Long term capital should be invested in corporate bonds, government bonds, stocks, genuine real Estates and personal businesses (provided you have the patience and temperament to run your own profitable and sustainable business) Very few people have the ability to do so. Maybe about 1% of the population or less.
Well said sir. It's good to have you back. Reading your post and that of your other moniker impacted me alot financially.

I have noticed this, that's why I'm not sending to those who pm'ed after the 12am I indicated yesterday and that's why I put in a self destruct feature just to limit value liquidation. Plus if you have interest to re sell, know that you would be a virus in a system meant to help people. I am never scared of stuff like this on reddit but now that people are bringing it up, I'm wondering. Please just be ethical for once. Anyways, batch 2 links were sent out just now. Would complete others soon.

hey bro, sent you PM on the 15th of this month with my other moniker which is currently banned. you asked if it was LOMS. which i said yes, but am yet to hear from you. Please check your mail.

Lol i just bet mostly on in play soccer games on bet365, bwin or betfair for fun and make some decent ROI at the end of the month using my own

method. Media buying and https://scrapeinsta.co/ which is an instagram scraper that scrape phone number and emails from instagram are my

main source of income. I was thinking of creating whatzapp group to guide users and give in play soccer/pre game tips to group members so that

they can bet directly once tips are provided.

Good to hear. Getting a WhatsApp group would be nice as well. Making it premium to avoid crowd and also to talk about various money ventures is good as well.

That said, the estimated beta value of the bank @ well above unity(1) and the industrial average shows that sentiment is still tilted on the side of a healthy patronage(vol).
In contrast though, it does appear that the 'belief system' on the part of investors has been quite weak. This is even more true considering that the coys equity price has stayed solidly below its 50 sma in the short-mid term, while its 200 sma prints even much higher. ...referencing a clear reservation on the part of retail investors and an indifferent/weak romance/belief on the part of FMs, FPIs and DPIs.
With FBNH therefore, caution should be the watch word !!

RabbiDoracle:

Your strategy needs to really change if truly you are what you are o(you know what I'm referring to).

Do value investing. Target good stocks that pay good dividends that has high beta (preferably banks). Buy when people are selling(when Market I depressed). Then sell when there is a bullish market.

You are thinking of loss because you carry your big load dey jump with people with small load. You are like a fat man wanting to do what a thin man does. grin You can't scale a fence when gbege starts na.

So restrategize and keep your load where the size go fit enter. Stop listening to noise of gains from small firms with low beta.

Anyway many people dey on gain in case you didn't know.

Sir,
Please how do you gentlemen estimate the beta of a firm to know if it's is high or low. Am currently reading a book on investment valuation by damodaran which he talks about beta, bit I don't seem to understand it. Please can you help me out. Thanks.

If there you were not in a structured employment, add it. Better than having a gap on your CV. Those are the areas that trigger difficult questions in NNPC interview, where a good number of the questions will be from your CV.

But if you were in a structured employment, no matter how insignificant, put it, as it is better than freelancing for this kind of job.

So here is my ranking

Nothing/gap < freelancing experience < structured employment.

All the best.

Good evening jarus,
Please when will you be having another WhatsApp career seminar for final year students/fresh graduates. I have a kid sister still in final year and she is really confused on what next after graduating. You, being one with huge experience in the job market, I believe your advice would be helpful. You don't seem to understand how free float works. Do you?

İf you free float, it is supply and demand forces that will drive the currency prices. CBN will have no control over it. This will be worst than devaluation. Currency speculators will finish us. Any intervention by CBN will be seen as capital controls.

Any slight event in Nigeria like rescheduling elections or killings by BH will send the Naira to 1,000 or more. And this will cause the severest form of inflation especially if your economy is import dependent.

The best we can do in Nigeria is to develop our local industries and depend less on foreign goods. Made in Nigerian goods should be replaced with foreign goods.

Like someone mentioned, develop infrastructure so that it will attract FDİ. İmprove security greatly. Security is messy in Nigeria. Assets can't be protected where there is no security.

RabbiDoracle:

That is what you are made to believe oga!

Look at the economies of other oil nation's like UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, they are not free floating. İs this peg affecting development and FDİ? Even the Chinese economy still has element of central bank control.

İs UAE not rapidly developing? Why must you tie development to free floating of currency?

I believe proper management of resources will go a long way to develop the economy. İf all the funds earmarked for development of infrastructures from 1960 till date were spent on the project and not embezzled, we will not be struggling with dearth of infrastructure. But they loot and mismanage and you come here to say freefloat.

Turkey that free floated nko, come and see wounding. İf the ruling party sneezes, lira tanks. İf they say this, it tanks again.

Even after free floating, lots of countries still introduce currencies controls when there is crisis to prevent rapid deprecation of their currencies.

All you really are is an advocate of lazy, self-hating apathy, too careless and unmotivated to do even the minimal amount of work to educate yourself on the things you pontificate about, even when others have spoonfed you the knowledge as I did when I gave you links to Wikipedia articles on how London was also a shithole at the height of the Victorian era; had you not been a lazy self-hater, you might have gone on to learn that Chicago was even worse right into the 20th century! Lucky for the people of Europe and North America that their leaders weren’t drawn from your cloth, content to berate them as inherently flawed instead of proffering practical solutions to their ills.

This will be helpful for those who may not understand ideological systems of ruling. They are simplified here:

*SOCIALISM:* You have two cows, and you give one to your neighbor.

*COMMUNISM:* You have two cows, the government takes both and gives you milk.

*FASCISM:* You have two cows, the government takes both and sells you milk.

*NAZISM:* You have two cows, the government takes them and kills you.

*CAPITALISM:* You have two cows, you sell one and buy a male. You multiply your cows and there is economic growth. You sell them, you retire and you live on your profits.

*MODERN CAPITALISM:* You have two cows, you sell one and buy a male. You multiply your cows and you buy those of your neighbors. Then your neighbors become your shepherds, you pay them in monkey currencies and they die poor.

*AMERICAN SOCIETY:* You have two cows, you sell one and you have to make the other one to produce milk like 4 cows. By stress of producing beyond her capacity, she dies. You hire a consultant to understand this death.

*FRENCH SOCIETY:* You have two cows, you go on strike because you want a third cow.

*GERMAN SOCIETY:* You have two cows, you modify them so that they live 100 years, eat once a month and take care of themselves.

*CHINESE SOCIETY:* You have two cows, you sell milk to your compatriots and you produce plastic milk to export to the rest of the world. You become rich.

*BLACK/ AFRICAN SOCIETY:* You have two cows, you eat them all in one month, and you dream that donors or the international community give you more cows. When that doesn't happen, you go to a church and hope for miracle cows. You fast 40 days and 40 nights without eating or drinking so that the cows will fall from Heaven. At last You die in extreme poverty

I'll be honest, I did not read economics.

My love for economics developed by reading the Economist magazine. The Economist has been my favorite magazine since the age of 17 years.

The writers have a phenomenal understanding of economics and they say it has it. I love the Free Market which seems to be the most dominant now.

I also read other magazines such as Times, Bloomberg, Forbes and so on. Anything economics and current affairs I love and that includes local newspapers

I like reading. I buy Suya, I read the Suya "paper" or I ask the Suya man to cut a certain strip of his yet to be used paper if there's something of interest there

I also love the Internet. There's a deluge of information there.

When I was in Lag, there was an MD of a now definct bank teaching us a finance course. He'd ask an economic or finance related question and I'll be the only one answering. He was dumbfounded grin A lot of girls adored me

There was this other guy whose forte was knowing names. If you ask who was the MD of lever brothers in 1970, he'll give you the answer. That I found dumbfounding !

Thanks for asking! Appreciated

I believe Omohayek and 4play read economics, most likely overseas

Nice to hear sir, I will definitely tow that path. Please what do you mean by the free market.

Most people don't realise that most government spending goes to generous unaffordable entitles programs and not lost through corruption.

That was what bankrupted the Greek economy. Very generous pensions with early retirement and a bloated civil service and many others sank Greece.

Did you study economics in the university? If No, where do you get so informed about economic policies within this country and outside the countries. By reading books or following online newspaper?
Would really love to know, as I want to be informed like you.

Lots of inane comments and ridiculous posts aimed at discouraging the lad.

True though that the job market is highly competitive and is survival of the fittest, but these factors don't mean individuals in tertiary institutions should be complacent towards their studies. Rather, they should strive to achieve the best. Xammax, my advice is:

- Ensure you get As till you graduate

- Don't envy your competitor (the lads I competed with were my best friends in school and till now)

- Don't bother to know his grades. Your focus should be to finish excellently every semester ditto session. Don't be like Liverpool that hopes for Manchester City to fail so they can win the EPL.

- Attend EVERY class unless for unforeseen circumstances and keep good relationships with your lecturers and everyone in class.

- Eat nutritiously and exercise periodically. Also, keep abreast with the latest developments in the industry.

- To achieve this aim, don't attempt ICAN presently (I don't know your capacity but it will be stressful running both concurrently). Rather apply for a scholarship afterwards and get exempted for the Foundation Level.

- Don't mind folks who yap about third class graduates "working in oil firms" or "managing big enterprises (yet to see one)" or "employing first class graduates (why did they not employ their fellow third class fellows?)". There is nothing wrong in competing with anyone, it brings out the best in you.

- After your program, you can take aim at different professional certifications depending on your financial capability (ICAN, ACCA, CFA, CIS etc). Better still, you can combine the CFA Foundation Program (this is easier to combine than ICAN) as you progress.

Regarding job search, prepare for Workforce, Dragnet, SHL and GMAT. Be informed of openings and tricks involved (there are lots of them these days). Apply to audit/financial services/corporate firms and prep very well for their test 'cos some allow candidates to write it once as an entry level individual. Additionally, you have age on your side, so you are not only opportuned to apply to ANY opening (ask TGI and Dufil Prima Foods) but lucky to be on the right side regarding the age cap during entry level applications (average of 26).

True story: I know a lad who is a first class grad of Economics from UNN and got a job in one of the big 4 before he finished NYSC. Dude also got sponsored by ICAN authorities to write the diets. And trust me, there are many of such folks. Just finish well, prep for aptitude tests and the sky is your starting point.

Best wishes!

Hello please how can one get those job test questions like SHL, DRAGNET, WORKFORCE,GMAT and the rest. I wouldn't mind paying for it.
Thanks

Pentecostalism has been so successful in hoodwinking hundreds of millions because they pretend to have gifts of the holy spirit like the first century disciples of Jesus.

They claim to speak in tongues (not in an discernible language) but are actually blabbing nonsense to borrow the words of a magazine.

They claim to heal but out of a thousand people that go, only 1 is "healed". Many of these pastors are known to visit medicine men for powers

There was an incident many years ago when a pair of Jehovah witnesses got to a witch doctor's house. They didn't realise he is a with doctor and knocked

When the witch doctor came out to see who it was, he enquired what they came for. They told him. He enquired what denomination. They said they were Jehovah's witnesses. He refused them entry. He said that none of their members ever come to him to seek powers unlike other churches.

The night Chris Oyakhilome was at Synagogue Church of all nation's, I was there. I told my cousin who is a pastor. He doubted it and informed his wife who said I probably didn't know who Chris Oyakhilome was grin

I'm a witness and I'll stay that way. I'm too old to be calling a pastor daddy or his wife mummy or celebrating their birthdays (Read Matthew 23:8-12)

We have no ushers in our kingdom halls passing bags around. Rather there's a contribution box somewhere in the congregation where you can make your donation in secret.

Account reports are read out monthly and how monies are spent. Those taking the lead serve us as ministers. There is no special sit for them and their wives. We are all brothers

At our headquarters and Branch offices worldwide, all and I mean all earn the same stipend from the "lowliest to the highest" and there's truly no lowest or highest. You can see the branch overseer sweeping one day and writing reports the next day.

No special seating arrangements in the cafeteria. They are all equal. You can't differentiate who is who

Where can I go and experience half of these (Read John 6:67-69)? And here I shall stay (Read Habakkuk 3:17-19)

You told your cousin what?.
Didn't understand the bold.

I used to spend heavily on fuel for generator but I have stopped it. So, this is what I do now:

Nepa has a kind of timetable they use in my area. So, they bring light in the morning around 10am or 11am or sometimes 12pm, then they take it around 3pm, 4pm or 5pm. It depends on when they brought it.

For night time, they bring it again around 7pm or 8pm and leave it till around 4 or 5am the next day.

So, what I do is that after studying their routine, I now flow with it.

My laptops battery can last up to 4 hours to 6 hours depending on what I'm doing. So, I start working with my laptop in the morning hours until they bring light, then I plug it. Before they take the light in the evening, I take some rest. Then continue again in the night when they restore the light.
