At the end, APC should have been voted out. And most Nigerians voted against your party.

But then the vote got split..and we get 4 more years of bad government.

Personally, you guys should have voted out APC, PDP, LP And NNPP, and gone for the other parties. Put in new guys. That would have been real life change.

But you want the same old.

Tinubu won't make Nigeria better. The sad thing is that if Atiku or Obi won, they too won't have made Nigeria better. We keep on forgiviing the same old people, meanwhile we do not know the power we have in our hands.

No Nigerian can make Nigeria better. Only Nigerians can make Nigeria better. Read what I wrote again.

The problem is, Nigerians tend to think that every bad thing that happens means Nigeria has failed.

But come to think of it, when the same shooting in the US happened a few days ago, a lot of Americans said the same thing about their government.

At the end, I am not going to blame Nigeria. Nigeria did not tell those bandits to go and become criminals. There are millions of people suffering like the bandits are, and they chose to do the right thing....instead of joining the bad geng.

Murder happens. Like this one. No country has eliminated murder. At all.

Yes, APC government should have done better security wise, and northern governors should have done better...but all it takes is one joke deciding to take up his arms and follow Satan, and there is nothing no one can do once the joke's mind is made up. Not even better government or no government.

Nigeria did not fail her. The bad bandits who chose evil are responsible for the death of this girl. And yes, while our government should have done better, the ultimate responsibility is on the criminal gang, not Nigeria.

But why is Nigeria a breeding ground for all kind of unimaginable evil.

Anyone slow-witted enough to think his unverifiable personal anecdotes outweigh elementary logic - as you do - has no place telling others to "leave your village once in a while". I know this may be hard for a bush-pikin like you to comprehend, but some of us weren't born in villages to begin with! I've seen parts of the world wretches like you can only ever glimpse in your sad dreams, yet I still don't make the mistake of treating that wealth of personal experience as generalisable for everyone else. Save your anecdotal tales-by-moonlight for someone stupid enough to give a dåmn.

True, that you are. You think spewing lots of laughable dribble can cover up for the fact that you see nothing wrong in Igbos discriminating against Fulanis in the very same manner you claim Yorubas discriminate against you. All you've accomplished is making clear what you have a real problem with: not discrimination per se, but that you should be the victim of it. You're perfectly happy to cook up b*llsh*t rationalizations for treating others in a manner you'd never accept, even as you hypocritically scream "bigot" at every opportunity like a headless chicken running to and fro.

You are a bigot. I do not hate people, but I hate you and others like you, because you can't be classified as human beings. You disgust me. You know your kind are an endangered species and your erratic outbursts are just the pathetic attempt of the drowning man trying to stay afloat. Do not respond to me anymore you filthy bigot. I have no time anymore for your kind.

Lol, see projection! Is it a sign of your "non-bigotry" that you leapt to the assumption these herdsmen were unreasonably demanding free accommodation?

The difference between me and you is that I've actually lived in different regions all across the country enough to draw facts from my own personal experiences. It is more common than uncommon for herdsmen or Fulani men to live in unconventional housing units. without paying the owner of the land. It is understandable that a person like you isn't exposed to the world enough to know this fact. This is why people like you are recommended to travel out and leave your village.

This is the exact same complaint made by Yoruba landlords about renting to Igbos. It must be a sign of that "non-bigotry" of yours that you rush to make the very accusation against Fulani herdsmen that you hate when made in your direction ...

There's almost zero evidence to back up such claims. We could play a game of facts where you and I drop resources, articles, studies, and other hard evidence and see who comes out the fool. I stay in Lagos (presently. Although I travel alot like I already stated). I've never known an Igbo man to violently act out due to being kicked out of a place they were occupying rent free? If you were being truthful to yourself, at least you'd know how ludicrous if not laughable your claims are. If at all they are even true, it would not be up to a a fraction of the rate at which Yoruba squatters live and are evicted from uncompleted structures.

You say "non Yorubas/Hausas", but the truth is that their problem is with Igbos, for the very same reasons you find acceptable when Fulani herdsmen are the targets. The all too common claim made by Yoruba landlords is of how Igbos are all sweet and light before they are given accommodation, but they turn into obstinate, inconsiderate deadbeats as soon as they are taken onboard. It's an absolute certainty that the Yoruba landlords have a lot more evidence to back their position than you do against Fulanis, seeing as there are far many more Igbos looking for housing in Yorubaland than there are Fulani herdsmen seeking accommodation in Igboland. You're nothing but another brazenly hypocritical Igbo tribalist.

Like I said, you should leave your village once in a while. Anyone worth his or her salt would laugh at this last statement. Having lived in the east, the South South, the north and the West. You just make me laugh. Just four years ago, I spent a year in Asaba. The number of Yorubas there alone is at least 10% of the population. Enough so that many of the officials in the ministry and local governments are Yorubas. Asaba, being an Igbo state, mind you. And yes, any one who've even travelled through Asaba can attest to the number of Hausa/fulanis that can either be found by the road side or living rent free in shacks (mostly scrap yards where iron works are fabricated).

You're just another laughable simpleton bigot texting from the comfort of his forgotten village and nothing more.

What rubbish! Where have they demanded to be housed for free? What they are asking for exactly the same thing Igbos complain about in Lagos - to simply be allowed to rent accommodation without discrimination. Unless you have no shame, you can't claim landlord discrimination is wrong in the SW while acceptable in the SE.

If they pay then it should be criminal for them to be refused housing. Unlike you, I'm not a bigot. My issue is the common theme amongst Fulani herdsmen where they come to a place and forcefully habitate in that place without actually paying the rightful owners and when they are being driven out, they become aggressive. For your information, everyone now knows the dirty laundry of Yoruba bigots that many people have know for years. Many yoruba landlords refuse renting accomodations to non Yorubas/Hausas and that's a fact.

You think you will come to someone's land and demand to be housed instead of pay rent or purchase the property like everyone else. Igbos are too accommodating.

First thing, you could hire a private investigator. A real professional not the hooligans on Nairaland. You have a picture of your father so that's a start. You also want to find the date and time where your dad met your mother. Perhaps they met at a hotel and there's a record of the people who checked in that you can possibly retrieve. If you know where your dad worked then you job is already half done. You could go to the company, if they're still in existence, and inquire about their staff record for so and so year. If they're existing, get a fake journalism badge and show it to them. Most companies would be greedy enough to want their brand on the headlines. They may even pay you a press fee. Once you find the name and most likely address of your father. You can trace its location. People in the area may know where he is. Many people live in an area for a long time. You would stand more of a chance, asking the landlord or the person that lived the oldest there. They might remember a thing or two enough to point you in the right direction. Until you can get his cell phone number. Once you do, the job is as good as done. Each cell phone logs the current location of the owner. Some even have a way to track the location. You could contact the network provider and state your case. All this will be done by a private investigator anyway.

Personally, i think it's more trouble than it's worth. If your father wanted you, he'd have sought you out. Most African fathers are bums so you would be better without them.

Some people still dont get this. Maybe because they are very new to Nigeria politics or first time voters.

During the Presidential campaign. The candidate of the Labour party, Peter Obi exploited and explored our diversity, he capitalised on our religious differences in particular to instigate hate among the the two major religion we have in Nigeria. CAN, PFN turned themselves into a political group. Especially General overseers, they turned the altar into a political stage to preach politics and propagate hate against Muslim candidates.

Peter Obi's victory in Lagos during the presidential election wasn't just from the igbos alone but from 'some' brain clouded, emotional religious sentimental yoruba christ!ans who were sold with the Jihad bullcraps. After the victory, instead of building bridges, extending hand of friendship with the yourbas that voted against Obi, making them reason by drawing them closer and also at sametime solidifying the alliances with yorubas on their side already, that voted for obi. The southe@sterners, feeling pompous and inflated came with the campaign of 'taking over lagos' . .. They ran twitter spaces, host interviews aided by their propaganda media house, AriseTV, scribbles and tweets were churned out about how they will sack all the obas and takeover the whole place.

How can you expect the yorubas who sided with you against their tribesman, Tinubu in the presidential election to feel about it? Happy that you want to takeover their ancestral land and mock them with it in return, just like you use the word; 'Afonja ' consistently to make mockery of our loss in Ilorin.

Sanwo Olu victory was not as a result of tribalism. The yorubas fought together as one again, and they won. Different yorubas from different religion, political parties, and across all board left our differences asides at the corner, came together to 'rescue ourselves'. (once bitten, twice shy)

At first it was cruise, then it became aggressive, now it is uncontrollable.. Cant even be tamed nor can they reason well. It is all noise, zero thinking and strategy. The Obidient movement is turning out to be a curse to Peter Obi and the hardworking innocent igbos who committed no crime but paying for the sins of the headless mob.

Urchins have always demonstrated to have short term memory, so I'm not surprised

The thing I hate the most in life is hypocrisy.

We saw tugs attack people in other regions especially the southeast but nobody talked about it.

We saw how certain people were saying Lagos is not Yoruba land for the past one month but no one said anything about it.

But when Yorubas do anything in retaliation, they are called Tribal bigots.

Let me guess, you're a Yoruba person. Yet another Yoruba person using the word, "Lagos is No Man's land". If I had a cent for every time I heard that word from a Yoruba person, I'd be a millionaire by now. I'm almost inclined to believe that Lagos is in fact No Man's Land due to how many times you guys keep making that statement

I remember joining Nairaland when it used to have intellectuals and people having reasonable conversations. I guess all of them left this toxic cesspit long ago.
