SirMichael1:
You story isn't complete...

1. Why did she divorce her ex-husband? Ask your friend to ask her that question

2. She might be pretentious with her character out of the fact that she needs a man to take care of her 3 children and to also guide them

3. She might have escaped from an abusive relationship: Due to her quest to find a stable well-to-do man in all ramification, she might have settled with her ex-husband knowing fully well he could take care of her and her children because he's got the money only to be married to him and be receiving punches everyday

4. Also, she might have cheated on her ex-husband and bore bastards for him and then got herself thrown out of the house and now she's realized her wrongs and needs a man to settle with desperately for the sake of her children. That explains her good character

Solely my opinion
1. Because she encountered domestic violence and infidelity from the husband
2.she is straight and open, she is from a wealthy home and her ex husband is not poor neither.
3. She was sexual abused by the husband severally, especially when he is drunk....in mist of that she received beating always
4.the husband was the first man she ever dated and ended up marrying...
She started with the husband as poor couples, to the point when they started living large.
Romance / Relationship Saga! Help A Desperate Friend! by BBBlaze: 3:48pm On Aug 06, 2017
Can you date/marry a lady that was divorced with 3 kids (boys) and she is 2 years older than you?...

A friend of mine is confused right now!

He meet a lady 3 weeks ago and had an instant connection (maybe "love at first sight"wink with her.

He got closer to her and digged into her past life to discovered she was a divorcee with three beautiful boys (5; 7 & 12 years old respectively); though the kids lives presently with the ladies parents but the father of the kids is tending to take them.

She is 2 years older than the guy; but very humble, having a characteristics of a virtues woman. She is so nice to a fault and my dear friend falls deeply for her every day that goes by...

My friend is tending to settle down but kind of confuse if to settle down with her or let the relationship (3 weeks old relationship) go and search for someone else.

She loves him very much as well as my friend!
The question is, could it be a divine connection or derailed connection?

Your candid insults, advice, opinions and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for your kind gesture!

Celebrities / Actress Debunks Suicide Attempt Rumours by BBBlaze: 3:23pm On Aug 06, 2017
Moyo Lawal has now cleared the air, noting that she went through a "dark time" and “didn’t and will never attempt to kill” herself.

Following a post shared by Moyo Lawal on Saturday, August 5, revealing a bit of her struggles in recent times, rumours have been flying around that she may have attempted suicide.

Of course, the Nollywood actress' words were taken far out of context but since that needs to be pointed out, she has shared another post on Instagram, debunking the rumours.

In the post she shared on Saturday, Moyo wrote, “Dear Lovers …… Am sorry ,I have been away and silent this past couple of months but you see ,I haven’t been able to explain what was going on in my mind and my heart. All i know, is that I have been living in a body fighting to survive with a mind that has been trying to die . ………………. P.s I missed you,so so much ML.”

At this point, it is safe to assume that her words were spoken metaphorically and not literally.

She has now cleared the air, noting that she went through a "dark time" and “didn’t and will never attempt to kill” herself.

Read her post below:

"Wait………hold up lovers…. I think we are ..eeem blowing things out of proportion!!!…………………… God has been really good to me and my support system is different shades of amazing ,my family ,friends turned family ,friends who have remained as friends ….fans turned friends are everything ••••••••• ••••••••••••••••••••••••• Its just that well ,I got really numb for a bit …and was in a very dark place that I didn’t understand …………

"I mean, it still shocks me that God Almighty has blessed me so much that I can actually live my life accordingly to my own rules ….like small short bowlegged, one kind looking me ….although( Baba God please answer my call oooh)” I am still awaiting that. ••• “Hollywood magic and money” and my “Kanye” ❤”••• .. But otherwise ,I can’t complain•••••• P.s …….Thank you all so much for the love, because honestly the amount of people that have reached out me despite having their own problems is whew …too sweet ….may the Almighty meet each and everyone of you in your hour of need".

"P.s..p.s …So many people have reached out to me ,talking about their own experiences and I will really love that to continue ,so pls feel free to reach out to me,I will love to listen and hopefully make things better …………………………… P.s..p.s…p.s I didn’t and will never attempt to kill myself ,ya all watch too many movies • …. ……….. ML."

Funny how Nigerians seem to leap to morbid conclusions but thankfully, there will be no obituaries anytime soon.

15 Things Women Say/ask That Leave Men Lost For Words
.
.
As we all know perfectly well, men and women are very different. Thus, seemingly innocuous stuff a girl might say is often sufficient to blow a guy’s mind — even if the male half of humanity is reluctant to admit this.
Below re top 15 phrases that every woman should treat with extra caution while talking to her boyfriend or husband!
.
#15. I'm Alright
In most cases, when a woman says "I’m all right," she really implies that she is anything but. However, men don’t always manage to interpret the situation correctly, which can lead to further stress. If you feel truly miserable, just say so right away. Sincerity will prove much more beneficial to your relationship.
.
#14. Why don't you have a girlfriend? lipsrsealed
There might be many different answers to this question, or there might be no answer at all. In any case, it gets asked most often by the very same person who is the actual reason for the guy’s lack of a love life. So if you question a male acquaintance or a colleague on this subject, be prepared to hear "Because you don’t want to date me!" in return.
.
#13. Am I getting fat? sad
You can ask this question to a female friend or to your mother but not to your boyfriend or spouse. It is highly unlikely that any man will give you an honest reply. In a situation like this, a guy is bound to think that you are asking for a compliment — and that’s precisely what you’ll get from him, regardless of your figure’s true dimensions.
.
#12. Give that to me, I'll do it myself smiley
Quite possibly, you had no intention of offending your partner. It’s just that you really happen to be better at tightening screws, washing dishes, or choosing ties. But, to a guy, such a phrase sounds like an undermining of his manly prowess.
.
#11. Is this dress too daring? kiss
It’s the same thing as with the "Am I getting fat?" question. For guys, there is no right answer in this situation, so they’ll tell you what you want to hear (or, at least, what they think you want to hear). After all, let’s be honest — even if you wanted to hear the truth, you’d hardly enjoy hearing an affirmative answer!
.
#10. What are you thinking about? tongue
A man might be thinking about a thousand things at once or about nothing in particular. Just as you yourself might. It’s simply that men are much less likely to share their thoughts and feelings, so you shouldn’t put your partner in an awkward position with questions like this.
.
#9. My ex used to do this well grin
Any recollections about your ex are likely to cause your partner irritation. After all, you’re comparing him to a person you eventually split up with.
.
#8. Are you sure you know what you are doing? wink
No man wants to look incompetent in the eyes of his woman, even if he’s really unsure of what he’s doing. Simply give him your support by showing complete trust in his actions.
.
#7. Do you notice anything different? embarassed
This is not merely a question but a signal a girl gives to her partner to look for fresh changes in her appearance. The problem is that guys don’t pay attention to little image alterations that women, find hugely important. So if you’ve simply used a different lipstick or dyed your hair a tone darker (and not sprouted a third leg or something like that), your man will likely feel unable to answer your question. And turning this into a prolonged and confusing guessing game won’t please either of you!
.
#6. Can I have a bite? undecided
Prepare to hear a resounding “No!“ Not because your partner is greedy but because he offered to order this steak for you ten minutes ago and you refused. And, as girls ”their tiny bite!" might easily turn into “Oops, I’ve accidentally eaten two-thirds of your dinner!”
.
#5. Oh! You won't understand angry
To a guy, this sounds like you’re doubting his mental abilities. After all, how would you react if your boyfriend told you the same thing?!
.
#4. Who sent the message? cry
Even if you’re just asking out of curiosity, it might seem to your guy like you’re trying to control him. And no one likes total control. Every man and woman is entitled to personal space, including when it comes to text messages.
.
#3. Do you think she's beautiful? undecided
The first thing that comes into a guy’s head on hearing such a question is “It’s a trap!“ Even if the girl really is beautiful, to say ”Yes!" would mean to sign one’s own death warrant. The simple fact is that being in love doesn’t cause a man to go blind, nor to lose the ability to evaluate what he sees. And there is nothing wrong in this, but you definitely won’t get an honest answer from your partner. Then again, who needs to ask such useless questions anyway?
.
#2. Men! U re all alike cry
Actually — no. All men, as indeed all women, are different. Each of us has his or her own distinctive principles, hobbies, thoughts, and feelings. The fact that your boyfriend or husband likes something that all men like in general does not make him a mass-produced clone. After all, didn’t you choose him out of all those thousands of "identical" men to become your life partner? So stop belittling his individuality!
.
#1. We need to talk. (This is the scaring one). shocked
To a man, this phrase immediately implies something negative. You simply wanted to discuss plans for the weekend, but he’s already preparing for a scandal and thinking of ways to defend himself, make excuses, or prove his innocence. And so a light conversation about the upcoming holidays can suddenly turn into a heated showdown.

You can add yours!

Education / Don't Make Unnecessary Enemies! by BBBlaze: 3:08pm On Jul 19, 2017
STOP CREATING ENEMIES FOR YOURSELF
I remember when gaining admission into the universities was a problem. I had a friend that was lucky to gain admission before me.
Whenever I went to visit him, his mother would say he was not at home. My friend started giving me attitudes. He stopped coming to my house. When I asked him what the problem was, he opened up and told me his mother had warned him to stop associating with me because I might not be happy he gained admission, while I was still at home. Ah, I cried. Honestly I was pained.
Fast forward 5 years later, I have gained admission, and even graduated. My friend was still in the university. It was a 5 years course but he changed department and ended up spending 6 years.
His mother saw me in the neighbourhood shortly after graduation and asked if I was on holiday. Holiday ke? Mummy, I have graduated. You can imagine the look on her face. Lol. I graduated with 2nd class upper, a year later he graduated with 3rd class.
Some of us are guilty of this:
*When we have our houses filled with kids.... Our loyal friends struggling to have kids become our enemies.
We push them away, for fear they might be jealous and unhappy.
*Once we get married...
Our loyal single friends become enemies,
We push them away.
*Once we get employed,
Our loyal jobless friends become enemies.
We push them away.
*Once we get to the top...
Our loyal friends at the bottom become enemies
We push them away.
*When we are happily married...
Our loyal friends that are unfortunately divorcees become our enemies,
We push them away.
*When we have food and water...
Our loyal friends struggling to survive become our enemies,
We push them away.
*Nobody is your enemy, you are only being an enemy to them. We quickly forget that life is not static. It moves and changes.
When you condemn a situation along with the person in the situation. You are only gambling.
At the end, the winner is always the person you condemned, the person you least expected.
Food for thought.

Crime / Say No To Domestic Violence! by BBBlaze: 10:02am On Jul 05, 2017
Domestic violence is not as simplistic as being a Men vs Women issue. So I'll not be coaxed to hate anything that pees with a penis. Neither will I be badgered to tag all men as vile.

Domestic violence in Nigeria is an issue that stems from many factors. Including and especially our LUST FOR DOMINION and lack of respect for anything or person we perceive to be less than we are.

Yes! Why are many Nigerian men chauvinistic? It's based on what traditional society and religion teaches. A man is above a woman. A woman should submit. A man should be the head. This that. I won't go down that route of argument but did the holy books say, 'beat and panel beat them to submission? "

So, don't blame religion. Blame yourselves and the wrong society you belong to. The society that teaches immorality and dominion like the animal kingdom where a Lion debases a zebra, but even most animals don't kill for fun or to prove a point.

The country is lawless. Reminds me of the Wild West and frontier towns where the fastest gun is the law. When you kill him, you become the law.

I'm still not making sense?

OK, if you think it's simply a 'men are bad', women are victims' thing.

Ask yourselves why you rarely hear cases of male employees beating up their female bosses? Have you seen a male houseboy refusing to clean the house because it's a woman that sent him? But that same guy goes home and pummels his wife for trying to argue with him. So you see, it's a case of bullying people that we think are beneath us. A NORM IN NIGERIA.

-Where ethnic groups trade insults about who is greater and parents teach children to abuse a mallam, or an omo igbo or ofe mmanu. The moment an ethnic group takes power and realises they are stronger, they begin to oppress the others by stunted political appointments and jibes; telling the other one. "Wait for your time". Our Nigeria.

-A country where you rarely see an adult greeting a child. Children are flogged mercilessly by both men and women for daring to express themselves or argue. I am your parents, I own you.

-Bullying is encouraged in schools via Senior and junior relationship. Senior Bayo will send junior Dayo to go and buy the cure to cancer or everything on an Mbaise brideprice list with 10 naira. Dare argue and you will be knocked down and beaten. When you report, you're told to "wait for your time" and the vicious cycle continues.

-Where nurses and doctors fight for supremacy unnecessarily. Bosses dominate their employees and a gateman or gardener has no dignity and it's encouraged.

-The rich knock the poor down. A rich man subjects his wives' broke family to verbal abuse because he is footing the bills. A wife's rich brother organises thugs to iron out her husband. Then the poor oppress the poorer. I can afford a keke napep, I will drive recklessly in the rain and spread water on passersby. Why una dey trek? A G-wagon bashes a Honda and you hear, "fool! Can you afford my front light", not caring who is at fault.

-The military men here. Those ones, free to bash motors and the bashee will frog jump on top. Enter buses without paying and a driver that refuses is a dead man when they cross their barracks. Jump queues in ATM and if you think you should complain, you're . I ca ;Dn't even type what will happen. When you tell people around, they ask "you dey craze? ", what about those who kneel down and Koboko falls on them for carrying khaki wallet or bandana.

-A place where people with more twitter followers are rude to you cos only your family follows you or an instagram slay Queen disregards you cos she can. A single lady dares not give a married woman advice. What do you know?

It's not violence but it's the same philosophy of dominion we allow here. The men turn it to violence because it's a case of physical dominion over physically weaker women. Consider if your Nigerian lecturer could flog you, he probably would. Anyone who has tasted both Nigerian and foreign education system will tell you that the lecturers abroad are more open to ideas and conversation than Nigeria where lecturers dominate and punish students for dissenting opinion.

Now here's violence too:
-Women (not just women) who beat the househelp, pour pepper into her ass or pour hot water for offences ranging from 'being loose' to 'not washing plate well'. The lady of the house has spoken!

So you see, it's not a Male vs female thing in this country. It's a case of forceful domination based on beliefs, tradition, culture.
While we are advocating against Domestic Violence. Let's not forget to get to the root of the matter and nip it at the bud. Unless this place will never grow.
