@ChampXC,

1. Your sponsor family cannot do anything to expedite the process apart from the nomination. This is where a state regional sponsor is better.

2. According to the Migration Regulations 1994 (amended) from July 1, 2014, a skills assessment is valid for three years from the date of issue except a shorter period is indicated on the assessment.

I think you should chase a 489 from any region as November 2019 is almost here.

@Ogeka,

If your experience is more about repairing cars, I will suggest you nominate a motor mechanic. You have faster chance of invitation than mechanical engineering.

You will still be able to claim 15 points from education.

@Olinga,

1. Some do contact your office for confirmation while others may not provided you supply enough evidence to support your employment.

2. You don't need introduction letter from your employer if they refuse to issue you a reference letter. What you can do is a statutory declaration of employment and certify it before a JP or in court. The declaration will include all information that should be on employment reference letter with additional explanation on why you can't get the reference letter. You will include a contact person preferably your direct line manager. A copy of the declaration is attached to this thread or the first thread (opening page). I believe your company wouldn't deny you don't work there they are contacted for confirmation.

3. It will be unwise to do so. It may not go through the scrutiny of Home affairs during the main application. I don't think it will be wise to waste such thousands of dollars. No point using a false experience when you have the real experience. Your company have no right to deny you don't work for them when they are contacted. If you know your right, it is a subject for big litigation.

Go ahead and use your real experience. Use a statutory declaration of employment and add other evidence including payslip, bank statement, tax certificate, pension statement, confirmation and promotion letter and anything to substantiate the employment.

Hello my good people, Please I need your Professional advice on this:

I've got an Engineering background with engineering job experience, which I was able to locate it on the skilled list of Visa category 189, but My partner, had a Science Lab Tech background with Sales Representative work experience, which I couldn't locate it on the same skilled list of 189, but I found her own on Subclass 187. How can I still get the 5 points under partner?

please, I need your advice.

For a start, you need to rewrite your English test for a 20 point score.

Subclass 187 is not an independent skill visa.

They said the phone number I gave them could not be linked to the company.

I was always with my boss those periods and he told me he didn't get any email.
Am also afraid my company doesn't have a functional website. Would it be wise if I get them to create one?

I truly do not know how to go about this.

Is your company registered with the CAC? I don't understand what they meant by the number couldn't be linked to the company. However, I will advice you include your company's contact number and supervisor's number. Provide every possible information that confirms the existence of your company..

If they didn't raise the point about your work experience more closely related to motor mechanic than fitter, I would have told you to appeal the decision. I can't kick against their field of expertise.

Reapply as a motor mechanic based on their recommendation, add all work experience documents and wait.

Hello,

Jus got -ve outcome from tra on reasons :

Unable to verify employment
Job role fits more as a motor mechanic and not a fitter.

Pls what should be my next line of action?

I am sorry about the unpleasant outcome.

1. They couldn't verify your employment maybe because your supervisor/manager or whoever you put down didn't respond to the email TRA sent.

2. If that is what they advised, reapply as motor mechanic than a fitter. Motor mechanic is also on 189 and sponsored by some states.

When you reapply this time, ensure you keep telling your boss to check his email. Include any and every evidence you have to support your employment.

Well it depends on what happened during the pregnancy e.g what happened when he found out she's pregnant, his reaction; either positive or negative, his involvement during the 9 month period and the day of delivery, some men can be soo annoying that they will start forming caring when they see the baby, they won't remember the insults and the blatant denial of the mother before the birth, well it still boils down to the kind of men ladies chose to be involved with, these days na so so yama yama everywhere, not all sha.

Irrespective of what transpires during the pregnancy, as long as the father comes around to be involved in the life of his child, he shouldn't be denied.

The only reasons a father can be denied involvement are when he chooses not to be involved and when he it is factually proven that he is a security risk to the child.

Women should learn how to separate their issues from raising kids. Kids shouldn't be used as a bargaining chip. They need their father as much as they need their mum. Several research has shown that kids who have their fathers involved in their lives have little risk of being involved in antisocial behaviours compared to those raised by their mothers alone. When women deny access to kids because of the hurt they experienced from the dad, they are only setting the kids up for failure in relationships, not just romantic relationships but everyday relationship.

If you know the man in question, tell him to report the threats to the Nigeria Police force and Department of State Security. The woman and her family will be compelled to sign an undertaking of safety for his family and new girlfriend.

Threats, either verbal or written is an offence against the Nigeria criminal code. It attracts a jail term if guilty of threat. Threat is an accessory to other violence including murder.

He shouldn't joke or downplay the threat. Every member of the woman's family should sign the undertaking and also get a restraining order against her.

He doesn't owe her anything. He is not responsible for her illegal status. If he advised her to leave before deportation doesn't mean he owes her anything. It was an advice she chose to follow. If he collapsed under the pressure to marry her, it doesn't mean that the home affairs will grant the lady visa. Being married to someone doesn't guarantee automatic visa. She will still be considered a national security threat to the country.

Puhleeze! Not everything is medical o jare. Nastiness, trouble making and verbal abusiveness is a character flaw, not a medical condition.

Maybe, maybe not. It is not every antisocial behaviour is character flaws. The behaviours she is exhibiting maybe to mask some deep seated psychological issues. She may be having serious mental health challenges that quarreling with neighbours gives her succour.

I believe a professional help can ameliorate her problems. It may not completely solve it but can reduce her level of aggression. I will not rule out oppositional defiant behaviour as the foundation of her adulthood problems.

Lol, I know it shouldn't be a deal breaker but I'm terrified of them. I once moved out of an estate cos I saw one Infront of my house (it got away) and other residents reported sightings too.

There are snakes everywhere including Nigeria. At least, we see threads about killed snakes on the front page every now and then.

Since moving here, I have not seen a snake except on the news entering people's cars in country areas.

VETASSES will request for evidence that you were paid for the one year.

I submitted EOI for regional nomination RDASI as an electrician. Some of docs requested were my CV and assessment letter. So my EOI has been approved and they now asked me to make full application where I will pay some money. My fear is that since my skill assessment is professional engineer, could my application be rejected at this stage?

Usually at the initial application, your submission is not looked into critically until the main application. You will likely be asked to provide assessment for electrician when you submit the application.

Ok sir. Having submitted my CV and engineer's assessment, I never expected them to ask me for full application. Maybe, they're interested in the money

You are not making yourself clear. I really do not understand what you are talking about.

Who did you submit CV and assessment report to? What were you invited for?

Oga Bellong they just invited me to make full application. U mean I dnt stand a chance?

You are confusing yourself. My response is to your previous question about using Engineer assessment for electrician.

You cannot use a positive assessment as an engineer to apply as an electrician. If you have been invited to apply for electrician and your skills assessment is that of an engineer, don't accept the invitation. You should decline it.

It must be a paid experience. Practicum is more like learning the skills. The experience they are after is the application of your skills in exchange for a wage.

Please do not see this as an annoying inquiry i just want to have details before i get my hopes up.
If i do not have any post qualification experience, do i stand a chance of getting a visa?
that is if i have fulfilled the points necessary to enter the pool.

Except you are an Engineer, you may likely not get a positive assessment without at least one year post-qualification work experience. You need a positive assessment before you can put in an expression of interest.

Hello Everyone.

I need your help guys.
I had BSc. Marketing from IMO STATE UNIVERSITY since 2004. I am currently a certified Stockbroker(since 2014).
Work experience with a stockbroking firm is about 10yrs.
I learnt about Tier 1 & 2 rating for Nigerian universities
Will i have a positive assessment or a downgrade because i schooled in IMSU? Secondly, will my certification count?
Would appreciate your response.

Your initial concern should be identifying an occupation to nominate. Have you seen an occupation that matches your experience?

Thanks Belong,

No the CO didn't ask for a specific evidence, just the general list as found on DIBP website.

I only supplied an employment letter which doesn't state am a cofounder. Truth is I have investors, and though am a cofounder, am also an employee.

Do you think I should also submit the signed founders agreement and our last audited accounts report.

Thanks a lot.

In that case, provide the payslips and tax certificates for the period claimed. Include any other documents outside your bank statement.
Travel / Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by bellong: 2:35pm On Apr 10, 2019
@Applepiepr,

Did the CO ask for specific evidence or just additional evidence to support the employment?

Did you declare that it is joint-owned with you as a co-founder?

Are you able to get a pension statement?

I don't think your bank statement will help your cause at this stage. In this situation, what would have been appropriate is to declare the business as self and salary paid based on company's income. This will show that your income is irregular making it easy to cut through this process.

For additional evidence, you can provide company registration documents, promotion letter (if any), rent agreement for the office, pension statement if available and the company's account itself or any other documents to proof the existence of the business and that you are directly employed by the business.

No I have not paid it.

It is my first ticket.

Send an email to the address included in the ticket. Explain what happened, try to give a convincing reason on why you had to move at the time after ensuring there was no car in the way. In the letter, admit that you committed the offence but it was due to the unavoidable situation. Tell them it is your first offence and plead that they convert it to a caution.

I did it before for Vicpolice and it was Changed to a caution. You could be lucky too. Don't pay until you get their response because once you pay or enter a payment plan, it can't be changed.

Goodluck.
