Politics / Kwara2019:O To Gé Versus The Winning Team by BerryAnny(m): 11:47pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
'O To Gé, O To Gé, O To Gé!!! Many, especially, people who understand Yoruba language very well would have been wondering what I meant by the words,or better still slogan,I scribed above while others who don't would have been wondering the kind of language I deployed in writing those words but deep down they will also be curious about what I meant by that. My sole mission now boils down to the fact that I need to explain the reason why I write those words and in addition also explain the the meaning to those that don't understand yet. Great task it is,right? Lol 'O To Gé' is actually a Yoruba words which literally means 'Enough is Enough'. I can remember vividly when I was young and a kid back then running and playing around in his dirty pant, which was a result of a long playing day in the sun either playing football or running aimlessly around searching for what was never lost. After the normally playing time which was around 2pm-6pm as it was stipulated by our parents back then,my colleagues and I would still went on to play in the dark which would prompt our parents to be shouting our names after the other like 'Akanni Ere'pa to n se lati aaro yen tito géoh,ile tisú oh. (Akanni that playing of yours is enough for the day,it's dark already). After this warning, which virtually all of us didn't used to take serious then would be another one which was usually 'O To Gé mohun sofun iwo omo yii oh,o to gé oh (Enough is enough,I'm insisting enough is enough). He who failed to heed to this second warning would be unfailingly be subjected to ear-pulling or worst still a thorough beating from the playing ground. Back to the subject of discourse, 'O To Gé'(Enough is Enough) is the campaign slogan of the All Progressive Congress (APC),Kwara State Chapter. From its campaign billboards, posters and fliers, you can see the tagline written boldly on the top, with a staunch upper case characters depicting their seriousness and belief in the efficacy of the words. To everyone who resides in Kwara state or is familiar with the state of politics therein, the word 'O TO Gé' has a political cum personal motivated meaning which is meant to sway the mind of the good people of the state in the forthcoming elections. It is an intended aim to dig at the personality of the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki. Yes,that's what's meant there's no point beating around the bush. Ever since the unveiling of Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman as its gubernatorial flagbearer and other aspirants for other elective posts,APC (Kwara State Chapter) has yet to show their commitment or gives a valid manifestoes as to why their various aspirants should be elected and better still what they have in stock to offer Kwarans, rather they are more interested in undermining the personality of the Senate president. The APC in Kwara had made it very clear that this election is between Dr. Bukola Saraki and their various candidates contesting various political offices. So absurd, isn't it? From their gubernatorial candidate, to the senate and House of Representatives candidadates, down to the each and every House of Assembly candidates, all of them seem to have a common opposition candidate in the person of Dr. Bukola Saraki. If you approach any candidate contesting under the APC for any political office in Kwara state and ask about his/her plans if he/she is elected and you’ll be so surprised that they have nothing to offer, all what they are interested in is to dismantle the Saraki's political family at the expense of the goodwill of the people, imagine that. Early this year, there was a radio session where the APC senatorial aspirant DR Yahaya Oloriegbe was hosted by Sobi FM,a radio station in Kwara state that is widely known for serving as the APC's mouthpiece. During the questions and answers session, the presenter asked Mr Oloriegbe the reason why he is gunning for the post. Among his reasons was that to have an effective democracy system, the executive and legislative arms of the government must be from the same political party. I was dumbfounded and feel at lost at once. What kind of assertion is that to start with! This and many others are the foolery the APC,Kwara state chapter, is taking the citizens of the state for. They should however note that to rule a state or country, it's not by sentiments or campaign slogans. You make your priorities known to the people you are willing to govern and let them know if you stand for or against their collective interest. On the other hand, another malady going on in Kwara state at the moment is the recent penchant for thuggery and terrorism which is raising a serious concerns against the peace and security of the state heading into the forthcoming elections. There has been persistent case of billboards and campaign posters vandalism which has been generating into chaos and physical attacks from the supporters of the two leading political parties. |

kaybams1: Nigeria Politics is a Time Bomb and Saraki is the Judas Iscariot by Wunmi Akintide- Sahara Reporters
President Buhari‘s insistence that he was not going to interfere on the affairs of the Parliament is a major gaffe any way you slice it. The Parliament, as stipulated in the Nigerian Constitution, would determine whether or not his change agenda would fail or succeed in Nigeria.
As a Political Science major with a deep passion for politics, I can tell you that. The PDP began to irredeemably fall apart the day their own Speaker of the House, Tambuwal began to show more loyalty and favoritism for the opposition party, and there was nothing the PDP could do to bring him to order before the situation got out of control.
Only in Nigeria is that kind of disloyalty tolerated in a party official. It is true that the Speaker of the House must be neutral in his dealings with members as much as humanly possible, but the ‘river that forgets its source or origin’ as reminded us by Elemure Ogunyemi, the Ekiti country music idol, is bound to dry up sooner than later.
Tambuwal got away with his disloyalty because he figured out that he could only be removed as Speaker by a majority of members in his Chamber, and nobody else, as stipulated by the obnoxious Nigerian Constitution. Unwritten ‘laws of decency’ should have required the Speaker to do the right thing without being told, but because politics in Nigeria is all about self rather than the ultimate interest of the Nation and the institution, Tambuwal got away with his perfidy. Not only that, he went on to be called a hero and a consummate politician in a country where corruption has become a virtue and a way of life.
Everybody in the PDP knew he was to all intent and purposes an APC member, but the PDP and President Jonathan were in total denial. Tambuwal kept that advantage until the very last moment when he publicly admitted he was going to be the APC Governorship candidate in Sokoto since he could not run for President. He won the governorship election by a landslide. That could only mean he had been rooting for the APC long before he made it official. Even though Goodluck Jonathan tried to shake Tambuwal up by using the Inspector General of Police, Abubakar Abba by withdrawing his security details and the official cars and drivers assigned to him as Speaker. Tambuwal went to Court to challenge the move and won on legal technicalities. The PDP went into the last elections totally embarrassed and humiliated by their own Speaker, legislators like Bukola Saraki and Governors like Kwankwanso and Amaechi who openly decamped into the opposition APC.
In his own case, Tambuwal only stopped short of openly crossing carpet into the APC. He was widely known to have been holding nocturnal meetings with the APC Caucus while still claiming allegiance to the PDP.
The House of Assembly in Abuja under the PDP was a House of Commotion, Intrigues, Horse- trading and Bribery if you get my point. Even though Nigerians massively voted for change on March 28 and April 11, I can assure you that nothing has changed and nothing is going to change in Nigeria for two important reasons.
First, neither of the two major political parties in Nigeria today have any verifiable ideology that explains their value system and political leanings. Neither of them operates the kind of party supremacy that is so critical in every Democracy. Once the Party takes a decision, no member, however powerful or rich can change it, whether on the floor of the Parliament or anywhere else in Nigeria
The Action Group under Obafemi Awolowo became the powerhouse that made the Western Region the pace setter in Nigeria among its peers like the NPC and the NCNC. Rich individuals like Pa Alfred Rewani, late Pa Ajao and Pa Shonibare of Lagos were moneybags in the same Action Group, but they all had to abide by what the Party says.
Even Awolowo, arguably the most conscientious politician and strategist among our leaders, knew he could not achieve anything as party leader without party discipline and supremacy. Awolowo initially wanted to make free education in the Old Western region both ‘universal’ and ‘compulsory’ but the party settled for universal only. Awolowo had no other choice because the party was supreme. If Awolowo, the party leader, could do that, no other member could challenge the party and remain in the Action Group. Awolowo was that strict. It was not like the “animal farm” of today where a deserter from the PDP like Bukola Saraki would not take no for an answer because he is hell bent on becoming Senate President to gain immunity from public prosecution for atrocities he committed with “Societe-Generale Bank“ a public institution he plundered.
I don’t blame the APC for accepting “leprous” Saraki into their fold. The APC was like a drowning man that would cling to a snake at the time it accepted Saraki, and the gamble paid off big time in Kwara State, if not the whole of Nigeria. They must now deal with and tame the monster or suffer the same fate as the PDP suffered in Kwara. Saraki is a true son of his father. He is in politics not to help humanity but to laugh all the way to the Bank for his own benefit. As Saraki has become Senate President, forget it. That is the end of Buhari’s anti- corruption agenda.
I have cited the above examples to show that neither the PDP, nor the APC that dethroned the PDP for the first time in more than 55 years in Nigeria has anything other than selfish interest at heart. It is a complete outrage that Bukola Saraki, who destroyed the PDP for his own selfish gain is attempting the same thing in the APC.
Saraki is just like his twin brother in crime, Ayo Fayose, the current Governor of Ekiti. He is the Judas Iscariot of Nigerian Politics. Ayo Fayose, the outlaw Governor has got away with murder in Nigeria, so to speak, because Goodluck Jonathan’s policy was to join the rotten eggs of Nigerian Politics rather than beat them. Fayose openly encouraged the PDP members in the new Senate and the House of Representatives to muddy the waters for the APC and cause confusion by voting en masse for Sola Saraki as Senate President.
He has the effrontery to do that because, under the Jonathan government, he completely outmaneuvered the 19 APC legislators he drove out of Ekiti so that the 7 PDP legislators could continue to do as they liked with him as the overall boss. One would have expected the new APC Government to have paid more attention to Fayose and what he was doing in Ekiti prior to the APC’s victory in the last election. The APC dropped the ball on Fayose, who took advantage of the APC’s silence and ineptitude to wait out the 19 legislators till June 6th when his new set of PDP legislators took over the Ekiti House of Assembly.
I have completely lost confidence in the APC and President Buhari for being so sluggish and slow at doing what was expected of them. I could not understand the strategy of the APC to put Ayo Fayose on notice that his antics in Ekiti would no longer be tolerated by Buhari. They were supposed to hit the ground running, but grew so careless that Ayo Fayose treated them like amateurs in Politics. The man beat the APC arms down in Ekiti, if the truth must be told. He definitely put “Okaraba Baba Edi“ on the APC and juggernauts like Ahmed Tinubu. The wizardry of Ahmed Tinubu has been rubbished by Ayo Fayose. I agree that it is true that there are more urgent problems to tackle than facing Ayo Fayose, but I condemn the APC, President Buhari and Vice- President Osinbajo for completely taking their eye off the ball in reference to Ayo Fayose and the ugly developments in Ekiti.
I am also amazed, if not totally shocked, that one week after Buhari’s inauguration he still has not found the time to issue a statement on the 60 Nigerian officers and soldiers awaiting execution for not fighting Boko Haram with their “bare hands”. Boko Haram was fighting Nigeria with tanks, armored vehicles, AK-47 rifles and other deadly improvised bombs like what Biafrans call “Ugbunigwe” during the 1967 to 1970 civil war. These soldiers were expected to face this people with prayer and fasting. That is just wicked.
It is unconscionable that Buhari, a retired 4-star General has not seen the need to issue a statement on the fate of those brave soldiers within a week of his inauguration. The cowardly Chief of Defense Staff and the other heads of the Army, the Navy, and the Air Force who worked with Goodluck Jonathan are still there, enjoying their loot from Jonathan. Buhari looks insane to me right now to keep quiet and not say a word. Many, if not all, of those officers should have been let go immediately.
It also beats my imagination that the same Buhari, up till now, has not said a word on the fate of Captain Sagir Koli, who blew the whistle on the covert operations that helped Fayose rig the election in Ekiti on June 21. Brigadier-General Aliyu Momoh, the commanding officer of the operation is still in the Military, while Sagir Koli has had to runaway from Nigeria to avoid assassination or victimization by his commanding officer. Yet, Buhari still wants Nigeria to believe he is the Messiah, coming to save Nigeria. If you believe that crap, I have an island to sell to you in the Pacific. Time is of the essence. Buhari is damaging himself irredeemably in the court of public opinion for all of the above.
I was one of the strongest supporters of General Buhari during the election and I still support him, but disillusionment has set in for many of his supporters across Nigeria and for me. I am not so sure any more from what he has done in his first two weeks in office. I am more worried today about his silence than anything else. I know there is a limit to how much he could have done in 2 weeks but he should at least have issued some statements to assure Nigerians that he is not totally lost or overwhelmed by the sheer enormity of the problems he has to confront.
I suggested to him more than a year ago, that he needed to set up a Rapid Response Team to draw attention to many of these lapses, since he was not avid reader of briefs sent to him. He should have had somebody looking into social media to compile information and advice he needs. The Sahara Reporters of New York is a major resource that he cannot afford to ignore. If he is in any doubt, he should talk to his friend, Pastor Tunde Bakare, who visits the website every day before breakfast. Buhari is losing momentum and I deeply regret that. Buhari has told us enough about Nigerian problems. What Nigerians want to hear now are his solutions to these problems. I am not talking of solutions that would require the involvement of the Senate or the House of Representative or the Judiciary. I am talking of solutions that he is able to do with executive orders. He should make himself and his Vice President a shining example of the change he wants to see in Nigeria just like El Rufai and his Deputy Governor have done in Kaduna State. They both declared in their inaugural address that they would both accept a 50 percent salary cut until further notice.
That Buhari is yet to name a single member of his cabinet and principal officers close to 2 weeks after inauguration is proof that the man is not ready for prime time. I am saying it out loud because I want the man to succeed. I can tell you right now that what Buhari has promised to do in Nigeria cannot be achieved with the level of sloppiness and lethargy he has shown in his first two weeks in office. He offered Nigerians a sartorial list of the problems he wants to tackle but he has not articulated the ends, the ways and the means for solving those problems with any comprehensive strategy. What he is trying to do cannot be done with his current level of commitment and drive. It is sad to say but it is the truth.
I fully understand that Buhari is trying to convince his critics he is no longer the maximum dictator he used to be as a military ruler but he is doing it the wrong way by looking weak and incompetent. By openly telling Nigerian he would not interfere in what is going on in the Parliament, he became spineless.
I would not be complaining this much if I saw some convincing evidence he really wants to strengthen the supremacy of the APC. I see no evidence of a guiding ideology that should influence all of Buhari’s decisions. I see none of that and I think the observation should be of concern to all Nigerians like me who voted for change on March 28 and April 11. The APC won 59 seats in the Senate and the PDP won 49 in the new Parliament. The APC won 213 out of the 360 seats in the House of Representatives leaving the remaining 147 to the PDP, the APGA and the other parties in Nigeria. If you compare that margin of victory with what normally obtains in stable Democracies like the United States, Britain and the State of Israel, you will all see that the APC has a majority that is comfortable enough to be able to effectively and successfully govern Nigeria. What if the margin of victory for the APC was much smaller? The APC has no excuse to give right now. If it fails it will have nobody but itself to blame.
I don’t care about the horse-trading currently going on in the Parliament. The bottom line is that the legislators sponsored by the majority party must be seen to have won. That it did not happen is a bad omen for Nigeria’s nascent Democracy under the APC.
I don’t care how the APC and Buhari do it, the duo of Saraki and Ekweremadu as Senate President and Deputy President is as a major humiliation and defeat for the APC, and more so for Buhari and Osinbajo, and a bad omen for the interest and future of Nigeria. I rest my case. Bro, permission to share this as a post... |

Oyinprince:
Within a couple of hours Jefa spent in his apartment, he was able to rearrange and clean up the place. it was during this process that he remembered his mother's diary and the picture in it, he tried to get it from where it was kept but then he remembered seeing it with his sister when she had come to get it at the hospital. He thought it was time to know more about those who sent his family packing from Lagos to Borno, he decided he was going to ask Tara about it when he saw her.
A soft knock on the door startled Jefa who had dozed off on the sofa, he rubbed his eyes with the back of his palm and got up immediately. The knock came again.
'Who's that?' he asked, the only person he was expecting was Omotara but he still needed to be sure it was her and not any of his neighbours who would like to check if it was an intruder that entered into the house.
'It's me, Omotara.' the reply came.
'Okay, hold on.' Jefa walked to the door and opened it. Tarasha walked in quietly and stood by the left side of the door.
Jefa closed the door and turned back, 'I thought you were not going to come,' he said, staring into her eyes.
'Of course, you know I would come. What reason do you have doubt my words?'
Jefa sighed, 'truly, I have no reason. I'm sorry,' he said and proceeded to sit on one of the sofas.
'You can go home now, it's safe.' she said. 'I'll be joining you later.'
'Safe? Are you sure?'
'Yes, I am. I'll come and meet you later at home.' she said and moved closer to him with a white nylon bag in her hands. 'I bought you lunch on the way.'
'Hmm... Thanks,' Jefa said peeping into the nylon as he collected it from her.
'You're welcome,' she replied.
'Today, I thought Henry would be coming back home, I was planning to make dinner for all of us, a special treat.
'Well, you can still go ahead and make dinner,' Tarasha urged. 'Henry would be fine.'
'How would he be fine in the prison?' Jefa asked in a pained tone. 'I know what it is like to be a prisoner, so he must be as suffering greatly.'
'Well, I'm going to see him now and I'll make sure he's granted bail, I'll be coming home with him hopefully.' she said.
'Are you sure?' Jefa asked with his face brightened up a bit..
'Once everything works out well,' she said. 'So please go ahead and make your special treat for us tonight. Okay?'
'Okay.'
Tarasha smiled and then turned, 'I have to go now.'
''Ermm, I need something from you.'
'What's that?' he turned back, thinking he wanted to request for money.
'That diary you took from this table, I need to use it today.'
'Oh! She widened her eyes.' It's okay, you'll find it in between under your mattress, I've always kept it there for you.' she said with a smile.
__________
'Hmm...' Chief Rikau had his chin in his hands as he stared at the pictures shown to him on the screen by Rex. 'I know him, he must be the one behind Samantha.' he added.
Don and Stainless continued to stare at the pictures without talking, even though they knew they got the wrong person but whoever the wrong person was; he was still their enemy since he lived in the same house as Tarasha. They had seen him come out from the gate and had taken several pictures of him.
'What do we do with him?' Rex asked Chief Rikau.
'I don't know yet, I'll call the Vice President and we'll decide together.' Chief Rikau said as he got up from the seat and took out his phone. He walked out of the room and entered into another room where he was alone.
'Hello Sir,' Rikau spoke into the phone after his call was answered.
'Chief Rikau,' the Vice President replied from the other end in a gruff voice.
'We've found out the person supporting Samantha Osman,' he said.
'Who is the person?' Chief Elvis replied excitedly.
'Danjuma Jeffrey, the son of Late Doctors Danjuma and Lydia.'
'Oh!' Chief Elvis exclaimed. 'I thought you guys finished the whole family,' he added in a tensed tone.
'No, we only took the parents out that day and a little boy. The initial plan was for us to only take drop the parents.'
'True, I remember! But which of the kids is now grown up enough to have the boldness to come for all of us?'
'It's their first son, he was one of those that were taken in for training into the then Haram group, he graduated and did his first two mission but only for him to come one day ,I think after he listened to some dumb preaching and tell us that all we've been saying are lies, that he was no more interested.'
'Hmm, so you guys caused this problem.'
'No, we caused it together.' Rikau argued. 'You financed us then.'
'I never believed in your course, we only used you for political reasons.'
Rikau paused, it was hard to swallow the bitter truth, Chief Elvis had hit him hard with it.
'But you still owe me your life,' Chief Elvis continued after sensing that Rikau was hurt by his last words. 'If I didn't intervene, you won't be alive today. You would have been sentenced to death.'
'No, you didn't do it for me, you did it for yourself.'
'Shut up and don't argue with me, I did it for you. I was in authority then and I could have killed you silently in prison but I chose not to, but I decided to reward you for your faithfulness to us.'
Chief Rikau was quiet.
'I think we should have just wiped out the whole family that day, you know that was the main reason I called off the officers securing the town, their family was the main target of the day, we just gave you the opportunity to also use it for your course.'
'No Chief, I agree it was also an opportunity for us that day but if we had attacked that family alone, it would have raised suspicions...'
'But how come he's still alive?' Chief Elvis cut in.
'He was one of the guys we set up for the soldiers to arrest, I think he was granted pardon after some years.'
'And how did he know about all the Chiefs who sponsored you?'
'He's the eldest son and he could have known that his parents were running from you guys?'
'Hmm... We have to do something quick about him and make sure he knows why we do it, make sure he dies a painful death. I don't want to return and find him alive.'
**15 minutes later**
'I want to go with you guys,' Chief Rikau said to his assassins.
'You may not need to, we could bring him here.' Rex said.
'I want to go and kill him in his house with my hands,' he insisted.
'If you insist,' Rex said, putting on his hood to cover his face. 'Do you want to come in with a covered face?'
'No, I have a message for him, he has to see my face.'
'Okay, we will deactivate all the cameras outside before you come in,' Rex added. 'But the cameras in will still be on, because they are made with high security. We'll take out everyone we find in there.'
______
**Forty five minutes later**
The officers led Henry out of the cell, he had handcuffs in his hands and legs. His face was swollen and badly bruised, his white singlet had turned to a cloth of three different colours; brown, black and bloody red.
'That's her, your niece Tara.' the officer said, pointing at the lady where she was seated. Henry could not see well with his eyes from afar, he felt tipsy as he tried to look. The officer motioned him forward and they got to the table were she was seated. There were several other tables in the same place with prisoners and their visitors.
'You have only six minutes,' the officer said and left them alone.
For the first few seconds, Henry refused to sit, he kept staring at the face. This wasn't Tara, it was an impostor, so he thought until she spoke.
'Please Henry, sit ' she said to him in a teary voice.
Henry was baffled, this was her voice he heard but it was a different face.
'Sit down, my face is disguised.' she said and wiped the tears in her eyes with an handkerchief, careful not to clean the makeup.
Henry then took his seat and continued to stare into her eyes. It was the same eyeballs as Tara, he was now convinced it was her.
'I want to get you out of here,' Tara continued in low tones. 'You have to cooperate with me.'
'No, I don't want to get out of here.'he replied confidently.
She stared at him in shock and disbelief, how could he say he didn't want to leave the place with his body battered and his face deformed, almost unrecognizable again.
'What are you saying?' she asked in a shocked tone. 'I could help you get out by tomorrow and leave to another country.'
'No, I don't want to get out of here, it won't stop the police from coming after you. I want you to get out of here and go to somewhere far with your brother.'
'What do you mean?' she asked, baffled, she couldn't understand his kind of mentality.
'I'm already labeled a criminal, it's of no use for me to escape. But I want you to leave before the police tortures me enough to get out information about you.'
'I don't understand you.'
Henry stretched his hand on the table and held her palms, he squeezed it and felt the warmth. 'You need to leave this country with your brother, leave to a place you can start a new life of positive impact, where you can live your real life, that's all I want now, I don't need my freedom.'
'But I can't leave you suffering here,' she argued.
'You have to,' Henry insisted. 'You have a bright future and for that bright future to come, there has to be a sacrifice.'
'You don't have to make the sacrifice, I did all I did myself and I have to take responsibility for my actions.'
'No Tara, I can't let you do that. It's going to bring an end to what I see that you can become, you have the qualities in you to make the world better, and that is where you'll find your real happiness. I don't want freedom in expense of your happiness, I'll be free in my heart once I see that you're doing good.'
'No, Henry,' Tara shook her head in tears. 'I can't let you do this.'
'Please let me do it,' Henry said, using his hand to turn her face back to himself.
'No, I can't.'
'Yes, you can. Look at me Tara,' he held her face with his two hands. 'I don't have any other life to live if I get out of this place, my joy is to see you happy and alive.'
'No, I need you to get out of here.' Tara said stubbornly with tears now dropping from her eyes.
'You don't need me Tara, you need to be happy and I've told you what to do already.'
'I need you Henry, I can't be happy without you.' the words dropped off her mouth like a bomb of so much impact, both to her and Henry. 'You've showed me how to be happy and I want to do it with you.'
Henry stared at her face in silence for some seconds, how he wished she had said that a long time ago, maybe a solution would have been found and things wouldn't have deteriorated to this level. Maybe they could have left the city and go to somewhere else where they could be happy together but things had gone worse already, he had to make this sacrifice for her to continue living happily.
'The people of the world are cruel and they've made me like they are,' she continued. 'If I want to be happy and live a life of impact like you've taught me, then I have to live it with you, I have to learn by watching you live it.'
Tears flowed down from the eyes of the both of them, their foreheads touched each other's with Henry both hands on her ears.
Tara moved her head backwards a little but Henry's hands was still on her ears. 'Please, let me help you leave here and we can go somewhere else afterwards.'
Both of them spotted the officer who had brought Henry coming back with another officer, they knew the time he had given them was up.
'It's too late Tara, it's late; I don't want both of us to be hunted for life, we won't still be happy that way. I've taught you all you need to know about a happy life already, you have to live it without me and You CAN'
'No Henry,' Tarasha said with tears rushing down her face.
'Time's up, please get up!' The officer pulled Henry away from Tara.
'Please do what I've said,' Henry pleaded as the officer pulled him up.
'No Henry, No,' she screamed in tears and watched Henry as he was being dragged away.
'Please, do what I said.' she could hear Henry's voice echo in her head as they dragged him out of sight.
*
**About an Hour later**
Tarasha was still in tears as she drove back home, the tears had almost washed away the makeup on her face but she was still well disguised with it. She continued to ponder on all Henry had said. She wished that he would agree for her to help him get out of the place but he had refused and said that the only way he could be happy was if she did what he suggested; and that was she and Jefa leaving the city to go and live somewhere else happily.
The thought was too much for her to bear, she pulled over to the side of the road and broke out in tears. After a minute of crying, she cleaned her face and picked up her phone. Then she dialed Cole's number.
'Hello Boss,' Cole's voice sounded eager. He had been on a long break and was already expecting the boss' call.
'Hello Cole, how are you doing and how is Aisha?'
Cole's reply was delayed for some seconds, he was surprised at his boss' tone. 'What's the matter boss?' he asked instead of replying her greeting.
'Cole, I'll send twenty million naira each to you and Aisha's account after I'm done with this call, I'm paying you off, I won't be assassinating again, so I don't need your services anymore. I advice that you live a good life with the money and stay away from killing people.'
'Boss...' Cole had lost his voice, he couldn't believe what he just heard.
'Goodbye Cole,' she said and ended the call. She closed her eyes for a second and took in some air, she opened them back and started her car engine. It was time to go and meet her brother, get him to leave the country with her and live that fulfilling life that Henry had taught her and sacrificed himself for.
She had just driven further for only five minutes and was few metres close to the house. She met with two cars approaching from the return lane, she recognized the driver of the first car, it was Don Daniel, Cole's former boss. She was staring at him but he couldn't recognize her because of the disguise. Then she saw in the second car, seated at the back seat, the man who defiled her at eight, Inspector General Rikau.
Fear gripped her heart, the worse came to her mind, she could only think about Jeffrey. She increased her speed and got to the house in three minutes. In a matter of seconds, she had parked her car and was rushing into the house.
There was nothing suspicious around, the door was firmly locked. She took out her key and entered into the house quietly. Then she saw in the living room, something that would change her life forever. Jefa.
Jefa was lying in his pool of blood, two bullets hole were in his forehead and chest.
That was it, the only reason she could live a happy life gone. Her whole body vibrated as she knelt beside the dead body, the diary was on the floor stained with a drop of blood.
She saw a note written with her brother's blood as the ink. It read, 'The Danjuma's family must all be wiped out, we are coming for you, Omotara.'
She tried to hold in herself but it was impossible, she let out a scream that reverberated throughout the whole city.
'Cole, start preparing Aisha's heart. The killing is just about to begin, I'll pay you triple of what you earn already.' Tara said into the phone.
END OF SEASON ONE I have neither seen you physically neither have I known you before but you have really made my last five days so interesting and worthwhile. I pray God bless the womb that conceived you and may your ocean of knowledge never runs dry. Bro,please do all what you can but please don't let the story ends on a sad note for Tarasha. It wasn't really her fault, she's just a victim of a wicked society. I have two requests from you bro, first I want the PDF version sent to my mail please on abayomiaremu269@yahoo and the second is the permission to paste it on my blog, you will be greatly credited. |
Politics / Re: 2019 Presidency: Why Kwankwaso Has What It Takes To Defeat Buhari – Fani-kayode by BerryAnny(m): 10:46am On Sep 23, 2018 |
fallout87: He is right.
Kwankwaso is the intelligent choice. Combine him with a good VP candidate and PDP has a shot if US, UK and others apply pressure on Buhari to do an actual free and fair election.
- Atiku for me isn't a sincere option. - Saraki for me will not make a big enough dent in the Northern region - Tambuwal is seen as a traitor and won't garner enough support. - Markarfi is good in heart but has health questions and doesn't have the clout to defeat Buhari. - Dankwambo is intelligent and loyal, but again his state went to Buhari... he doesn't have the clout to beat him. - Sule Lamido isn't a serious candidate.
What of Taminu Turaki,David Mark and Jona Jang? Lol |

issa goal, worl's second best contending for world's best next season
cc: Lalas247
This guy has retired some players and will make some players look useless, players like Eden Hazard who think and feel without them EPL will crash, Daniel Sturridge who gets injured for 6 months after every single game he plays, Lionel Messi who he's replacing as world's second best, Neymar who doesn't know what he wants, Pogba who has turned into a hair stylist model and co. Talk about hardwork and dedication.
Thumbs up Salah. Egypt's second best in the recent presidential election. You have successfully composed a complete bullshit up there. Those footballers you mentioned up there have successfully proved themselves over and over. Salah is just having a good season and every other players too had had that at a point in time in their careers. Let's Mo Salah proved himself for the coming years and then he can have my respect. The likes of Benteke,Michu,Agbolahon,RVP,Suarez, and other footballers had also shone for a season before but became completely useless afterwards. 1 Like |
