NYSC / Re: #NYSCAllowance Is Trending On Twitter, And Here Is Why (See Reactions) by biggieoflife: 9:02pm On Nov 06, 2018 |
Ishilove: it's not ok to dismiss the agitations of this 'generation' of corpers as mere desire to live like a king on 19,800. there are many realities of today's NYSC that you may not be able to relate with. To start with, most corpers spend fortunes on relocation for fear (theirs and their parent's fear) of being posted to any of the crisis areas in the country. Then they have to get their own accommodation because most PPAs no longer provide one for their corpers. My parents confirmed that these issues were not a problem when they were serving..so they were more willing to help me augment the 19,800 during my service year. Not everyone wants to live like a king on allowee. the truth is that 19800 is clearly a joke given today's realities 1 Like |
Celebrities / Re: Family Reacts To Baba Sala’s Death Rumour! by biggieoflife: 1:07pm On Oct 09, 2018 |
I wonder why almost all the reports on Baba Sala's death have failed to come with pictures of him in his prime? Laziness? Anyway, I didn't quite live in his era but I vaguely remember watching a few movies he appeared in and a particularly hilarious talkshow on which he was a guest. Oversized and flamboyant costumes were his signature dressing. So much so that, he became the generic name for anything xxl. There was Baba Sala-sized bournvita, body cream, powdered milk and baba sala bread. May his soul rest in peace. |

milemimi93: you are typing on a white man's device, in a white man's language and posting to this forum via the internet which is also a white man's invention. You aren't independent. The whites are still ruling you. Don't even fight it |

Aquariann: you're just being mischievously idealistic. this is Nigeria. most of our politicians are career politicians. primaries (whether direct or indirect) are just another payday for them (esp grassroots politicians) the fact that you are suggesting that Tinubu will not attempt to influence party members with MONEY and his reward system is ridiculous. And you know it. |
