their own. |

Kog45: Peseiro should just start Osayi on the right and Aina on the left or Start Aina on the right and Bruno on the left,Sanusi yes a Porto player but lacks the modern day left back style, too rigid....pls is there any difference between Chukwueze and Simon. Sanusi was definitely not bad yesterday. Missing those chances can't take away from the fact that he got into dangerous positions. If he keeps playing like he did yesterday we will be a very dangerous side. 4 Likes 1 Share |

The Player herself said it in an interview with Eagles Tracker that her Primary Position is the No.10 behind the Strikers but she can play as a no.8 or the Left Flank
She was never a Forward but a Midfielder who can as well play on the Flank…! Because she was moved to the flank by her Coach doesn’t mean she’s a Winger..
Ngozi Okobi does the same, She’s an attacking midfielder but plays as a Winger and a Wingback while at Eskilstuana United in Sweden.. What does that I have to do with the price of tea in China? The fact she played in that position and did great is good enough to back my point. Even Messi moved to the flank for the best of his Barcelona team when Suarez arrived, so what are we really talking about? 1 Like |

So Jody Brown of FSU/Jamaica who’s a Winger that played most of her last season games in the AM position for FSU is now a Midfielder ahbi??
Or Christy Ucheibe who plays as a Center Back on the Right side for Benfica is now a Defender??
Rita Chikwelu another big example played as a CB for Kristianstand DFF in Sweden and Madrid CFF in Spain for a Period of time did that change her from a Midfielder to a Defender??
Or Selma Bacha who’s a well known Left Back but plays as a winger for Lyon and France in some occasion, will you now call her a Winger?
Or the Dutch Captain Spitse who plays as a CB for Netherland and Ajax Women is now a Defender ahbi?? I don't get the necessity to make this a thing. If a player has had notable success in a position, how can u say that I can't suggest that the player gets played there? |

Which Nnadozie? The one that Stopped Playing as a Striker before she was Discovered as a goalkeeper at the Airtel Rising Star Competition??
You can’t compare her with Echegini who played in two positions this particular season after the World Cup…. AM and LW.. It is the same as invalidating my point because of what Onyi said. When we all saw her play in the position I was talking about. |

One good thing is all our Winger forward players can play on both sides but since you mentioned Gift and Kanu… My question is where does Rinsola Babajide comes in?? She compete for both wing positions. Uchenna and Gift were just the names I thought about |

God Abeg oooo… Person open her mouth tell you say she be (No.10) Attacking Midfielder but da play the Left Wing or (No. role as alternative you wan force the Forward give her…!? Let's also put Nnadozie back at top 9 since all that matters is what the position the player wants Onyi can give us more as a forward IMO. |

Deltamani: With the return of Randy, New Midfielders will likely come in but again these have been his regular and stand out in recent time..
••• Halimatu Ayinde 28yrs (Rosengard Fc) 🇸🇪 ••• Christy Ucheibe 23yrs (Benfica ) 🇵🇹 ••• Deborah Abeodun 20yrs (Pittsburgh University) 🇺🇸 ••• Tony Payne 28yrs (Sevilla) 🇪🇸 ••• Onyi Echegini 22yrs (Juventus) 🇮🇹
How much game time will they be able to manage with all of them been in top of their game and some going Pro in big European Clubsides..
And the Alternatives like, — Regina Otu 27yrs (Saint Etienne) 🇫🇷 — Peace Efih 23yrs ( Sc Braga) 🇵🇹 — Esther Onyenezide 20yrs (Fc Robo) 🇳🇬 — Amanda Mbadi 24yrs (Saint Etienne) 🇫🇷
And incoming Foreign Born, <> Elisha Sulola 22yrs (Valencia) 🇪🇸
Randy is very much familiar with the top5 above and Deborah Abeodun been her player at Pittsburgh University also give her some edge to becoming a regular in the team as she’s well known and nurtured by Randy at College level..
I see JOE as a forward. She should be competing with Gift and Uchenna for that left side. 1 Like |

The truth of this matter is Some Persons in the NFF doesn’t want Randy Waldrum again. Infact them no need that Man at all.. it’s Aisha Folade that stood her ground that Randy must return, the job was already going to Justin Madugu who they will give peanut salary and then force players on him.
If you guys recall correctly you will see how Justin Madugu was bringing in some players of recent into the SuperFalcons team. Imagine Christiana Obia goalkeeper for Edo queens who’s more like a 3rd/4th choice there been invited Ahead goalkeepers that where playing regularly. Same with Glory Edet who he called up from Congo as if the Congo league was even better than Nigeria League in terms of Playing. I dare u to find me one fullback better than her in Nigeria than Glory Edet. Just because her invite came late doesn't mean it wasn't a good one. The girl is a baller 1 Like |

Marjoribanks: I watched all Fulham games except the ones with Jimenez unavailable due to red card. Tosin is wanted by top clubs not even cos of his defensive qualities but how good he is on the ball. Fulham CB pairing of Bassey and Tosin with Jimenez in attack has conceeded just one goal in matches they all played together! Demolishing Arsenal, Westham etc in the process!
I respect Ajayi's qualities but he is not better than Tosin! He also struggles with pacey players! What did he do special against West Ham and Arsenal? Bassey is the one I see back there doing anything to help the attack. Anybody can pass sideways. There has not been one time I have seen him on the ball and said wow. He is average on ball. |

Marjoribanks: Semi better on the ball than Tosin is blasphemy! There is no aspect of the game in which Ajayi is better than Tosin. None! That means u don't watch Fulham. Tosin is a mistake waiting to happen on the ball. Asking him to do anything outside of passing sideways is asking for a problem. Tosin and Semi are both tall guys who dominate aerialy so u acting like they are night and day is just cap. |
