I've lived at area 2 and visited a friend around area 11. I don't know about now but back then, power supply was constant (upwards 10 hours daily). I relocated to deidei and it was a bit manageable some years back (alternating days or at least, overnight). Now it has collapsed altogether. I'm in permanent darkness and as you are aware, we are all slaves to electricity. Fuel price is at an all time high. We are suffering here

So what part of Abuja can one find a house at max 200k but with stable or reliable power supply?

Politics / Re: Park And Pay Returns Back To Abuja (picture) by Bayoogefila(m): 8:09pm On Jun 05, 2023
I am living in Abuja, so I can talk about the Pack and Pay in AMAC. We have six Area Councils in FCT Abuja, one of them is Abuja Municipal Area Council where the Park and Pay law is instituted.

For those who are saying President Bola Ahmed Tinubu introduced the ticketing of Parking in AMAC, I am sad to tell you that the AMAC Chairman is neither APC Member not Tinubu Follower.

The AMAC Chairman who is collecting the Park and Pay revenue is PDP Member.

Politics / Toyin Badmus Dead: Yoruba Community Abuja Mourns Iyaloja by Bayoogefila(m): 8:09pm On Apr 17, 2023
We received the news of transition to eternal glory of Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus with a big shock, we lost a leader and a mother. A foremost market women leader and an ardent promoter of Yoruba Culture and Values.

Chief Mrs Toyin Badmus was the first woman to occupy the two positions of Iyalode and Iyaloja of FCT Abuja at the same time. An indefatigable grassroots mobilizer for the 2023 General Election.

She was part of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the founder of Asiwaju Women Cooperative Society (AWCS).

In appreciation of her meritorious services to Yoruba Race, the Yoruba Community Abuja under the auspices of Alhaji Chief Hakeem Mosebolatan Adetunji awarded her during the 2022 Gala Night at the Yar'adua Centre, Abuja.

We ask God, the Almighty, to overlook her shortcomings and forgive her sins. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Politics / Seyi Tinubu Salutes Asiwaju For Raising Leaders by Bayoogefila(m): 9:45am On Jan 19, 2023
The Ground Patron of City Boys Movement, Comrade Seyi Tinubu has commended the APC Presidential Candidate,. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for raising leaders across the six geopolitical zones of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Seyi made this known during interaction session with the 62 Ward Chairmen of the APC in FCT Abuja. He noted that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu does not care where you come from or religion you practice before helping or supporting you. Seyi Tinubu said the visionary leader had been grooming political leaders since 1999 when he became Lagos State Governor.

While thanking Seyi Tinubu for creating an avenue to interact with the APC ward Chairmen in Abuja, the Ward Chairmen Coordinator, Hon. Salisu S. Power said the narrative will change in the FCT election this time around. He said the neglected party structures is the major reason why opposition party won some local government in the last election.

The ward Chairmen who spoke in turns elucidated their winning strategies for the 2023 General Elections.

Politics / Yoruba In Abuja Urged To Unite For Progress by Bayoogefila(m): 6:47pm On Mar 22, 2021
Yoruba in Abuja have been urged to always maintain peace and order in whatever they do and with whomever they are associating with in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Oba Yoruba of Abuja, HRH Dr. Oba Olusegun Salau gave the advice during the Yoruba Quarterly Town Hall Meeting held over the weekend in Ogun Government House Abuja where hundreds of Yoruba from the six Area councils of Abuja converged for deliberation.

Oba Olusegun Salau said every city has the code for successful living in it; he said the best code of successful living in Abuja is to be law abiding.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Interim President of Yoruba Community in Abuja, Omooba Murtala Agboola thank the administration of the Federal Capital Territory for good security provided in and around Abuja. He said implored the Federal Capital Territory Authorities to intensify their efforts on projects that will alleviate the sufferings of people in Abuja.

Omooba Murtala Agboola also thank Yoruba in Abuja for coming together as one to forge ahead in harmony and progress. He urged Yoruba sons and daughters to take advantage of different ongoing interventions in the country.

The highlight of the Town Hall Meeting was a lecture delivered by Amb. Busolami Olaniyi on "Opportunities in Agripreneurs for Nigerians". The guest speaker shed lights on little business opportunities in agro allied industry that can turn people to millionaires.

Religion / FOMWAN Morns The Death Of Hajia Aisha Lemu by Bayoogefila(m): 12:05am On Jan 06, 2019
FOMWAN LOSES PIONEER NATIONAL AMIRAH

The Federation of Muslim Women's Associations in Nigeria (FOMWAN) has lost its pioneer National Amirah, Hajia Aisha Lemu

It is with deep heart and gratitude to Almighty Allah, the creator of the whole universe and everything therein, to announce the death of the 1st National Amirah of the Association, Hajia Aisha Lemu, who died on Saturday 5th of January 2019 at the age of 79 after a brief illness.

The demise of the founding member of our association came as a great shock to the members of this great Islamic women association, and the entire women folk in general.

Our hearts are still flowing with sorrow and grief as it is hard to believe that our own Aisha Lemu has answered the Divine call; we know that every soul shall taste death.

Until her death, she was the Chairperson National Board of Trustee of FOMWAN, a passionate Foundation member who served the Association diligently with her resources.

She was a symbol of unity, sincerity, integrity, justice and piety. She did her best to propagate Islam with her wealth and health using FOMWAN and other vibrant religious avenues as good platforms.

She took FOMWAN beyond Nigeria and remained a Role model to Muslim women.

Her memory and the inspiring legacy she left shall forever remain in our minds and in the history of spreading the message of Islam across the Globe.

We pray Almighty Allah to forgive her shortcomings, reward her efforts and grant her highest place in Al Jannatul- fridaus.

Meanwhile, she will be buried at IET Minna tomorrow, Sunday (January 6, 2019) by 10am prompt.

FOMWAN urges all states and international branches to organise prayers for her in their respective branches.

Signed

May Almighty Allah forgive the Mallam, accept his ibadah and grant him Al-Janatul Firdaoz. May Allah give the family and friends the fortitude to bear the loss and may He uphold us more in Islam,

I sincerely want to implore non-Muslims contributing to this post to remember one one of the greatest teachings of Jesus "Do unto others what you will expect them to do unto you" May God, the Almighty, give us all the grace to love one and others
