Celebrities / Lil Wayne About Retiring by Blessingnice(m): 3:08pm On Sep 11, 2016
http://bisicheli.mywapblog.com/lil-wayne-about-retiring.xhtml

What’s going on, Weezy? Lil Wayne caused his fans to panic in the early hours of Saturday, when he tweeted that he was retiring, shortly after police were called to his Miami home.

“I AM NOW DEFENSELESS AND mentally DEFEATED & I leave gracefully and thankful I luh my fans but I’m dun,” he tweeted , tossing his followers into a tizzy.
On Friday afternoon, Miami police were called to his home following reports of a shooting. ABC 10 later reported that it was a hoax call, the second time it's happened in almost 18 months.
It’s unclear whether the tweet was directly related to the incident, or if other factors were at play.

Education / Re: Eight Ways To Improve Your Writing Skills by Blessingnice(m): 7:02pm On Jul 14, 2016
Bbsharon:
1 : Understand the principles of writing ;
You need to work on your grammar basics and work it to perfection as this in most cases is what people watch out for. Understand fully the elements of style and transition of words and sentences. Don't go about using quotes unnecessarily and punctuation marks,this should be used when needed. The Punctuation marks serves as guide to helping your readers relate to the idea or message you intend to pass on.

2 : Expand your scope of reading ;

Build a stable reading habit and read books that enlightens and broaden your scope of knowledge. Don't just read articles with pictures alone, you need to develop your mind to read books that can influence you positively and help your writing.

3 : Build a passion around your writing ;

 Creating a unique style of writing for yourself effortless most times comes from your passion. You need to love what you are doing and what you write about. There is no absolute  joy in writing what you yourself can't even relate to. When your passion is built around your writing things become much more easier, you will be able to express yourself better without barriers to your imaginations. Writing suddenly becomes fun and the ideas keep flowing.

4 : Associate yourself with like minds ;
Be around other good writers,read other people's work and evaluate, communicate with people that are intellectually sound in your field. Engage in meaningful relationships that can help you grow in the way you write. You can also have mentors or role models that you imitate their style of writing but still having your own unique style.

5 : once in a while when you write try reading it out to yourself like you have an audience, most times I do this and while at it  I pay attention to my writings. Doing this you will realize they are some words or sentences that would sound so pleasing to your readers and then you edit.

6 :  For a story writer you have to have catchy conversations and dialogues that your readers can relate to. Like when we read Chinua Achebe's works in an African setting you love the fact you can relate to his work and this keeps you reading.Add thrilling moments to your writing that keeps your readers on their toes and begging for more.

For a controversial writer you have to be good with facts and very knowledgeable, don't be a controversial writer and not be able to defend your works. I remember when I started reading Dan Brown's books I had all doubt about his finding but he keeps proving them like they truly exist. He puts ideas in your head and then build on your thoughts. Be a good but precise narrator and be very descriptive just like Chimamanda Adiche, her descriptive power of writing  is so strong, as even in cases where your readers can't relate to the environment or people you write about they can build up the images in their head which makes it more interesting.

7 :  Learn to be patient with your editing as you have to always make sure your mistakes don't turn to error. The power of good editing in writing can't be underestimated as it goes a long way to tell the kind of writer you really are.

8 : Finally, believe in yourself and the facts you have all what it takes to be that better writer or person you want to be. Just be yourself when you write don't  add unnecessary and ambiguous grammars or vocabularies you yourself don't really understand. Some young writers think writing is all about making your readers grab a dictionary when reading your works. It all depends on how you express yourself, either simple or complex english if the point in your writing is missing you have not written anything.

Write to express yourself, a thought or knowledge  and not  to impress.

Politics / Trump Slams Blair For Iraq War by Blessingnice(m): 8:19am On May 31, 2016
http://bisicheli.mywapblog.com/trump-slams-blair-for-iraq-war.xhtml

Donald Trump has slammed Tony Blair for doing a "terrible job" by invading Iraq and said he should have stood up to George Bush.
The billionaire presidential hopeful also spoke about Princess Diana and why he feels he is part British.
In an interview today, Trump warned the Chilcot Inquiry into the 2003 conflict - which will finally be published on July 6 - will be a "disaster" for Labour's former Prime Minister.
He told Piers Morgan on ITV's Good Morning Britain that in future, UK leaders should put the needs of their own country before that of America.
"I don't see it as war crimes," he said. "I just think he goes down as somebody who did a terrible job.
"Bush got us into it, that's a terrible terrible thing that happened."
Asked if he would respect a PM who ignored America's wishes, Mr Trump said: "Yeah, much more. It should be for the people, it shouldn't be a word about the relationship.
Mr Trump said he was offended by Mr Khan's "ignorant" remarks and even challenged him to an IQ test.
"He doesn't know me, hasn't met me, doesn't know what I'm on about," he told ITV's Good Morning Britain host.
Trump was interviewed by Piers Morgan
"I think it's ignorant for him to say that."
He added: "We have a tremendous problem with radical Islamic terror. Look at it worldwide.
"The world is blowing up and it's not people from Sweden that's doing the damage, OK?"
A spokesman for London's first Muslim mayor hit back within hours, saying: "Donald Trump's views are ignorant, divisive and dangerous - it's the politics of fear at its worst and will be rejected at the ballot box just as it was in London.
"Sadiq has spent his whole life fighting extremism, but Trump's remarks make that fight much harder for us all - it plays straight into the extremists' hands and makes both our countries less safe."

haconjy:
How to Add a Widget Below First Post in Blogger
This tutorial will show you how to make a gadget/widget to appear just below the first Blogger post.
First, you must understand that the usual gadgets provided by Blogger can be added only where the design section allows this. Yet, we can show any element, for example, an AdSense ad, an image, a flash file or a video etc...

So, what we will do in this tutorial is to display an element under the first post, this means that it will not be visible below the other posts. This is great when you use any automatic summary , although it is not a requirement.

This is easy to do and we will use the isFirstPost conditional tag for that element to show it under the first post published on our blog.

Adding A Gadget or Widget Below First Post in Blogger

Step 1. From your Blogger dashboard, go to
Template and click on the Edit HTML button:

Step 2. Click anywhere inside the code area and press the CTRL + F keys to open the Blogger search box

Step 3 . Type or paste this line below inside the search box and hit Enter to find it:
Selectable text below

<b:include data='post' name='post'/>
End of code
Step 4. Just below it add this code:
Selectable text below
<b:if cond='data:post.isFirstPost'>
<div align="center" style=" margin:10px auto; ">
Here goes the code of the element you want to show
</div>
</b:if>

End of code

Note:
- The bolded text indicates to where you should paste the code of the element (eg. AdSense ad, a widget).

- In red are the top margins (margin-top) and the bottom margins (margin-bottom), this is in case you want the element to move towards or away from the entries, also you can add any style like a background color, border etc...

Step 5. Preview to make sure everything is ok, then Save your Template by clicking on the Save template button. That's it!

Webmasters / Re: 3 Major Ways, One Fundamental Tip For Blog's Traffic by Blessingnice(m): 8:30am On May 19, 2016
toheebDOTcom:
Every blogger needs traffic! As sound and technically correct the tips below are, they won't give you the traffic you need overnight embarassed In fact, it is just only one tip that ensures a better platform for others. Well, with consistency, we will surely get there. Before i list the tips, here are 3 major ways to generate traffic to a blog.

1. Word of mouth. Yes, it is that simple! O'boy, i don get blog oo, check am for your phone na.

2. Drop a signature. When your mouth is not available to talk, let your hand do that for you. It is not a crime to write your blog url address beneath each of your posts on forums, is it Or use a moniker that easily tell the world about your your brand. For example, toheebDOTcom is my moniker, and i am very sure after the first six letters of my moniker you know it is a url address.

3. Let what you do, or write about, brings the traffic for you. You've probably heard of the statement- "Content is King". And yes, that's right! But who told you the King is the most powerful piece Ask the Chess Master, and that white bearded man will tell you it is the QUEEN! Markup is the Queen when it comes to Web Design, Search Engine Optimization and Traffic!

So what is the first and only advice i will give?

1. Choose a better theme! or simply code your blog the right way. Chikena lipsrsealed tongue Why It is the language of the web for crying out loud dude!

It is something for you to know the language called English; it is another thing for you to make meaningful statements that human ears can understand easily. When it comes to the web, html is the language and semantics is what makes common sense out of html to web agents and Assistive Technologies.

How do you do that
- Don't use a theme, or code a theme, that doesn't have a Document Type wink. You know that little text at the top of every webpage that says <!DOCTYPE html> or something of such That's what search agents uses to interpret your page. It tells them, hey bot! this is an html5 webpage so don't treat the header tag like an ordinary non-semantic div. The Bot will say again -"It is not a MathML page, So i repeat myself, Don't treat it as such!"

- Use the h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, and h6 tags correctly. These tags are not meant to make your text bold and big only, they define your document structure. Use h1 for the main topic, use h2 for sub topic, use h3 for Sub sub topic; Just like how we have section 1, 1.1, 1.1.1 and stuffs like that.

- Don't use css background-image instead of html img tag. They produce the same visual result but different meanings just like html b and strong tag.

Above, is a tip of the iceberg. When you get the above right! then these [url="https://www.nairaland.com/3100842/open-letter-bloggers-struggling-get"]tips here[/url] will make more sense.

Phones / Re: Latest Cheapest Call Tarrif Plan & Migration For MTN, Airtel, Glo And Etisalat by Blessingnice(m): 1:06am On Mar 30, 2016
Atalia:
In Nigeria, it’s well known that there is stiff competition among our network providers providing cheap tariffs for calling and data. Phone calling in Naija can be so exorbitant if you are playing “Big Boy”. Perhaps, this post isn’t for you, I’ve compiled a list of the cheapest call tariffs plans on all networks in Nigeria for those folks that’s really wants to spend less.

Furthermore, It’s left for you to choose wisely the most preferred among all. Below is a compilation of call tariffs…

FULL LIST OF THE BEST & CHEAP CALL TARIFFS ON MTN, AIRTEL, GLO AND ETISALAT

MTN

MTN iPulse

The MTN iPulse plan is a special call tariff plan basically designed for students on campuses across Nigeria which allows all calls to any network at flat rate of 11kobo per second but your first minute every day is charged at 40kobo per second. All iPulse users will also enjoy cheaper SMS rates at 2Naira only compared to the usual 4Naira SMS rate and it gives you 10MB data cap on 100 Naira recharge.

How To Migrate

To Migrate to MTN iPulse simply dial *406# or SMS 406 to 131

NB: After you must have successfully migrated to MTN iPulse, you must spend a minimum of N200 on calls or SMS to qualify for the Free Night Browsing.

MTN SmoothTalk Plus

For those that aren’t students, since the iPulse plan is strictly for student in campuses, you can migrate to this plan. MTN SmoothTalk Plus is a special tariff plan that now allows you enjoy a FLAT rate of 15 kobo per second for calls ACROSS ALL local Networks after the first minute of the day at 40 kobo per second and you will get 10MB data cap on 100 Naira recharge.

How To Migrate

NB: Free Happy Hour calls to MTN numbers from 00.30am to 04:30 every day (including weekends) as long as you have minimum balance of N100 in your account at 00:30.

MTN Zone

There was a time when MTN Zone seems to be the best tarrif for MTN to MTN calls, call rates are as low as 1kobo per second (1k/sec) and can go as high as 28k/sec depending on your location (zone). Lately, the tariffs have been modified and won’t go as low as 1k/s, minimum it goes is 12k/ sec which I deem as fair enough! Most hours of the day, it stays that way but during the evenings it goes as high as 28k/ s. I still rocking this plan though!
