Why ain't I seeing Bauchi State and Ososo in Akoko Edo LGA of Edo State?

Those two places made me a great hiker.

They both have countless and exquisite serene hills, mountains and wide animals to keep you addicted to hiking.

Heading to Bauchi right now for some fun. Keep you guys posted.

Hey boss you missed out one state which I believe should top your list.

Bauchi State.

Can't start naming the locations but I grow up there and it made me a born hiker.

On my way there to celebrate with my Muslim brothers all the way from Lagos.

Bauchi is fun

Seeing him demising without getting medical help was the worst time of my life. Your baby sister will overcome surely. Talk to her to keep a positive spirit towards staying alive and also take some good advice on this forum back home. Godspeed.

My father gave in to the cold hands of death this morning. Thank you all.

BiniShrine:
Gory picture attached please.

Doctors in the house pls come to my aid.

Has this gone beyond bed sore?

Is there any hope for my dad to get healed?

Is there a remedy for the wound on us back to get healed again?

Is this beyond medical prognosis?

Should we look for alternative?
Please mod do the needful.

Is there a particular variety one can go into commercially?

Will an hectre of land be a good start for commercial cassava farming?
Horizon2:
Cassava. Higher yields.

Thank you for standing up for me but just let it go pls. It's a very small world and we all are entitled to our view about our fellow humans. Peace...

The time you used to reply him will have been more than sufficient to further input. This is someone's Dad here ...
Health / Re: Help! My Dad Is Rotting Away (Graphic Photo) by BiniShrine(m): 6:57pm On Apr 03, 2017
Thank you boss. We are doing everything in our power to give him the best so far. We are always there 24/7 with him too. So far someone adviced we use alovera mixed with honey which we have unlimited supply to.The exposure can't be covered as it is but properly ventilated manage. You are blessed
omoharry:
You said your Dad was once treated for a Cancer related ailment. what your dad need is a proper care in a better hospital..take him out of that hospital..that wound is suppose to be ppdressed, i dont know why i was left exposed?.I had this same experience when my mum drifted into coma..on hearing of the dead of her eldest son. she was Diabetic too..which even made it worse..her laceration was like this and it really smelled very bad..we turn her regularly and ensured that the nurses were always there to perform their duties. The way you would look for money to organize for your dad's burial if they had told you dad was late should be the-same way you should look for that money to get him to a proper hospital for him to receive a proper treatment. As long as he still has life in being..dont lose hope yet.
Health / Re: Help! My Dad Is Rotting Away (Graphic Photo) by BiniShrine(m): 8:15am On Apr 03, 2017
Thank you so much sir.
GogetterMD:

Good decisions. Moving him on an almost hourly basis is a necessity. The bedsore might still take a little while before it heals. A swab/small tissue biopsy of the sore for MCS might be done to ascertain the appropriate antibiotic(s) to combat the infection
May the almighty grant him complete healing
Health / Re: Help! My Dad Is Rotting Away (Graphic Photo) by BiniShrine(m): 10:57pm On Apr 02, 2017
Thanks. No history of diabetics just the initial prostrate cancer which made him bedridden.... Then hernia which has been operated more than three times.
samhark:
1-i have treated worse case than this and with patience it does work well
2-this kind of case needs more information and investigation, u need ti find out if he is diabetic anf a lot of other texts
3-with this kind of case he needs some medical treatments, nit dressing the wound alone, he needs to take some injections and drugs
4-all this cant be done without seeing him, so i advice u take him to a special hospital, as suggested teaching hospitals or government general Hospital around u will be the best
Min while
U can clean it very well with normal saline and get original honey to apply, do this every day but please go to the hospital
Health / Re: Help! My Dad Is Rotting Away (Graphic Photo) by BiniShrine(m): 10:40pm On Apr 02, 2017
We have agreed he should be moved ASAP to a teaching hospital.

Also, we are going to get a certified nurse who will be taking care of him during the night especially as regards his body movement

Then application of alovera mixed with honey.

Finally, the touch of Christ Jesus.

We only put him on that bed to be able to clean the cotton bed and bed spread he sleeps on.

I will go in search of the *sudocream tomorrow. Thanks
Damseldammie:
Hello ! Pls firstly take him off that bed in that hospital, it is the bes that causes that... it is called a bed sore. Because it's a nylon using to cover the mattress & its generates heat a lot which is the main causes of that sore. The remedy is very simple, get a sudocream( I may not get the spelling right because its been long we used it for my old man) which you'll applying to the affected area frequently & make sure you're turning him very often too so that fresh air can always get to the affected area. Though, the hospital crew won't allow you to be with your patient all the time but try all you could to administer my prescription.,. you'll thank me later I tell you
Health / Re: Help! My Dad Is Rotting Away (Graphic Photo) by BiniShrine(m): 8:33pm On Apr 02, 2017
It's more complicated than you think. I was told the teaching hospital made my elder bro to sign a document before he was taken away from them... But with the whole suggestions from nlanders family., seems I will have to take him back to the teaching hospital after we all. So, the family intend going back to them tomorrow. Hope I am clear?
Xaviermax11:
OP no need for contact or enquiries just take him to either of these hospital ASAP, as a matter of fact tomorrow we should hear he's in one of them. So sorry for your Dad's state, needs plastic surgeons and I feel u wld get their services in either of these hospitals

Thank you so much for this well informed suggestion... I really do appreciate you guys. Will be visiting a Teaching hospital tomorrow for possible transfer. Also trying to reach a nurse that will be doing night shifts...getting natural honey and Alo Vera won't be a problem at all.... But will the hospital allow me to administer suppliments to him when he is under their care?
samsilo:

Very sound , well informed and calm comment unlike lots who rush to just write something . It is so sad our practice of medicne is still so backward that the doctors will not admit to OP that they have exceeded their level of competence . My father died in a teaching hospital after some weeks almost 20 years ago of symptoms shich went on for months , today I could investigate and diagnose them in 2 weeks max.
The main problem here from OP's write up would seem to be the prostate cancer , anyone who is weak and not moving a lot will almost certainly develop a pressure ulcer. I have seen a few that went deep to the level of the bone but with simple nursing as advised (Clean dressings and keep turning ) they heal surprisingly .
The biggest challenge would be the cancer( I have known people who lived for 15 - 20 years) with well managed prostate cancer
Health / Re: Help! My Dad Is Rotting Away (Graphic Photo) by BiniShrine(m): 3:52pm On Apr 02, 2017
The whole stuff you can see that started from a Teaching hospital..... Religious reasons... Some people refused to touch him
MountCliff:
There is solution.
your Dad has bedsore. it can be totally cured. Take him to a standard hospital, a teaching hospital most preferably. there he will be handled by a Dermatologist. He needs wound debridement or or graft transplantation.
you need to do something quick before he develops sepsis.

He won't be able to make the journey. Too frail n weak. [aquote author=oludaniels777 post=55191607]Im a physician in the US.
Yes its a bed sore also called pressure ulcer or decubitus ulcer.
It is infected.
Your dad needs a extensive wound care and a plastic surgeon
He will most likely need skin graft eventually
In Nigeria this will be available at Orthopedic hospital like NOH Igbobi in Lagos

You are so right...share more insight pls
ReneeNuttall:
A decubitus ulcer, also known as a pressure ulcer, pressure sore,or bed sore is an open wound on ur skin.
It often occure on the skin covering bony areas. The most common places for a decubitus ulcer are:
The hips
The back
The ankles
The buttocks, and it is common among the elderly people, disabled people, people who spend longer periods in the bed or wheelchair also people who can't move parts of their body without help.
THIS CONDITION IS HIGHLY TREATABLE AND RECOVERY IS GOOD WITH PROPER DIAGNOSIS.

From what I was told the whole bed sore and negligence started from the state teaching hospital. Thank you. I will be having a meeting with my elderly ones to get more about his health history.

Lemme run down to Niima and the Airforce hospital someone suggested. I have limited time to stay in Bauchi
joinnow:

Is your Dad diabetic?
Take him fast to teaching hospital
Also lobby with the nurses to use Honey in dressing the wound daily.
Wishing your Dad quick recovery.

I can understand.... Trying to rest the short time I have off my annual leave to expediate action.

unknown87:

Guy I'd suggest you take him to the federal staff hospital Jabi Abuja. I don't think he can do the Lagos Journey in that state. Is that bed sore?? It looks infected already the gangrene would be everywhere in his blood and will cause him to keep sleeping and then coma and..... god forbid.
