Phones / Re: What The Hell Is MTN PayGo? by blackboy12(m): 12:40pm On Jan 20, 2011
MTN PAYGO is the new tariff plan that MTN has introduced to show real value for money with no hidden charge whatsoever. on PAYGO, you have the opportunity of registering 6 numbers comprising; 4 MTN Numbers, 1 other number plus an international number on your Friends and Family and make calls for 20k/sec or N12/min to those special numbers.
Also you can register one special number ( Magic Number) for N250 flat rate and call that number free of charge, all day, all night for one MONTH!!!!!! can you beat that?
Also you can purchase bundles that will enrich your calling experience Text (HAPPY to 131) - 22 Onnet mins, 30 Onnet SMS @N400 valid for 30 days
(FUN to 131) - 60 Onnet mins, 200 Onnet SMS @N1500 valid for 30 days
(SMART to 131) - 250 National mins, 250 National SMS @N6000 valid for 30 days
Phones / Re: Mtn 10mb Fraud by blackboy12(m): 1:55pm On Jan 06, 2011
hey guy, your 10MB from MTN isnt a fraud. you actually connected your 3G phone to a laptop and was browsing right? well the 10MB is for browsing on the phone and not meant for the laptop. so what happened was that the bigger the screen of your laptop/phone, the more kilobytes it will consume. so a 10MB that should last for some hours on the phone, would actually not last 5minues using a laptop/desktop.

Phones / Re: MTN Nigeria GPRS [Includes Configuration Settings] by blackboy12(m): 8:53am On Nov 10, 2010
MTN GPRS is real and working peeps. i use a Nokia N95 and it works perfectly either on GPRS of 3.5G. and i hear its now 5k/KB of data. The setting are: username: web; Password: web; APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net; Port: 8080; IP: 10.199.212.2. it works everywhere. maybe for others that claimed its not working, should re-check their settings.

Phones / Re: Dstv Mobile A Scam From Mtn by blackboy12(m): 10:23am On Nov 09, 2010
@maingate1, guy my own DSTV is working perfectly even though they have yanked off ss3 whichn i believe it is the right of DSTV in their terms and condition to do as they like( a pity). if you are using the Nokia 5330, kindly remove the SIM and insert another SIM to the phone and subscribe again for the service, it will work smoothly. you can now return the SIM back into the phone and repeat the process.
Phones / Re: Mtn Slashes Blackberry Subscription Rates! by blackboy12(m): 9:31am On Nov 08, 2010
MTN blackberry service for one month is 3k, while weekly is 1k. which other network charges same rate? lets face facts and say the truth. the price reduction is good for business and i know others will follow soonest. thats all what we want in naija so everybody can have value for their money spent. Am not an agent of MTN like some people said but i use MTN and etisalat but i will always stick to my MTN Linel.

The MTN Modem can work with any SIMS for now, provided you have the other SIM Data settings to configure on the Modem. but soon and very soon, you might not be able to enjoy that priviledge again.
