BafanaBafana:
The sacked pastor in this case was explicitly told about income. He was told the church should be able to generate money to run itself, and shouldn't be running at loss.
They made a mistake in giving him the explanation, thinking he won't go public because of the fear of the wrath of God, but nigga is a Tiv man, dem no dey fear like that, he spilt everything.
Imagine if the church was in bonny island, and they couldn't grow in numbers, but have a fat income, would they sack the pastor?
Besides, when they talk about winning souls, do they mean leading people to Christ, or bringing members to their church? Because I don't see why you will be dragging someone who is attending a church already to come to your church, claiming to be winning souls.
Furthermore, I don't know if I have ever seen a living faith member who is living a Christlike life. Church is just gymnastic for most of them. The only thing they take seriously is paying of tithe, which is the emphasis of their messages by the way

Dont care who you are, all I care for is God to bless you for this piece..

God Is A Person Of Peace

He is not asking us to make life difficult for ourselves to worship him, but unfortunately human beings don't know what worshipping God is all about.

Worshipping God is humanity
Worshipping God is giving
Worshipping God is humility
Worshipping God is unity
Worshipping God is having people's back
Worshipping God is keeping people's secret
Worshipping God is tolerance
Worshipping God is letting God judge
Worshipping God is guiding, not imposing

Apparently, most Nigerians are not objective in their approach to issues, they let religious bigotry and ethnocentrism get the better of them.

Las Las JESUS WINS.

Always JESUS will WIN.

FORVER : JESUS ISSA WINNER!

Shame to devilhimself and his children tongue

Gospel Joke of the Weekend.....

After countless years of Jesus being in the spotlight,
The Devil had had enough.
He issued a challenge to Jesus; whoever writes the longest story on Microsoft Word wins.
Jesus accepts, and they get to it.
After hours and hours of frantic typing, there is suddenly a power cut.
The Devil is furious, whilst Jesus remains calm.
As soon as the power comes back, he boots up his computer and has lost all his work,
before seeing Jesus calmly typing from where he left off. Lucifer is not happy at all,
He was calling Jesus a cheat,
Then God intervenes, proclaiming Jesus the winner.

The moral of the story?
JESUS SAVES!!

wink wink wink
(Only the wise will understand wink)

Indeed, a shoe that contains a drop of human blood, named Satan shoe, has a Bible inscription on it and all you could think is Jesus saves?

Firstly, for me, I have no problem with the hijab. But you guys seem to to getting this whole thing twisted.
The controversy comes from where it is worn, a school has a uniform students adhere to. you know the uniform, and you decide to add something to it. If other parents bring in their religious things into the school, what would happen?
There is a uniform, please teach your wards to adhere to the uniform, when they get home, they can put on whatever they want to add. It's that simple.
There is a uniform that should be adhered to, i say again, there is a uniform that should be adhered to, know this and know peace.
Your wards can tie their hair with something else, as i think the hair is the main covering for ladies.
The school is not an Islamic school, and there is a uniform to be adhered to, please adhere to the uniform and change when you get home, simple.

Thats simply what they are saying, but unfortunately non Muslims do not understand this.. Hijab is simply a covering or veil.

Muslims should use their Hijab where it is tolerated

Or none

Remember I didn't just write without giving landmark where it could be easily traced

There are secondary school fully funded by government that there uniform is hijab like ahmadiya school in my town I talked about

All Christian there where hijab as that's the uniform
my sis graduated there

Even if your claim is true, it's not relevant here because that's not the general practise in all Muslim govt schools...I attended a public school S.T marks in osogbo and no hijab was allowed, females students were mandated to wear beret while just a few kilometers away, another public school ansarudeen even though had hijab as part of their uniform, never forced the Christians to put it on.

And in all, if Christians are comfortable with compromising their religious beliefs or make it a second priority or see it as option depending on situations, does it mean everyone else should?

The question is why should your sister be forced to act against her belief in the name of education? And same goes for Muslims girls..

That's a 21st century question and if the Christians do not feel it's an important query to raise, we muslims do!

Peace!!

From my personal experience:

I attended high school in ogun state, the school uniform is very simple and straight forward no hijab, but beret, Catholic rosery if found on your neck will be destroyed, black belt or sandal will be seized only brown allowed

There's another school across the town know as Ahmadiyya high school ( those from Ago Iwoye or schooled in Olabisi Onabanjo University) ogun state will know, has hijab as there school uniform and all their girls wear trousers, no skirt - that's the uniform, even though the school is fully state funded and has more Christian students

Muslim started there issue and start forcefully make their girls wear hijab in my school, even though the school authority said splitting of uniform may lead to security issues as attacks can easily be targeted at Muslim or non Muslim because they are easy to identify but those Muslim will have none of that

Back to amadiyya school that have default hijab as its uniform this exact same people trying to force hijab on previously Christian School violently reject hijab to be removed as uniform for non Muslim in Ahmadiyya school

Islam is a religion that can't survive competition or neutrality, they force on others what they can't accept

Will hisbah in Kano only destroy beer belonging to Muslim sellers? The answer is no

They will force their Sharia on all religion including the traditional religion who sometimes need alcohol to complete their religious rite or procession

Back to my school, my school was finally arm twist to allow hijab but you will think that's the end of the matter but trust Muslim to always want more

The hijab was agreed to be initially short and should not cover beyond the Brest, but some alfas start wearing hijab that is almost reaching toes, far below the knees for their children, another issue start, how long of hijab is too long

another big and serious fight start on that before I graduated

I know very soon after hijab as been finally approved, the next fight will be fight if pudah

Some core Christians female do not wear trousers, but NYSC uniform is trousers, if it's Muslim that don't wear trousers they will have been burning down NYSC orientation camp in North and attack any corper wearing such, such is the troublesome nature of some Muslims

I'll really appreciate Muslims to quote me and explain what I've said above

Go to your Islamic school and stop being a nuisance somewhere else. Dem swear for you people? Even if dem swear for you people, you suppose have sense. Always creatung nuisances and chaos everywhere. Nonsense and ingredient.

Yes, I will talk about the school structure laid by the church! Don't you Muslim have yours? Why not go to the place? Why causing nuisances in a place and structure built by the church?

If you didn't care about enrolling in a place built and laid by the church, it's very stupid of you to care about the uniform. Btw, you haven't answered my question on what's the meaning of "uniform". Go to Muslim schools if you want Muslim settings. Dem swear for you people?
The way you emphasize of Christians schools, seems you are oblivion of the fact that Muslims also built schools that were taken over by the govt.. And the question you should rather be asking is if Christians students in Muslim schools are forced to wear hijabs even though it's part of the uniform...

This is funny. I simply asked you a question but here you can't answer any of such question.

Toxic attitude? Was I the one stoning peaceful protesters just because your nuisances weren't tolerated in a school? I mean who's toxic between me and the entitled lunatic throwing stones?

I ask again, what's the meaning of "uniform"? Answer this or shut your hole.

And I repeat, the land and the structure of the school was built by the church and not by Muslim nor the government. Sink that into your head. If you want Muslim settings, go to Muslim schools. You dey maaad? I repeat!

If by now, you're still talking about the church building those schools, then you're still far behind to the reality of the day, hence my response does you no good. And just you may know, your toxic fellows refused Muslim students entrance into the school despite court's judgement.

If develop countries could allow Muslim corps put on hijab, then why the noise here? Why kill yourself over something that doesn't affect you?

We had no female students wearing hijab in Federal Colleges even in the North all through the 70s to the 90s to the best of my knowledge. ALL female students of both public and mission schools wore berets or hats. When did hijab suddenly become mandatory in Islam? It's not one of the 5 pillars of Islam nor is it in the Holy Koran which states modest dressing ....same as in the Holy Bible.

A uniform is a leveller and promotes unity.

I just pray that they don't succeed in dividing our youth and/or initiating them in to extremism. BH and ISWAP are still with us as a major issue. Let's beware of creating more battle fronts.

I'm sorry but you ain't addressing the main issue which is the highest level of intolerance by the Christians...

The main reason why issue of hijab is coming up now is simply because those schools have been taken over by the government, hence every student has the right to dress in accordance with the provision of his/her religion as permitted by law as long as it doesn't alter the original uniform and I don't see how putting a piece of cape over your head changes the uniform. Before now, when the schools were still owned by the missionary, no Muslim student dared wear hijab to school just because of the Christian authorities can not just withstand the sight of it, whereas, hijab has always been part of the uniform In Muslim owned school but the Christians were not forced to put them on.. So one may want to ask, why was the hatred for other religion so much that you can't even withstand them fulfilling a part of their religion In your territory? Does it affect you in anyway? Or you just detest the religion and those who practise it?

I've worked both in Muslim owned and Christian owned private schools, and while the Muslim school had teacher for CRS, the latter didn't allow IRS to be taught to Muslim students..

And to further prove that it's not really about the uniform, the hatred is for the religion and all that promotes it, if for instance a (SU) decides to extend the lower part of her uniform beyond the knee length which is against the design of the schools, no one raises an eyebrow, If a Christian student puts on a beret which may not be part of the uniform, no one complains, so why the issue when it comes to hijab?

While in school, all female students were mandated to put on a beret in a govt owned school and no hijab was allowed, and mind you, the beret was not part of the uniform and even if it was, it represents a faith, so why should those who do not believe In their faith compelled to dress like them and even punish them if they fail to comply?

So the problem simply is intolerance and above that, hatred for other religion.
