Please recheck the online data again. Avalon can’t be 20mpg in the city. That is what a 4 cylinder sedan was meant to drive and you can’t even get that in Naija with our type of fuel.

Improve your MPG up to 2 percent by using the grade of oil recommended in your owner’s manual.

I use the recommended 5w-30 though. Thanks

I am guessing by your your post that you drive in lagos. There is no way you drive in lagos and will meet the advertised mpg of your car. Not possible unless you drive only very early in the mornings and very late at night.
Our fuel is crap. You car is fine. To improve your mpg, reduce the amount of time you spend idling and enjoying ac, drive like a granny, carry fewer people or fewer loads, plan your journeys to avoid rush hours and traffic. All these na suffer head things but that's what you gotta do to improve your mpg. smiley

LOL. Thanks for your input. Appreciated cool

Trouble dey sleep, nyanga wan go wake am. Your car is alright. Your mpg is as expected. It's a v6 in a heavy car. If you want 22mpg, sell and buy a small 4 cylinder car.

LOL. Thanks, I no go wake trouble lol. Online sources show that the car should get around 20mpg city driving though, and someone I know gets better mpg too. I guess that's where my concern came from

Roughly how many miles do you cover in a week, and check if the car thermostat is in place. As small as it is(thermostat), it can make a world of difference in your mpg

Thermostat intact.

220 - 250miles per week
Car Talk / Re: Maintenance Tips On Cars. by BeardedTraveler: 11:02am On Mar 16, 2021
Chief Gazzuzz, my 07 Avalon's fuel consumption is on the high side, averaging around 12 - 14mpg most of the time. I fill up around 65litres every week. Dashboard clean, no error code on scanning. Car works fine in every other way and fuel consumption has been like that since I bought it.

A mechanic suggested that he can do a kind of work or tuning on the engine/car to reduce the fuel consumption and that it won't affect the car in any way, but I'm skeptical of going along with that lol.

Pls advise me. Thanks

I meant to add that I totally agree that 7 inch phones are ridiculous. Kukuma buy a tablet is what I think, unless you have gorilla hands. Many people drop their phones more because it’s too big and even more people experience tendinitis in their hand, which they don’t know the name for and may not even attribute to their phones. Longterm studies will reveal the extent of damage they cause

Different stroke, lol. For the best part of the last 12 months, I've been on the lookout for devices that have 6 - 7" display on the formerly popular 16:9 screen ratio because most modern phones come across as too long and thin instead of wide as it used to be, heck I sold my mi 9 for the same reason.

That's basically what I like most in Samsung Notes, even though not 16:9 they do come across to me as wide enough, I don't know why though. But the love for miui always brings me back to Xiaomi lol. Talmbout one man's food being another's poison lol

That's the major difference between both devices, the pro has a better camera set up than the vanilla version, the difference is really noticeable, you can confirm from reviews.

Yeah, from gsmarena's review I noticed that's the major difference between both devices and that pro is the better one obviously. I'm just trying to find out if the difference is that much, in say, day-to-day photography especially for someone who only needs camera for taking advertisement pictures.

I have an option of getting used mi 10 pro for above 200k and mi 10 for below that. So I'm trying to figure if it's that's okay.

Wahala be like Bicycle.

It's just weird man. One of the issues with brand buying. You want to associate with a badge even though you won't enjoy the UX. From the question, cost of the device is not a problem so why not just purchase a device with similar power as you want from the OEM whose UX suits you?

Anyhow sha, like he said, "choices".

Here in Abuja, last time I priced it in their showroom its about 195k total cost with installing

Oops. That's high. Although, the amount I bought it for doesn't include installation kits and installation fees

How much did you buy the 1.5hp?
I learned it's very scarce now and expensive.

Got it for #157,700 from one LG showroom. Although other showrooms I checked quoted 168k and above

Inverter AC technology has great improved and the reason why i recommended get the new ones. And again, consider getting one with the R410 Gas as against the R22.

Thanks bro. I eventually got the 1.5hp yesterday. R410A is written on the carton - I believe that means R410 gas - as I'm yet to open the carton.

The first pic, however both look the same, apart from the efficiency sticker on the first.

Lemme let you in on a lil secret.
The single reason aparently same ac have different prices is the evaporator/condenser, expensive models come with copper, which resists corrosion, while cheaper variants hv the evaporator made with an aluminum alloy, wch will corrode and leak within 5 yrs, especially if refilled or left unused for long periods

OK. I think that explains the difference in price I've been seeing around. Thanks a lot

If you are getting a used unit, better you avoid the inverter ACs. You can go with their choice or recommendation since you are getting used.

Bro, you said earlier on this thread that the newer model of LG's inverter ac is better than the old ones. Which is the newer one between this 2?

Technology Market / Re: Which Brand Has The Best Air Conditioner? by BeardedTraveler: 8:42am On Sep 12, 2020

Yes its still working perfectly.
I bought them in July 2015, beside washing their filters occasionally i haven't done anything to them not even refilling of freon/gas.

OK. Thanks bro. Feedback appreciated
