You cannot compare a cloud technology with a CRM. You can only compare a career in AWS and Microsoft Azure or Google cloud. Salesforce and AWS are two different career pathway. In fact AWS can be integrated with salesforce. So why the comparison.

I would advise you go for Salesforce Admin as a first choice and PM as second choice. Salesforce gives you leverage to negotiate better.

Salesforce does not stop you from learning javascript, infact their frontend framework called Lightning is like javascript/angular syntax, while the the backend language called APEX is like c#/java/SQL syntax. So you will surely enjoy it.

People respect Nigerians who are professional in their various fields. Don't mind the perception. My formal company in South Africa once got a contract because I presented the project prototype to the company that hired us, their feed back was that, they have never seen a Nigerian Developer before and Nigerians are very smart and good in whatever they do. I was later hijacked by the company.

Honestly there's so many jobs but I haven't been serious on applying. The few I have applied to I have had interviews was even in the middle of one sef before my boss Inceeased my salary to what I cant imagine na so I tell them I no do again. I wanna get pd2 as an exit plan. If I leave my job I don't wanna work a frontend dev job again for at least 3 years. It took me 8 months to prepare for pd1 but that's cause I was working and studying for the GRE. A serious dev can get it in 3 to 4 months but for someone who isn't a Dev probably a year or more.

You cannot learn javascript theoretically. You need to buy a laptop and get your hands dirty. You cannot read Javascript like a novel. You can only learn by coding. Most things you read then may be absolute. Infact there now exist a new ways of writing Javascript called typescript.

It does not require any configuration, infact, you wouldn't need to download any software as Salesforce is cloud based advance CRM technology.

I am currently studying for the Developer 1 certificate. Kindly checkout their website and navigate to trailhead or their community. I believe all your questions will be answered.

From my experience, their tutorials come with task that must be completed in the playground, and after completing the task, you will earn a point. Hence, I am not sure if you can do that offline. That said, I will advise you against downloading YouTube video because salesforce technology is not static, things keeps changing and the only place you can be guaranteed to learn towards the cert is trailhead.

I'm currently undergoing a Software Engineering Training ( Full stack using the MERN STACK ) but due to some challenges which has to do with finance , Accommodation and some unforseen circumstances I've not been able to meet up with the training...but of recent all these has been settledanf sorted out. But I'm kind of lacking behind as regards the training...so to all the tech Guys on the Forum please based on your experience , can I learn JAVASCRIPT in 3 months enough for me to combine it with my HTML , CSS & BOOTSTRAP skill I've already learnt in the training..cos I have a goal of getting an Entry level/Junior level Software Engineering job early next year.

Sorry i came late to the party. Going into Software engineering requires dedication and perseverance. You do not need to dedicate 3 months for Javascript as a technology, rather i would advice you to dedicate 3 months in MERN Stack building various projects that can be added to your git and CV, ask questions on Stackoverflow and also provide answers to questions even if the question was asked over 5 years ago.

Suggestion:
IF YOU DON"T LIKE MERN STACK, WHY NOT TRY MEAN STACK.
Personally, I like MEAN STACK and i am currently working as a MEAN STACK engineer. I assume that most Nigeria engineers will vote for React against Angular, however, enterprise seems to favour Angular because it is a FRAMEWORK. My CTO once said that had he knew, he would have built all our products with MEAN Stack. Ofcus, many people may not agree to this submission, but i must tell you that we have a lot of MERN STACK developer compare to MEAN, hence MEAN STACKS DEV do not struggle to get hired.

Advise:
The first thing you need to understand is CRUD operation with MERN, Learn how to consume external API and reintegrate API with Node/Express, play with Mongoose DB. Create a React project with Firebase/Firestore as database, with these, you will learn how data can be updated in view without making an http request using snapshot listener, how not to make unnecessary http request. If you focus on these for 3 months, you will be more productive/employable as a Junior Engr compare to focusing on Javascript and html/css and boostrap.


Make sure you add all your dummy projects to your CV.

I see things differently, Can you search for Salesforce administrator job and learn more about the requirements. You can use trailhead playground to study for the certificate. Once you have the cert, you will be employable globally.
