What makes Project Fame different from the next? Why not settle with Idols Nigeria?

Project Fame had contestants from Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia and Sierra Leone. This gave it a bigger reach and better feel.

I think the cost of sponsorship also went over the roof over the years and since they had major cuts in their marketing budget, this has made coming back an uphill task. I really wish they could come back

MTN Project Fame, Idols Nigeria, The Voice Nigeria, Glo Naija Sings, Naija’s Got Talent and many others, what is the difference between each one? When I saw the title, I was surprised because Idols Nigeria has run since 2019 or so till a few weeks from now. Lovers of these types of shows have a huge selection to pick from.

They are all talent shows that aims at identifying singing talent, the only difference is the format, creators and probably sponsors.

There's been wildspread rumour suggesting that MTN Project Fame might return this year (2025) for season 10 after a 8 years break due to the sponsors pulling out after season 9 in 2016.
