Bro pls just put that intl law aside the intl law America and its allies have violated hundred times over for their selfish interest. Now look at the network of military bases America has built to encircle China in that region and you don't want China to take some counter measures?

The military bases China is building in the south China sea is to stop America's armada from taking China by surprise given the history of China's invasion from the sea. Bro this is a game of power please just put international law aside America would violate that intl law just to achieve its own selfish interest.

And how is America a democratic power sir? A country that has terminated democratic regimes around the world and replaced them with dictators. A country that operates a self democracy that only favours its white population. Is that a democracy. Don't be brainwashed.

If US and its allies are serious about international law, America and UK should vacate Chagos-Island and return it back to Mauritius, they have yet to obey that UN order since last year February. America should obey what the intl law says about Israel-Palestine issue, they should bring Saudi Arabia to justice over the killing of jamal khashoggi, let me stop there.

America and its allies should lead by example you don't expect others to obey what you guys are violating.

They have used their western institutions to oppress weaker countries for years now a powerful country like China won't be oppressed that's why they are having problems with China.

You guys would be quick to praise U.S and its western allies without seeing their hypocrisy. Even Daddysidhan who is praising you is an illiterate just like you. You guys should always think critically.

I just want to hug you right now. I feel like crediting your account right now i swear lol. These guys are ignorant of who the real transgressors are. Their mentality had been warped and they will keep aping the US till eternity. Let me put this out there for those who care to know, China has never been involved in a significant war in the last fifty years. Meanwhile, you can't say the same for Uncle Sam.

Bunch of filthy cowards! They bombed you and still have you under subjugation 75years after - in the name of ties & treaties; subtly rubbing your humiliating defeat in WW2 in your ugly faces - even as she continues to re-inscribes her military victory over you as a means to drastically curtail your quest for vengeance & retaliation.

These Sushi-eating bastards should have marked this 75th anniversary by turning New York, Chicago, California, Washington, Texas & Pennsylvania into nuclear wastelands, inorder to send the incorrigible & belligerent children of Belial in the United States of Taliban a strong message that reads:

Remember, Remember, the fifth of November 1945, the Gunpowder Treason and Plot.

I know of no reason why the Atomic Treason should ever be forgot. grin

By now, the United States of Taliban would have become an empty football field - with every goddamn POW and their families speaking either Dutch or Russian. grin

Greetings to everyone
I have been a silent follower of this thread for quite sometime now. Have seen all the good works you guys have been doing, I'm in kind of a complex situation right now so I would be really greatful to get your honest advice on my current situation
I studied microbiology in a public university in Nigeria I "finished" last year 2019
I finished secondary school 2015 at 17 gained admission same year,i applied to study microbiology out of the fear of staying home for an extra year i had the mindset that to study medicine of nursing one had to be on the level of Einstein or something , my passion has always been in the health sciences.
So i resumed school 2016 a freshman ready to conquer a "tertiary" institution but got the Shock of my life on the kind of education been provided "my secondary School was quite exclusive or at least we had the necessary requirements for quality education"from overcrowded lecture halls with a single lecturer talking to himself in front" we were over 2000 receiving lectures in a 300 cap Hall ", to general living conditions,
NB I am not trying to make an excuse for my failure after all I had course mates who graduated with good results i know it's all my fault i failed but I had no motivation or interest in going further but I no fit come tell my mum's say I no do again she was so happy when I got in on my first sitting bought me heaven and Earth the day I let for school so I decided to see how it goes and went further.
Now I am a 22yrs old 3rd class graduate, ready to give education another go
I plan to apply to study a medical related course(Nursing or medicine undecided ) in the US
Is it possible? I mean what are my chances?, Is my 3rd class in microbiology of any use, because I don't even know where to start in terms schools, evaluations and what not
Please I need y'all opinion on this no matter how brutal it may be thanks

Hi coldburn,

Firstly, are you looking to get another first degree or masters degree? For a masters degree, your course isn't align with the program you intend to study in the US, it is highly unlikely, virtually impossible your gp will get you an admission into any medicine or nursing program in the US and I don't know your financial capability, the tuition and fees for the program, particularly the undergraduate, will discourage you.

As you are still very young, you still have a lot of time to set things right. My advice for you is to pick yourself up, persevere and get a PGD in microbiology here with a good grade, write GRE, then start applying for microbiology masters program in the US. When you get to the US, you can make your dream come to pass.

Goodluck

If people wey get experience dey tell you something you go dey argue because say you get data, phone and nairaland account.

That subsection you highlighted in your picture refers to current students with visas that left the country before the lockdown (during spring break) and will be trying to return for fall semester or incoming students that got visa before closure of embassies. Nothing concerns ICE and embassy.

Embassy and visa are sole responsibility of USCIS. though both agencies falls under Department of homeland security (DHS) their duties are clearly distinguished.

When you hear DHS use the word "admittance", they mean Visa, legal entry and staying lawful in the country, if USCIS use the word "admittance" it may then mean Visa, if CBP use the word "admittance" it means entry into the Country and if ICE use the word "admittance" it means lawful stay in the country. Don't mix them up

That directive have added more uncertainty to the whole F1 process especially for upcoming fall semester. In a communique issue out by a school, ICE will be clarifying a section of that directive in the coming days.

So stop dreaming and trying to explain something you have no idea about. ICE issuing out that directive were not trying to help embassy reopen because embassy is the sole responsibility of USCIS that are currently fighting their own battle with solvency

Guyy, small small o.

Your best bet is to ask the admissions team.. Different policies and merit programs exist in different schools, there is no blanket answer for this.
Confirm from your school of interest

Please, for those whose program' duration is two years, will they get a tuition discount in the second year, too?

Also, what are the odds of having ones tuition completely/partially waived in the second year after an impressive first year performance?

Hi guys, I did further digging on the dataset that cochtrane scraped using a business intelligence tool called Power BI.
Note: The analysis is for the date when the thread made it to front page, not when it was created which spanned from 3rd of June 2019 to 2nd of June 2020 . The data has 28,516 threads from 38 different sections by 5025 different accounts.

Few insights from the dataset
-dre11 is the king of political threads with 361 threads followed by Islie(329) and ijustdey(225) during the time captured. Lala is more interested in celebrity threads compared to politics, followed by Alex. Ogbiwa is the defending champion of sports threads.
-Threads are mostly pushed to front page in the morning, which is reasonable since that is when the day begins.
-There was spike in threads that were pushed to front page in July 2019, but I can't tell if that is the norm during that period since we don't have previous year's data to make the comparison.
-You will find that threads in religion section top the threads that make it to front page on Sundays, but it came third after politics and celebrity threads.
-853 threads made it to front page with "kill" keyword. That is worrisome and a cause of concern.
e.tc.
Lots of insight can be derived from the data.
Below is a link to the report. It is interactive, so feel free to play around with it.

If I try to import the csv,it's saying not found.

Maybe the csv file is not in the same directory as python/anaconda. you should write the whole csv path directory in your code.

pd.read_csv('c:user\desktop\filename.csv')

I have followed this thread from page one to the last, and this is my first time of commenting.

I live in Canada, and after coming across this thread, I had to buy a new laptop and monitor and start my data science course online, even though I have a background in Maths/Statistics from Unilag.

However, I'm of the view that it is not entirely correct to say you don't need the knowledge of statistics as some people have made us believe to become a data scientist. I suggest we take courses in basic Statistics, Bayesian Theory in particular

Politics / Re: AfDB Board Denies Asking Adesina To Resign, Says No Decision Yet On Fresh Probe by brashear: 8:46am On May 29, 2020
[/b]
emkz:

Interest. The United States is the largest shareholder in the IMF and World Bank as well as the highest non-African shareholder in AfDB. Adesina has been expediting loan requests to African countries which caused the World Bank President to complain that Adesina's actions increase the debt portfolio of African countries (actually, Adesina's style causes the African countries to reduce loan requests to World Bank and IMF). To put him in check and protect US investments in AfDB and African geopolitics through US creditor power, Adesina has to be kicked out.

PS: For your second question, no African countries own shares in the European Central Bank or European Commission or European Investment Bank, and no EU or African country owns shares in US Federal Reserve Bank (no law would permit it), so they can't put their mouth in how those institutions are run.

One lapse too is that AfDB loans are denominated in dollars. So the US can sanction them for "misusing the dollars". An unrelated example is that UBS (the largest Swiss Bank) paid $780 million to the United States government for helping US citizens hide their money abroad thereby evading taxes and attempting to impede the role of the Internal Revenue Service, i.e., what the United States is doing interfering in AfDB, they won't allow anyone try it with their own institutions. Yet, Africans gave them too much power. Perhaps, it is time to denominate AfDB loans in selected African currencies and find a way to buy out the United States.

At the bolded, Gaddafi comes to mind. I think that was his plan and the west made sure it never came to reality. That is there worst nightmare.
