The man just nailed it. How can somebody who is already living a comfortable life in Nigeria and has some reasonable savings and achievements in Nigeria just wake up and decide to japa without any family member living there who invites him/her to come over; without a confirmed job offer from a company abroad, no admission into school oversea. Just burn the money he managed to save and destroy any little progress he manage to make only to go and start life from square zero in a foreign land where he would not even know where to start from. Many people are mad shia!

You got a restraining order stopping you from carrying out your investigation and you could not go to appeal court to set aside the restraining order? That means you were not serious to begin with.

Politics / Re: Senator Nwoko Initiates Bill On Monthly Payment Of Rent by bitbillionaire: 9:45pm On Jan 27
I think the yearly rent payment is the best o. That way once you can gather money and pay for one year you know you are free from house rent matter for that year and can focus on other things.

My only suggestion would be that there should be a law restraining landlords from insisting on a one year rent payment if the tenant can't afford it.

This thing should be a matter of mutual understanding and agreement between the landlord and the tenant.

This mummy zee and her husband need to know the wisdom of quitting when the ovation is loudest. Its time for them to be less active on social media, go underground and enjoy the little wealth they unexpectedly and miraculously got. If they must be active on social media, they should resist the temptation of either insulting people or responding to people's insult.

Tacha just revealed to the whole world that she is a vile, bitter, toxic, rotten soul judging from her reply to mummy zee's comment; I'm happy she met her match in the person of Buchi

The man has a point.

Abuja by the virtue of it's geographical location at the center of Nigeria and it's role as the capital city of Nigeria is the mist detribalised city that actually unites all Nigerians, unlike Lagos where yoruba people no wan gree say 'na no man's land'. It makes sense that the headquarters of all Federal Parastatals should be in Abuja; otherwise, kukuma scatter the agencies and Ministries to many states.

Tinubu ought to have maintained the status quo.

If the current CBN's building in Abuja is no longer enough to contain staff nothing stops them from building or renting another office in the same Abuja for additional staff they have.

Moreover, in this age of internet, zoom meetings, whatsapp video calls, CBN staff in Abuja doesn't even need to come to Lagos for any thing when they can request for electronic version of whatever documents they need from any bank anywhere in Nigeria while staying in Abuja

Politics / Re: Stop Targeting Our Politicians In Corruption Probe, Northern Groups Warn EFCC by bitbillionaire: 10:04am On Jan 22
The hypocrisy, ethnic bias, and bigotry of these northerners is something else. Are they telling us that the ex-governors from southern states whose names are in the list are not as important as their northern counterpart? Some states in the south such as Ekiti and Enugu even have the names of 2 ex-governors from the same state in the list.

And some of the southern ex-governors in the list are even prominent APC members who have served APC faithfully; I was surprise to see APC members like Fayemi, Timipre Sylva etc. in that list yet no southern socio-cultural groups or individual made any noise. Even Peter Odili who have a court injunction restraining EFCC from probing him was not spared. Who do these northerners think they are?

Anyway, evil must never be allowed to triumph!

EFCC must probe, prosecute and jail whoever is found to be corrupt no matter where they come from, no matter how highly placed.

I see it as a useless, meaningless prayer; not necessarily a bad one. How many Redeemed members are even generous and hospitable enough to welcome visitors into their house and give the food and drinks?

The irony of this type of "prophecy" is that it will make people to avoid going to Redeemed members for any form of help because everybody start suspecting them. So, it's a useless prayer bound to be counterproductive.

Politics / Re: Reinstate Betta Edu As Minister , AUF Urges President Tinubu by bitbillionaire: 4:08pm On Jan 17
Well, if it has not been proven that she actually stole money why can't she be reinstated?

Let's analyse this Betta's case with some cold logic based on the available facts:

On 20th December 2023, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management wrote an official letter to the Accountant-general of the Federation in which she approved payment of the cumulative sum of N585,189,500 'for programmes and activities of the Renewed Hope Grant for Vulnerable Group'. And she listed the states that would benefit from the programme and how much is to go to each of them

You will agree with me that all the stated activities and programmes on that letter are legitimate activities within her official mandate. Non is illegal or outside her official mandate. But what created problem for her is where she stated that the payment is to be made into the account of the Project Accountant in charge of this particular programme the fund was meant for.

Now, let's ask ourselves some questions:

Did Betta Edu personally siphoned public fund into her personal account. NO!

Was it her personal account she authorised the Accountant-general to pay the money into? NO!

Was she ever given cash to share to vulnerable people and she decided to pocket the cash? Again the answer is NO!

Was the money actually paid into the Project Accountant's bank account and it was later moved from there into Edu's account or accounts of some other individuals the money was not meant for? We are waiting for the investigators to investigate and confirm this. But so far, the Accountant-general has told the world that the Edu's instruction to make payment into the private account was not carried out.

Could it be that Edu did not have ulterior motive, after all, but acted on information she was given? May be someone in the Ministry convinced her that payment for the particular activities and programmes she was about to embark on is normally paid into the Project Accountant's bank account who would from there transfer into relevant government agencies account? May be. May be not. We need the investigators to confirm this after thorough investigation.

If we must judge people let's endeavour to base our judgement on available facts rather than joining the bandwagon of mass sentiments on social media.

LandMann:

Foolishness kill your head. Below is screenshot of my trading account on. How much have you earned this past month?

Go back and reread my message and digest it properly.

This life is about giving and receiving. It's about having a sense of responsibility and duty for people we call our loved ones. It's irresponsible people that their parents will work hard to bring up properly and then turn their backs on their parents when their parents become old.

It is not necessarily about giving your parents money and other material things when they're old. Caring for them is beyond that. They won't have need for much of those material things that you covet and hold close to your chest like smeagle in lord of the rings... Just like you did not consume a lot of material things when you were young. But their care and nurturing is what helped you survive and hopefully thrive. Even if you turn out to be poor in life, it won't stop you from being able to care for your parents. The little things you will do for them; spending time with them, bringing drugs when they're ill or taking them to hospital, preparing or bringing food for them, feeding them when they're too fragile to lift a spoon; all these are ways of showing care and they won't burn a hole in that your empty pocket you guide jealously.

You hide behind the internet to write rubbish that you can't openly say in front of your parents. I challenge you to go and tell your parents your opinion if you still have parents. I can guarantee you that they'll place a curse on your bald head and disown you.

Please be guided

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: When You Are Too Old To Work by bitbillionaire: 3:55pm On Jan 15
LandMann:

You think like you're not in Nigeria.

Invest in your kid's education and teach them good morals. Support them and help them become successful. When you are old they're the ones that will support you too whether in cash or in kind.

Not a bad idea. But the question is: in a world where nothing is guaranteed, what happens if at that old age your kids find themselves in a situation where they themselves are struggling to survive despite all your 'investment' on them? What of those who lose their kids due to some man-made or natural disasters after 'investing' so much on them? Can we say they have lost their investment and hope for survival at old age?

LandMann:

Only reason you are spreading this kind of message is probably because your parents did not take care of you when you were young, hence you don't want to take care of them too when they are old.

To understand how foolish and selfish your response is, remember that you were once a baby and vulnerable. Your parents had other things to do but they sacrificed their time and resources to bring you up and protect you from the clutches of death. Even if they didn't give you gold and silver, they gave you life. Which is more valuable?

Now you can stand on your feet and here you are telling the world that children shouldn't take care of their parents when the parents become old because such children have their own lives to live.

That is very unafrican, and you're the type of child every parent will pray not to have

Just look at how sentimental you are here. You thoroughly twist, distort and misinterpret what the guy is saying just to suit your prejudice and sentiments.

You sound like one of those africans who can hardly feed themselves well but rush to bring kids into the world and then put themselves through immense stress and pressure to train those kids because they see the kids as their pension plan and only hope of survival at old age. So, you get subconsciously emotional and insecure when someone suggest that you should not think of being a burden to your kids at old age because of what you go through to train them.

Don't get me wrong, we all reap what we sow. If you sow good seeds into your kids and train them well and help them to be established in life and they are comfortable, they will not forget you or let you suffer. And even if they are not there for you for whatever reason nature and God will reward you in some other ways.

But what you will benefit from your kids should not be a primary reason for bringing them into the world and training them. Establish yourself first and be comfortable with your life before you bring kids into the world. And your motive for bringing them into the world should be to show them unconditional love. Meaning wherever you are doing for them you do it unconditionally without any selfish motive. Otherwise you will only end up bring kids that will perpetuate the cycle of poverty and suffering in the world.

Yes. NNPC and other oil companies have no business being in Lagos. it's an aberration for oil companies that carry out over 80% of their operation in the south south to shun major cities in the south south and come to Lagos to establish their head office and pay tax to Lagos. That is like robbing Peter to pay Paul.

All should have move their Head Office to Abuja or pay the associated cost.

Like i said no excuse warrant such move.

Making all the banks to move their head office to Abuja would be another way to go about it. But do you know what it would cost the banks to buy land and start building new befitting head office from scratch in Abuja after spending hundreds of millions, if not billion, to build the one they already have in Lagos? So I think what CBN is doing is more cost effective.

Moreover, don't forget that Lagos is a commercial centre of Nigeria. So banks naturally find it more profitable to have their head office in Lagos than any other city in Nigeria.

It's tempting to read tribalism into this plan. But let's be realistic, since most banks and other financial institutions have their head office in Lagos, I think it makes sense and saves cost for departments of CBN responsible for for banks' supervision to be moved to Lagos.

islam allows divorce instead of cheating

So because of the lust for a good strong prick that can only stimulate pleasure chemicals in her body for some minutes she decided to take action that would damage her kids psychologically and render them emotionally unstable for life?

I understand that any married person has a right to terminate the union if they are no longer interested in the marriage. But unless there is a tangible evidence to proof that your spouse action is a threat to your life, or is preventing you from moving forward and making progress in life and you can't be the best version of yourself as long you are in the marriage; I find every other reason rather flimsy and not really enough to break the union especially if kids are involved.
