Sports / Rangers Bag N50m Reward From Enugu Governor For NPFL Success by bitcoin33(m): 12:04pm On Jul 14
The Rangers International Football Club of Enugu has been rewarded with the sum of N50 million by the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, for emerging champions of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season. Governor Mbah made the pledge during a courtesy visit by the Rangers officials and players to the Government House in Enugu on Saturday.
According to reports, the Flying Antelopes secured their 21st NPFL title after a 2-1 away victory over Gombe United on the final day of the season last weekend. In recognition of their momentous achievement, Governor Mbah who has been a strong supporter of the club, congratulated the team's management, players and coaches for bringing pride and honour to the state with their triumph.
The Governor was quoted as saying "Rangers International transcends generations, acts as a unifying factor to many and so it is not just about winning a trophy and making us proud but putting Enugu State in the hearts and minds of people...so I want to end by saying that you have made us proud and we would in turn also make you happy." In addition to the cash reward of N50m, the team will also receive unspecified non-cash gifts from the Governor.
The Rangers General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku also thanked Governor Mbah for his unflinching support, noting that the team's successes were possible due to the rehabilitation of their home stadium by the Governor after 2 years of playing elsewhere. It remains to be seen how the massive financial windfall will be utilised by the Players and team management in their quest for continued success.

Politics / Former US President Trump Evacuated From Rally Venue After Assassination Attempt by bitcoin33(m): 3:54am On Jul 14
As reported, a shooting took place during a rally held by former president Donald Trump in Pennsylvania.
From the details gathered, Mr. Trump had just begun addressing his supporters when sudden gunshots rang out. Security agents immediately swarmed the stage and hurriedly rushed Trump off to safety. Witnesses say they saw him flinch and place a hand to his ear, with blood visible on his face and clothing afterwards.
Reports indicate the shooter opened fire from an elevated position some distance from the venue. Secret Service agents unfortunately had to fire back and succeeded in killing the shooter. Tragically, however, at least one other person from the crowd was killed in the attack and two others were left critically injured. Law enforcement is treating this as an apparent assassination attempt on Trump's life.
The current President, Biden, has strongly condemned the violent act, as have leaders from both political parties. International leaders have also spoken out against such political violence. However, the heightened tensions and deep divisions in America have led some to speculate if this attack could be politically motivated.
An investigation is now ongoing to uncover the shooter's motives and any possible connections. But for now, it appears a tragic act of violence may have targeted, and come disturbingly close to, the life of a former U.S. commander-in-chief.

I will provide updates as more details emerge. Please share your thoughts on this unsettling incident.
