jazzman7711:My brother thanks for calling the poster out. We really need to spread the word about the REALITY of the UK, You could actually be saving a life The depression I've seen in many of the recent Japa people is not a joke at all. Especially the married ones. I know Nigeria is rough, I get it, but people need to understand the reality of the UK. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Borrow222: You are the one who is very funny my guy I am here in the UK and doing very fine, I know the system inside out. I can't count how many people me and my friends have recently had to help. Japa people who have found themselves broke, some not even able to eat. The other day we had to go and give one lady pots and plates as her house was totally empty and she could not afford anything. Its people like you that sadly give many Nigerians a false picture of the UK. If you read my post again, I never said the UK is not better than Nigeria, or that some people can't make it here. What I said very clearly is that the UK is NOT FOR EVERYONE. If you do not have in-demand skills you will find it very very difficult to have a sataisfying life here. That is just a fact 4 Likes 1 Share |

ttmacoy:We really need to spread the word, to those planning to Japa to the UK. Its just not worth it. With half the money you can start a business in Nigeria tht will be much more profitable in the long run. The UK is simply not the country to come and hustle. If you a skilled profesional, who's skills are in demand here (Doctor, Dentist, Nurse..) then you have a good chance of getting a job and making a resonable living, for the rest, please do not do it. There are better options if you must Japa. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Japa: UK Unemployment Situation Worsens by bjdon: 6:11pm On Mar 12 |
Anybody who spends loads of money to come to UK right now, needs their head examined or better yet, serious prayers. The only people who should migrate to the UK, are skilled workers that have secured a JOB from Nigeria. Coming over here to 'hustle' will just leave u depressed, broke and angry. The economy is not in a good shape and will get worse this year. You have been warned O! 42 Likes 4 Shares |

Politics / Re: VAT In Nigeria Is Very Low - EU/ECOWAS by bjdon: 11:44am On Mar 12 |
I hope you all know that in Nigeria, all VAT is collected by FG, then shared across the states. So states like Lagos, Anambra, Edo, Rivers..end up subsidising states like Ekiti, Gombe, Zamfara. |

Thank you My able Governor. it's so sad that you get the blame for the ineffecive and corrupt FG. All this talk of Federal raod needs to end now. Every state should have full responsibliities for the roads within it's borders. In terms of construction and mainteance and also the collection of any tolls. |

Politics / Re: Top Member Of Obidients Exposed Looted Party Fund Used To Buy Properties by bjdon: 10:26am On Mar 05 |
All of this nonsense started because the stupid Obidients, were trying to dictate to Edo people who are next governor should be. If Tinubu could not impose a governor on Edo, who the heck are Obidients to think they can do that? Is it because we voted PO you know thin PO can be a godfather in Edo? A word of advice to the Obidients, leave Edo state matter to the Edo's. We REALLY don't take kindly to outsiders trying to interfere in our business. 2 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: CBN Policies Won't Drive Economic Growth — Obaseki by bjdon: 4:58pm On Mar 04 |
CBN is clueless. When inflation is driven by over spending, resulting from cheap and easy credit, then tightening by raising interest rates is the correct approach. Nigeria's inflation is not that kind. The inflation in Nigeria is not being driven by people spending too much, it's been driven by the fall in the value of the currency, in what is essentially an import dominated economy. Putting up interest rates will not solve that problem at all. The only solution is to curb imports and increase exports. One of the ways to that is to encourage manufacturing and processing, but raising interest rates actually makes it harder for such firms to raise capital. Obaseki is spot on. Sadly he won't be listened to, again and in some months time, the truth of his words will be clear for all to see. Again. |

beardedboy: This is why Nigeria can NEVER move forward when people like you argue for things that are just plan wrong. By your logic because one ministry has done something wrong every other part of govt should be able to do the same. So what next? Navy create their own university, Airforce create their own university, police create their own university, EFCC create their own university, ICPC create their own university, customs create their own university.... The universities we already have are underfunded and falling apart, rather than focusing on improving what we already have, people like you would be more than happy to just keep opening more and more mushroom institutions all over the place. I've always maintained a nation gets the leaders it deserves Nigerians are not yet ready for serious, results oriented, prudent govt |
Politics / Re: Merging Army University, NDA Will Give B’haram ‘upper Hand’, Zulum Tells FG by bjdon: 11:03pm On Feb 29 |

Politics / Re: Merging Army University, NDA Will Give B’haram ‘upper Hand’, Zulum Tells FG by bjdon: 11:01pm On Feb 29 |
SoNature: Which funds is the university generting? Where in the world does ANY kind of educational establishment generate signfiant revenue to contribute to the nations defense? Please let's just call a spade a spade. This was nothing more than a vanity project from the former chief of army staff to locate something in his hometown. If a super power like the united states of america has only military academy (West Point) and the UK has ony Sandhurst, then there is no reason whatsover why the NDA is not sufficient for our officer training needs. The so called military university should be merged with the NDA without delay. We need to start doing things CORRECLTY in this country if we are ever to move forward. I've got absolutly no problem with the FG pouring extra funds into Borno to support Primary and secondary and technical education. |

Ekpenuwa:I slaute my brother. You quite right many people that comment on Edo politics don't actualy live in Edo state. Obaseki is a tested fighter and PDP has a solid lock on Edo south. Oshimole understood that, which is why he tried to rig in an Edo south candiate. Central were loyal to Obaseki in the last election and now he's repaying them wth an Esan candidate they will surly support. Like you correctly said ony Edo North might go APC. One thing I will mention is the choice of running mate in PDP is very important. I hope the rumors of Lucky's sister are not correct. That will be a big negative for PDP |

Politics / Re: NLNG Grows LPG Production To 1.5 Million Tonnes, Begins Naira Sale by bjdon: 3:19pm On Feb 29 |
Paraman:This has NOTHING to do with Tinubu. NLNG is a private company that govt has a stake in. It's operations are not directed by govt, and govt does not get to appoint it's management team. That is why it's a successful company that actually delivers to the Nigerian economy, unlike the corruption driven NNPC |

What the heck is Army university? Total nonsense. We already have NDA There is no need for another degree level military institution. The next thing you will start having 'Army universities' all over the country. It should never had been set up in the first place and the govt is totally right to scrap it. Zulum should focus on primary and secondary education in his state 46 Likes 1 Share |

What is your skill set? Do you have skills that would get you a good job in Europe or the US? Are you looking to use the student route? If so do you have money for fees and money to maintain yourself? Have you decided which country you want to migrate to? The only advise I can give you is do your research VERY WELL. Japa is not for everybody. Some folks make a good success of it, others are still struggling many years later. 5 Likes |
